Not a Sustainable Choice – Filters Discontinued, Bottle Now Useless

I bought a CamelBak Eddy+ with LifeStraw thinking I was making an environmentally responsible choice. Less than a year later, CamelBak discontinued the replacement filters - the one part that needs to be changed every few months to keep the bottle usable.

Now I’m left with a pricey bottle I can’t use unless I pay $65+ per filter from third-party sellers - that’s nearly the price of the entire bottle each time. This is not sustainable for my wallet or the planet.

CamelBak claims to support sustainability, but designing a product dependent on a regularly replaced part and then discontinuing that part which only creates more waste. It’s extremely disappointing, and I won’t be buying from them again.

Excellent customer service.

Excellent customer service.
Returned a leaking reservoir after many years service.
It was replaced with no quibble under their "Got Your Bak™ Lifetime Guarantee" which covers all reservoirs.
Many thanks to Camel Bak.

No customer service

I have two mag chute bottles. I bought the second one before I realised that the bottle cap collects particles behind the silicone seals and creates mould. It's very difficult to clean this area. I emailed them for advice and they ignored it,which seems to be how they operate based on the reviews.

Genuinely surprised

Genuinely surprised. My cat bit my CamelBak bladder making it unusable (don't ask). I messaged them to understand what the best way to fix it was going to be and they said they'd send me a new one to replace it. Really pleased with the customer service and now reading the other reviews, genuinely surprised that it was so good.

Worthless lifetime guarantee

Worthless lifetime guarantee. The plastic strap holding my Camelbak water bottle cap broke. Whan I raised a warranty request I got an automated reply that said I needed to go to the shop I had bought it from with proof of purchase. This company is not serious about supporting its products.

I have ordered twice back to back and…

I have ordered twice back to back and no delivery. Upon inquiring about delivery I was informed my order was cancelled because it's out of stock. TWICE
It appears they are not able to update their website. I'd have better luck getting something from China.

Terrible customer service

CamelBak customer service doesn't actually answer the questions you ask in their reply or simply doesn't respond altogether. I bought a CamelBak MULE 14 Pro, and the backpanel is so flimsy that it buckles under the weight of just the bladder alone. Even when I put 1.5L water in the 3L bladder and leave the rest of the 9L advertised bag space completely empty. I'll be buying backpacks with bladders from different brands from now on.

They won’t speak to customers

There is no documentation about how to disassemble the lid for cleaning. The url on the label (/clean) redirects to a UK website home page. No info about cleaning. The website has no info about cleaning. I conclude that the lid does not disassemble which is not acceptable for me, making the product useless. Camelbak won’t reply to email or instagram.

Fake advertising

Got two graphic bike bottles. All nice, clean and crisp on the images on the website. Bottles came, there is one extra layer of white plastic over the image, making the image barely visible. And the images are printed on a layer of something that is all smushed and crumpled up. Disappointing. Was not surprised when I saw their rating here.

Poor customer service!

I called customer service. They asked me to send an email to customer service instead. I did that and waited several days for a response to no avail. I emailed a second time with no response. I then called customer service. I submitted the information requested for my order. I then received an email that stated, “Please help us by sending one email or call back request, multiple requests can slow response time.” I laughed…. Then respond to your emails in a timely manner!

Disgusting company refused return

Disgusting company. I returned a bottle in perfect condition, bubble wrapped and they claim I had put water in the bottle and so couldn’t accept a return.

I never did put water in the eddy + lifestraw as it weighted a ton which is why I returned it.

Avoid this company at all costs and buy any one else’s products!

Very poor customer cancellation service.

Mistakenly ordered 750 ml bottle instead of 1 litre bottle.
Immediately emailed , twice (as initially no response ) to cancel the order.
Then a response to say we are dealing with it.
Next email .
Order has been dispatched.
In the meantime I ordered a replacement 1 litre bottle from them.
Both bottles came in one package saving them one lot of postage that I paid for a bottle that I cancelled.
I now will send it back having to pay postage again making me £7.00 down on a £17.00 purchase.
Wish I had read the reviews earlier !!!

Disappointing product and support

In the past year I used 3 plastic Eddy bottles and loved them. Recommended them to friends and colleagues too. Now I bought the stainless steel one. When you drink, the valve adds air to the water which makes you burp. Customer support does not respond, their chat cut the chat off after giving a lousy answer. Loyalty has limits. The stainless steel bottle is also heavy.

Expensive and defective item!

I have only had the water bottle for 1 month and there is no way normal wear and tear is responsible for the faulty seam. I have requested a lid replacement as it is an expensive and defective item. However my request was rejected, even though ‘The Got Your Bak Lifetime Guarantee’ promise us that they would repair or replace manufacturing defect! I do not recommend this brand!

Camelbak "got your bak" NOT

Camelbak "got your bak" Unless you need a new valve on a bottle that has been used ten times. Then it's sorry you have to but a whole new lid for half the price of the bottle. Absolutely disgusted by this response. I thought Camelbak were a trusted brand, seems I was wrong

Two day delivery is in transit for TWO weeks now

Ordered two kids drinking bottles on 10th of June and the received invoice said it’s going to be a two day delivery. I was expecting a bit of a longer wait as it goes from the UK to Ireland. On the 12th I got an email from Evri with a tracking code and can see it has moved to LHR at least but there it’s stuck since the 14th. Sent an email to customer service on the 19th to please check on the progress/ shipping label/ custom papers but not received anything back or any updates so far apart from a mail that it will take them up to 5 (!!) business days to answer back. My parcel is in transit for two weeks instead of two days now and has not even left the UK yet. Fingers crossed that it will arrive eventually or it will be refunded as lost. Definitely would NOT recommend to buy from them direct. I could have “walked” over to England and would have been faster.
