Slow, clunky, complex, and cumbersome.

I downloaded this application believing that it would help me upscale and improve the quality of a small video. Unfortunately, I made a huge mistake. The application is too big, consumes lots of memory, and is slow and cumbersome. If I leave another program open, it will slow down the computer and cause it to freeze and crash. I opened the Task Manager to see what was causing it, and the major culprit was this application, which consumed almost 2 GB of RAM.

The interface is literally a clone of Adobe Premiere, and there are no instant options to upscale the video. You have to comb through all the options to find the one you need. They could have made it simpler, but it's easier for them to complicate things and make our lives miserable. It took me several minutes to find the feature that was locked behind a subscription. I tested it, and the results were poor. You cannot even export the video without a subscription. One of the worst programs ever. Don't bother with this tool and don't pay for their premium membership. It's really not worth a penny, and you will be disappointed with the results. Stay away from it. That is my advice.

Impossible to get a refund from these…

Impossible to get a refund from these guys. Paypal denied chargeback despite them autocharging my card, even though UK laws state that you should not have very difficult refund procedure on purpose. Do not buy from this company.

Spent hours for the AI to produce garbage.

I used the free trial version and spent hours with the AI editor, describing the details of my production script and uploading all the assets. It agreed them all and commented on the vision, clarifying it understood throughout. Then hours later, it generated a garbage video that was embarrassingly bad. It agreed to the special effects. Afterwards, it apologised for misleading me, agreed it should have told me that it could not deliver on my vision. Waste of time. I could have produced something better using a manual video editor, but wanted to animate still images (such as breathing) which was the promise and the lie of the AI bot.

Kept charging after unsubscribing

They kept charging me for 2 months for the pro version even after I unsubscribed. Reached out to customer service, they only sent a procedure list on how to unsubscribe. There was nowhere in the app where I could have resolved that issue autonomously. I had to reach out by email. They finally fixed it, the next step for me was to cancel the credit card i was using because I couldn’t see any other way out.

Currently doesn't work

Currently doesn't work. Spent hours editing a 30gb movie - it then takes about 15mins to "export it" to my phone - but doesnt. The 30gb file is inaccessible so I cant get it from the capcut app on to youtube etc. Pointless and a waste of money.

Charged multiple times in 1 month. Log in and says my pro account is cancelled yet still being charged... no way to get in to contact for help to understand what is going on or try to get a refund.

Age Verification

Basic features are blocked or restricted, and even simple tasks like adding audio or exporting a short video become unnecessarily complicated. "Age verification" appears inconsistent and prevents normal use, which makes the platform unreliable for creators.

Instead of supporting creativity, the tool creates frustration and wastes time. A video editor should make workflows easier, not harder.

For now, I will not use CapCut anymore and will look for alternatives.

"Support" not fit for purpose

After reporting a login issue with a pro account and detailing the troubleshooting steps I had taken to resolve it (with considerable experience as an IT Pro for over 20 years), I was extremely disappointed to receive their standard troubleshooting template, of which most of it I had already explained I had done, and the reset complete and utter rubbish (like checking my graphics card for issues!).
No one had actually bothered their arse in reading what steps I had done.
A total waste of time.

If you want to create a solid usable video you have to get premium and it's understandable

The only thing that I absolutely don't get is how come there are so many errors with such a high price tag?! And why did platforms like AFFliks.com
managed to solve these issues a long time ago but Capcut is still experiencing repetitive endless glitches with facial consistency, lip synchronization, uploading footage and making minor adjustments? Even exporting videos doesn't work smoothly. Apparently the generated videos are often so far off the mark that they can't be salvaged.

I'd go so far to say this company is dishonest

I'd go so far to say this company is dishonest or their customer support is so bad it seems dishonest. Let me explain. I repurchased CapCut 18 days ago to use their clone avatar. It said you can only have one avatar at a time, great that's what I need so I subscribed after having to beg my manager to resubscribe. After subscribing, that's when the hidden costs surface. First, I created my avatar, it kind of sucked. Then I see an option on the avatar that says you have one more chance to create your avatar between a date range. Immediately, I'm realizing that Capcut didn't reveal this to me be for I purchased. Hidden costs that is. So, I recreate my training video and go to regenerate my avatar. It starts spinning away and says 19 minutes remaining. 2 hours later it still says 19 minutes remaining. I submitted request for support. That was around 3/14 and it is now 3/27. No response from Capcut. So, after 2 days the regeneration still spinning and saying 19 minutes remaining. I have no choice because of no support but to delete the avatar to try and create from scratch rather than regeneration. Now, when I try and create the avatar it wants me to buy more credits to create the avatar. Now, I'm unable to create the avatar because Capcut scammed me and I'm not going back to CEO to ask for more money after realizing I've been scammed. I created another support ticket around the 3/15 and have received responses from Capcut, but they are not doing anything to help and have not credited me back so I can recreate the avatar with the new training video. I've now been 18 days unable to use what I have paid a subscription for and demand a refund or resolution.

Here is the latest email I received on 3/26:

CupCut very poor support app not work probably

We were using originally PICTURE RESTORE app PixelBin but after trying Capcut, we love it result was much much better. But there is a problem the up is not restoring all pictures for some reason with many photos we were getting error message TECHNICAL ERROR try again. We did many times but the all the same pictures was not restore. Help on line was absolutely hopeless we were getting round and round the same reply. So I contacted Capcut by mail. The aske to send problematic pictures, What we did. This is they brush of reply: >>>Images are converted fine. Maybe there is a problem from your side such as your internet company may have a filter to block images they think not appropriate.
Also, you may try to convert your images from WIFI or non WIFI, on mobile and Desktop. <<< they did not send back any problematic picture restore I send???. They Ignore the fact I use PixeBin UPP previously where all picture work. We also try Nano Banana where also picture was restored (not the same quality) . So the Cupcut support was jut nasty not interested to actually help. What the shame, the photos which was processed are really good.

What a rip off, so you go pro and it states signing up to pro removes watermarks. NO it absolutely doesn't, so just false advertisements just to get your money.
