Had a wonderful time here with Lynne. Booked our appointment and she had space for last weekend. Found my dream dress in no time at all!
Highly recommended

Lynne made my daughter feel at ease as soon as we walked through the door.
She listen to what we wanted and worked with us to get our perfect dress.
Lynne was not pushy at all, gave us all the time we needed and never tried to up sell.
Our experience was wonderful and she gave my daughter a gift which was so kind.
We would definitely recommend.

I visited Lynne at the Studio in February, 6 months before my wedding, arriving with very little confidence but left feeling that once all the alterations and changes to the dress that I wanted had been done I would have the dress of my dreams and would look a million dollars walking down the aisle, and my last review was based on that experience.
I told Lynne on arrival my budget for my dress. I tried on a few dresses and then eventually she showed me and I tried on the dress I fell in love with, which turned out to be over my budget. During the whole hour I was there at no point was the mention of the alterations costing extra ever made. I appreciate in hindsight I was maybe naive to believe this was included in the price of the dress but as I had told her my budget I would have expected her to say I needed to allow for the alterations. However when I went to the seamstress that Lynne said could do all these alterations, it quickly become apparent that the dress was not designed to have such major alterations. Although the absolutely lovely lady was amazing and said she could do it, she also confirmed my fears that once it had been done, it would spoil the whole look of the dress. Although the seamstress was unable to quote me for the alterations, when I spoke to a friend in the business, it quickly became apparent that the cost of the alterations would substantially, and I mean substantially, add to the cost of the dress which was already over budget. I am lucky enough that had the alterations promised been able to make the dress look like the dress of my dreams I am in a position and would have paid for them, however I appreciate that when people say they have a budget - that is it within reason.
When I spoke to Lynn about the fact that the dress was not designed for such drastic alterations, (twice, once on the telephone in front of my friend who came with me to buy the dress, and once in the shop in front of my partner) she said she was not a seamstress and did not know that. I am sorry Lynne but you should not promise things if you do not know the facts.
When I confronted Lynne about not being told about the alteration costs, she said it is in her T's & C's which were on the back of the invoice which she didn't give me until after I had paid for the dress.
Although Lynne has given me my money back and offered to find me another dress, I did not want to take that chance a second time as the trust had been lost. I now have two months to find another dress causing a massive amount of stress, sleepless nights and has totally ruined the build up to my big day.
I am not writing this review out of malice, purely I would hate anyone else to be put in the situation I am in right now,

My first appointment with Lynn was okay, she chose a range of dresses for me to try on, one of them I loved! I was unsure as to whether I was going to get it on the day as it was the first dress shop I had been too. But Lynn informed me they were one offs and it could sell which I understood. I said I needed time to decide, to which I felt a bit pressured as she said she had another appointment coming in and the dress I liked could go, etc, etc. I went to the cafe next door to have a think and then we went back into the studio after, baring in mind this appointment wasn’t anywhere to be seen but I gave her the benefit of the doubt as someone may have not shown up! I ended up paying the deposit for the dress as I didn’t want to see it sell to someone else. After my first appointment, everything went downhill. Communication was incredibly poor, long time to reply to emails, 2 appointments cancelled, finally got an appointment booked in to try my dress on. When I arrived at the studio, there was others customers (as expected) so the other lady asked me if I wanted to try my dress on in the middle of the shop floor, to which I decided against as there was no privacy and other people present. So myself and my Mum were walking around the studio looking at the dresses, shoes, accessories, MOB outfits, etc. Lynn then told us we were not to look around but to instead sit down behind the mannequins and in a pile of stock. Basically where we couldn’t be seen. I honestly felt like a naughty school kid and at this point was very tempted to up and leave if I wasn’t so desperate to try my dress on. She then tried to get me to try my dress on in the middle of the shop floor twice more, to which I again politely declined. We sat and waited and I eventually got seen about an hour after my original appointment time. But I do understand there can be delays, I was just upset at the way I had been treated. The other lady in the shop took me into the changing room and helped me get into my dress, which again, I love my dress. When I had finished and taken my dress off, (not yet dressed) Lynn just walked into the changing room without asking or announcing her entrance, which I thought was quite rude and unprofessional. Lynn was then telling me that my next appointment would be with her seamstress lady but I decided against it, paid my dress off and took it away with me that day. If I’m honest, not one part of my wedding dress shopping has felt exciting and even though I do like my dress, I really really wish I had gone elsewhere. I did not have the experience I had always dreamed off and see other people have. My Mum, who was with me, was also extremely angry and upset due to the poor experience I had. She also decided against purchasing an outfit from the studio as we got told off for browsing!

Miss-sold a dress. Lynne was judgemental and rude, making unsubstantiated weight gain assumptions and claims, furthermore she was unable to resolve in a timely or satisfactory manner causing huge stress 3 weeks before the wedding. Unprofessional and frankly offensive post sale experience. Took to court to get my money back.

Had a great time picking my wedding dress. Plenty of beautiful dresses to choose from. Thank you so much.

my first experience with Lynne was alright.
I found a dress.
my second was not as good. my dress was nice but not the right colour. Lynne's response was with irritation, the colours have numbers not names, when I asked about this.
the stoll she sold me was not usable. there was no clip/clasp or ribbon ties. the response to this was, couldn't the seamstress do something about it? I should not have been sold something unfit for use.
she agreed to a refund on the 24th of April. it took until the 12th of May for her to actually issue the refund. initially I was fobbed off, then offered £35 less than I paid. finally after multiple emails many of which were ignored, 2 days before my wedding, after causing much unnecessary stress, I got the refund.
stay away.

