I spoke to a very very nice man called Mike Dewey he delt with all my problems in a very professional way he was kind and considerate and sorted my policy for me and advised me with what to do if I got stopped he made sure I had my policy number and correct contact numbers if i ever need to speak to someone again I will ask for mark Dewey thank you

I had the great misfortune to be insured under Bewiser , first time owning a car in the UK. I tried to find a cheap insurance, little that i knew what was about to follow. The adviser gave me a quote in order for him to sell, rather than being mindful of my needs as a customer. Instead of using the information I had given him, he made changes to the information required to make the price more appealing to me; as example, 1st, instead of a EU-Driving License Holder, he selected UK-Driving Licence Holder fact which I discovered once i received the paperwork. I immediatly called back to point this out, but the answer that I received was " Oh yes, sorry you can cancel if you like, but you will be losing your deposit or you can change your licence to a UK one or pay an extra excess cost of £700+ " 2nd-ly after i clearly spelled my name to him he still wrote my name wrong which the insurance broker refused to accept quite rudely i might say and charging me to change it. 3rd- ly, the times i had to call them, 2 out of 3, i received horrible and rude costumer service from the person i was speaking to, making me feel "oh well now you are a customer we have no time or willingness to spend time on you" 4th-ly, I received an email saying that my insurance has been renewed, without me being informed or accepting any cost and now i have to phone and try to cancel it . long story short these were a few of my experiences with BeWiser and i would like to say that i cannot think of any reason to even consider trusting them again.

Ok so iv had my license for 10 years with 4 years insurance on company vehicles. I have had no accidents, no claims and a clean driving license. My cheapest quote before trying call wiser was £900. This company quoted me £3000, £3300 and over £10000!! Who in here stupid mind is going to pay this amount for car insurance! Stay away!!

It was a pleasant experience speaking to one of your sales team whilst getting a quote to renew my car insurance. He explained everything very clearly and his diction was excellent.
My husband had already taken out a policy with BeWiser and suggested I did the same once my car insurance became renewable and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of cover etc. at an favourable price.
Will definitely recommend this company to people in future.

Having tried other companies I didn't think I'd get a better quote than from my current insurer, but BeWiser saved me over £100! Quick quoting, all set up very quickly and knowledgeable staff. Would definitely use them again.

The first young man I spoke to was very helpful but failed to make it clear that if you cancelled your policy within the 14 day cooling off period you could kiss most of your deposit goodbye. I called to query this and was told rather abruptly that you can't cancrl policies for free. I wasn't impressed with his attitude.

Yesterday I tried to get a quote on line from Be Wise, after having been forwarded to their website on Royal & Sun Alliance's website which was mentioned as one of the best 10 car insurance companies for 2016 by Auto Express. Don't understand how that can be when Be Wiser is apparently doing the job for them.
I couldn't finish the quote on line as the registration number of my car was not recognised (?!). Someone rang today and during a pleasant conversation we went through the whole quote again. After adjusting the voluntary excess and adding home service to the 'free' RAC breakdown cover, I was happy with the quote and paid for it. Got all the paperwork by email.

A few notes however:
- I wasn't told over the phone that I would have to send in proof of my NCB. I think it's essential to mention this and also what the consequences are if that hasn't been done within 'the next 14 days' (apart from a £25 charge when Be Wiser has to call about it).
- Not happy that adjustments and amendments to the police come with a hefty price: £35 plus 20% of the Insurer Premium!!! Last year I moved twice and was already amazed being charged at all for just changing the address but that was nothing compared with this 'penalty'. And judging by other reviews it is actually being applied!
- Would have liked to been told during the phone call that the premium includes £65 as a 'non-refundable charge for placing this policy'.

Am a bit shocked by some of the reviews on Trust Pilot but am willing to give Be Wiser the benefit of the doubt.

Polite, patient, and sensible man conducted the deal. I was slightly hesitant, but he was on the ball to get the deal closed by helpful negotiation.

Very good slight error on wrong registration number that was entered.

Dealt with promptly when discovered.

Would recommend them.

I have had other companies who renew and take payment automatically, but BeWiser give YOU the choice, and will do their best to beat any other quotes you have - remembering all policies are not the same.
Good advisors, good telephone manners and a Birthday bonus!
