For over 20 years cafcass have ignored domestic abuse, coercive control, parental alienation, my ex drink driving with my children in the car and his new wife, I’ve had my whole body smashed to pieces on the concrete in front of my young children, the family court found him guilty he was given a non molestation order, but they don’t link cases so he gets to go back with no history every time and accuse me of a vendetta it’s an oppressive shit show since fathers for justice cafcass have aligned with males only, documentary mums in the run bbc1 shows rapist being handed custody and mothers fleeing with their children to northern Cyprus’ we need to wake up and smell the cofffee

Incompetence

Incompetence, corruption, lying under oath.
Cafcass do it all!
They are a law until themselves, how a ‘social worker’ can be given so much power is disturbing.
Somebody needs to get a grip of them before they cause an epidemic

Cafcass destroyed my family

Cafcass are a disgusting group of people. They looked at police evidence that said an accusation was false and still said they still completely believed it happened and apparently they can't see any alienation of my son by his dad which mountains if evidence to back it up which was spotted very clearly by a social worker 2 years prior to this. This resulted in me loosing my son recently in court and my daughter loosing her voice being heard of wanting to live majority with me. Court system is screwed but Cafcass are deliberately destroying lives.

Absolutely lies and false accusations…

Absolutely lies and false accusations against me getting my children from my toxic ex husband.after my separation I was left on the streets and my ex husband and I agreed the kids to stay with him until I find a job and a house. He even didn’t want the kids, whoever one day I got a phone call from cafcass that in a few days im having court hearing online (COVID period)for the right of my kids. The accusations against me was absolutely ridiculous and I can easily prove that but was not given any chance.I am an immigrant who back then could barely speak English and i asked if i can get any translation. Not given either.I was alone on the phone against the whole organisation,my ex lawyer and a judge and not being able even to understand everything.Whoever the right were given to my ex partner and I can only get to see my kids every second weekend and with supervision from him or his relatives.I was not given even a small chance to prove that everything was not right and and basically my existence was nothing.Back then knowing that im doing everything possible to be financially stable to get my kids, the same one he did not want to be with him and they still took his side without even allowing me to defend myself against the accusations.Nothing was right since then.I never had any official email or anything official paperwork for my case, the whole process was so quick without any questions or any evidence whatsoever just words which were not even true.Shame on the entire system that “saving children “ and doings everything for the good of the kids. You are one corrupt system full of lies .It didn’t happen now it happened 2019 but I won’t be allowed to submit this now

My experience with Cafcass was…

My experience with Cafcass was unacceptable. Reports contained inaccuracies and clear misrepresentations, which completely undermined trust.
Most concerning, my child was not made to feel safe, supported, or even properly listened to. And full of lies.
For an organisation responsible for protecting children, this is a serious failure.
I have no confidence in CAFCASS.

Liars who gain information through false pretences

I am the partner to a parent currently going through proceedings. I was reluctant to speak with Cafcass due to repercussions of false allegations about me and my children (not to my current partner) from the mother of my partners son. Previous false allegations to social care and my children's school. I was assured by the Cafcass officer it would not be recorded in the section 7 report and he would not do anything I was not comfortable with or against my will. I explained that although I understood the importance of the section 7 in safeguarding the child in the middle of ongoing proceedings that by being involved in communication with cafcass it would put my 2 children at risk. The Cafcass officer reassured me no end that it would not be included in the report so I had an open and honest discussion with him thinking me and my children were safe. The section 7 report arrives and not only did he include the conversation, it had its own heading with a full reiteration of our conversation - only not only did he gather information through lies and false pretences, he also recorded it wrong. Our conversation held no weight to the recommendations made, I didn't tell him anything he didn't already know but as a result me and my 2 children are now at risk. Do not believe a word that comes out of their mouth, they are liars, gain information through deceit and then misreport. I now find myself having to put extra measures in place with my childrens school as an organisation put in place to protect children has done the complete opposite. According to their own policy, Cafcass are to inform parties that their information may be recorded in reports, I was told the complete opposite, he even read out what he was going to write in the report to protect my identity but when the report arrived he had lied about this. Cafcass lack integrity and as a result have put 2 children not part of proceedings at risk. Disgusting organisation, not fit for purpose. Formal complaint made and if I have to take this to the Ombudsman I will.

I Was a victim of domestic violence and abuse. My children were witnesses to physical abuse and also put in danger by other parent and none of this was taken into consideration. Now other parents has access to children and the abuse to them and myself continues! Seriously corrupt organisation!

Horrible skum

Monster Mum only had to play victim and i already lost, took her word right from the go, wasn’t interested in my side at all. Turned up 3 days before court, rushed the report in taking mums side. Barely a mention of what I’d said to them.
Horrible people, they’re power hungry skum at best .
Gave the narcissistic mum all the back up she wanted
Cafcass are probably atleast half the reason dads commit suicide

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would.