I am afraid 1 star is generous. Lynne doesn’t know how to use a tape measure. She offers a made to measure service and measured one of the bridesmaids is a size 4 (approx) and when we arrived for a fitting 4 weeks before the wedding it’s massive, probably a size 10. We now have to rush around and get it altered. I will be billing the studio for this. She offers high quality accessories this is a case of expectation v reality…whoever made the ties needs to go back to sewing school! Lynne is now on holiday, a day after our appointment, this wasn’t said, she just said she is ultra busy and if we want a final fitting with the bride maids dresses she may struggle to fit us in. She needs to communicate with her receptionist better as they were unaware of her holiday! She states she is waiting for her supplier to get back to her about the ties, surely she should know how bad they were? She showed them to my daughter very quickly we didn’t realise until we got home. These issues lie very much with Lynne. Her aftercare is terrible. Please avoid and use another studio

I went for a follow up appointment with Lynne yesterday and my bridesmaids came with me so they could be measured for their dresses. We also had our hair and make up trials with Louise and Holly. We had a lovely experience as usual. Lynne and the girls are so lovely to work with. They are so patient and kind and really know how to make you feel at ease and to look fabulous for the big day. I have never felt rushed or pressured. And Lynne still gave me time yesterday to try my dress on again so I could get an idea of the ‘finished’ look. I cannot understand the negative comments on here. I will always give the Cambridge Bridal Studio 5 stars, and I highly recommend Lynne to anyone who is looking for their dream dress with an excellent, knowledgeable and friendly service to go with it. I am already looking forward to going back once the alterations to my dress are complete.

Had a really wonderful time here with Lin!! She was truly amazing and found me the perfect dress for my body style and budget. She is def an expert! Looking forward to picking it up and trying on some shoes and vayls on my nex appointment.

Went to this studio for a an appointment to try dresses. Covid meant I had to go alone, but she wouldn't allow photos, which put me off as I couldn't get any other opinions on the dresses.
The trying on was very rushed, a bit like a super charged conveyor belt. Then I was pushed to choose one.
When I said I wanted to think on it, her mannerisms changed and I got lots of high pressure sales talk, "dress might be gone by the end of day if you don't reserve it" etc. I felt super uncomfortable, and bought my dress elsewhere in the end.

I had a horrendous experience with this company. My wedding was cancelled first time around due to the pandemic. I let Lynne know. She told me that she will have to charge me for storing my dress. Then I found out that on their website they store dresses for free. We finally got a new date for our wedding from August 2020 to May 2021. I emailed Lynne and told her I needed to book my first fitting in January 2021. She booked it. I work full time and took the day off for annual leave. She emailed me the Monday and told me I had to pick my dress off with no explanation, I booked my first booking for that Wednesday. I didn’t see my email until Tuesday evening (I have all my emails from her saved for proof). I went for my first and only fitting with her and it was very rushed. I wasn’t allowed to bring anyone with me so I didn’t know what I was looking for. She couldn’t fit me in again until 1 week before my wedding, I only had one fitting. When I picked up my dress there was a bride with someone with her, remember I couldn’t bring anyone with me. I tried my dress on and Lynne rushed me out. I took my dress to my bridesmaids house and none of the alterations were tied off I spent £300 in cash, I wasn’t allowed to use my card. My bridesmaid had to tie off the alterations. Plus some of the stitches tore because my dress ended up being too small for me. I couldn’t see this because I was vulnerable and sling each time I went in. Close then down they ruined my wedding that was already ruined by Covid £1,500 later.

Another complaint, after having a bad experience from start to end I found out she gave me the wrong veil. Just before my ceremony I found out it was over twice the length of the one I chose at the shop.

Lynne made sure I checked the dress upon collection and pointed at the veil in the bag but did not open it or get it out. Now I have complained she’s tried to blame me for not checking it and said it was the one I chose. Which is definitely was not!

Definitely don’t be blindsided by her politeness and don’t trust this woman.

Amazing experience, total trust in lynne. Gave honest and excellent advice, had lots of time and patience. Enjoyed every minute of my appointment. Didn’t think I was going feel as good as I should when looking for my wedding dress, mainly due to lockdown weight gain. I was nervous on arrival but found the one and….Said yes to the dress! Thank you 🥰

Went today to find my wedding dress. From the moment we walked through the door Lynn made me feel welcome and comfortable. Her expertise and experience helped me find my perfect dress, just happened to be the first one she picked out for me. I couldn't fault anything about the experience and highly recommended Lynn at Cambridge Bridal Studio.

Having purchased my beautiful "one off" wedding dress from Lynne prior to the 1st lock down we returned yesterday for a flower girl dress. Lynne was her lovely self, she had already celected a dress that she thought would work for us and she was absolutely right - my little flowergirl looked stunning! Thank you Lynne! Your bridal studio is beautiful, so many gortogeous dresses. I have recommended to a few friends and cannot wait to visit again with my daughter in law.
