We arranged for Camp Hopson to pack and remove the contents of our house from Newbury into store. The first, smaller, part of the contents was to be delivered into a small, temporary house several months later, and the larger load over two years later to a house that was being built in the Midlands.
When the first load was delivered there were a few problems as some items that had been badly packed, and some items were delivered that should have been retained in store and delivered in the second load sometime later. Peter Donaldson, the manager, dealt with the packing problems efficiently and we were fully compensated very quickly; the furniture that was scheduled for the second delivery was taken back to the warehouse and repacked into a container ready for delivery with the larger load at a later date.
The second load was delivered, as planned. The two men who came with the first removal van were extremely helpful and moved the furniture around as requested. The second van delivered the final load. In the end there were some damaged goods on this second move out of store. The list of damaged goods was sent to Peter and after discussion with the insurance underwriter, with input from Peter, a compensation value was agreed and was paid within 24 hours. We were very satisfied with the resolution of the problem.

I would recommend this company, excellent service from everyone. From the first phone call to Sunny to all of the removal men . Nothing was too much trouble and made the move more stress less

We contacted Camp Hopson with a slightly unusual request: collection and storage of a piano, fridge freezer and three piece suite. We feared that the cost would be the same as a full house move but it turned out to be very competitive.

The ‘can do’ attitude of the staff was very impressive and the politeness and professionalism of the collection team was noteworthy.

We would certainly recommend based on our experience.

We were looked after well from the look round for the quote, the arrangements for the moves and the costs. We moved out in may and put our furniture in storage while we renovated our house.we were very pleased with the moving out team,storage, and moving in team. At all times this was carried out professionally and we were kept informed at all times. The moving staff were friendly helpful and knowledgeable.

Camp Hopson collected my piano and stored it while we were having work done on the house. They then redelivered it.

We moved house last week and only had one company to quote after the great service we received from Camp Hopson when we moved to our previous address over 14 years ago, when we couldn’t fault the team. The quote was a good price and the date required was available, so we signed the agreement and a key part of our house move was sorted. We collected as many boxes of different sizes and tape and packed up our home. On the moving day the vans arrived as arranged with a great team of guys. Nothing was too much trouble for them even though it was a very warm day and we kept them topped up with drinks and sugar fixes! The team spent time looking at what we needed to move and sorted out how best to pack the vans. When our old address was empty they asked about completion time and this was confirmed by phone. At our new address all our worldly possessions were unloaded and allocated to the rooms as labelled. We were particularly impressed by the effort to make sure our large sofas ended up in the right room, which meant taking off feet! When everything was unloaded they checked all was ok, and after the good humoured banter which had helped a stressful day pass without issue, we thanked all of the team. We would recommend the whole team from Sunny in the office, to David who came to quote a really pleasant and genuine man, a real asset to the team to the 4 men who moved us on the day. The professionalism and service from Camp Hopson far exceeded our expectations and if we move again we would only want them to move us. We have been telling everyone how great the removal process was and would like to once again thank the whole team. It was great to have a team of removers who obviously took a pride in their work and wanted to do a good job, they also seemed to enjoy what they were doing, we wouldn’t be as settled as we are in our new home without all their hard work. Through word of mouth we were continually told that Camps were one of the best removal companies in the area and we also knew that they were a premium service not a cheap man-in-a-van outfit. I can honestly say this was the most well spent money in the entire house buying process. If we did decide to pay a little bit extra we got back twice the service we were expecting. An extraordinary team of four packed, disassembled furniture (and reassembled at the other end) and loaded with courtesy, sensitivity and a lovely wit amongst them all that put all the stress of moving aside. This is about as good as it gets for removal companies and if you want to just relax and enjoy the big day this is the company for you. I can do nothing but 100% recommend this gold star service for getting you into your next home.