Ruined the lives of my children through inaccurate reporting, believing lies on one side and not doing their primary role which is to act in the best interests of children.

This organisation needs to be held to account.

Not in your child’s best interest.

Unfortunately not a good experience as many others have said.
At first I felt listened to however as time went on they continually refused to speak to my son who was old enough to view his thoughts and was already doing so at school however apparently “school reports” aren’t professional enough…. But a Cafcass report who has never met my child, spoken to me once and refused to speak with my child is enough of a professional opinion and unfortunately the courts go along with whatever Cafcass say too.
I will say that the lady who attended court for our first hearing was lovely however still I do not believe they have the children’s best interests at heart and it’s a lot of tick boxes.
I was told by court in the final hearing that Cafcass would be there however contacted Cafcass who said they wouldn’t be there as the case was closed although it was very much on going and I am left with a child who has to face the bad decision made by Cafcass and the court every day and live this while they just carry on messing up someone else’s child lives.
Do I believe they really truly have the child’s best interest at heart….. No.
And unfortunately they don’t class the mental health of my child due to numerous situations that happened at his dad’s house as a safeguarding issue.

Claims to have child’s best interests!!!!

Terrible service claiming to have the child’s best interests in Exeter. They do completely the opposite. After coparenting 50/50 for over a year I entered in to a new relationship so contact was stopped. They spoke to me for 10 minutes on the phone then spoke to the mum. They then recommended no contact or indirect so I could send magazines and books! How does that have my sons best interests when he has only ever known his mum and dad on a 50:50 basis. Due to the court process being so slow I then went a year without seeing my son. He was only 2. When he was 3 I finally got to see him in a contact centre where we both burst in to tears with relief. He had not forgotten me because I had such a strong influence on his life. How do they get away with this?? Complaint made but supportive of the staff member without answering my questions and then closed down with no right to appeal.

If I could give zero stars I would!

If I could give less I would! One star is generous.
Contradictions in report, blatant omissions, rushed timelines. Decisions made quickly and then even when presented with contrary evidence instead of being accountable doubling down on backing mistake. My child has lost trust in adults as they failed to listen to his voice. He sobbed “she looked me in the face and lied to me!” It breaks my heart to have to send them back to an abuser whilst we have followed all the rules shown evidence and documented lies but no one cares! I was critiqued for minute details but nothing was even mentioned about me being assaulted infront of kids… how is that fair or just? What person can disregard domestic abuse. If I was still in that relationship and the children said what they said I would be held accountable for not leaving, but leave and safe guard children and I am criticised and forced to send them back! It’s insane. I am sure there are some decent ones but it was not my experience. They were biased, illogical and dismissive of the abusive life we lived, it makes me sick. How can one person who took little time and interest put my children’s well being in to question. I am their safe parent… no one listened!

Disgustingly biased report

Disgustingly biased report, believing everything the mother of my children said and nothing of what I said. Fortunately I was granted an independent social worker to provide the family court with a S7 report which was a fantastic representation of the facts. Notably the ISW stated that the mother had no evidence for any of her allegations.

Lying abusive officers that don't understand domestic abuse or the needs of traumatised children

Initial cafcass officer had conflict of issue being that we worked together but she refused to hand over until I put a complaint. Her manager took over. Both officers ignored my reports of voilence and abuse to both myself and children. One minimised it to one occasion (there had been three non fatal strubgulatiobs and one break and enter with a knife being held to my throat in the middle of the night and threat to kill me. A number of death threats have been made. The other officer didn't record any abuse.
They changed what my daughter communicated ignoring that she was saying she didn't want to see her dad and quoting that she wanted to see him. They quoted so many things that they had just made up. They lied to the court and made out I was obstructive to get a special order to force my child with anxiety to see them. They lied about their experience to the judge to make it seem like they are qualified to work with children with anxiety disorders. They lied about what I said. They made no appointment with me to get my views. Their pen marked my new cream carpet and the spilled water over my sofa. They were inappropriate telling me about other clients. They were aggressive when I didn't have a parking permit for them. They had no understanding of domestic abuse or stalking and encouraged the stalking parent to give my daughter a banking card that tracked her spending in real time when ive had a number of non mols for his stalking behaviours. She stole money and only declared it when I reported it. Forced an appointment in the morning my other child had their first a level exam not caring at all for the needs of my it get child. The thing that most stands out is the amount of lies that cafcass officers told, even when witnesses were present.

Carcass are the most useless agency and…

Carcass are the most useless agency and completely biased against fathers. They deal with things via phone calls and Not face-to-face. They don’t care about fathers they massively buy into the trope of where mothers will always be better than fathers. This whole system is completely corrupt and needs changing urgently there are too many children growing up without their father and too many mothers stripping away the father‘s legal rights through lies and deception and Cafcass our party to that.
