This is shockingly bad
This is shockingly bad. I paid $71 for a subscription and keep being prompted to pay more and it won’t let me use templates. It also keeps linking me to scam storage clean up ads (even tho I have plenty of storage) and won’t let you use the app unless you buy them. It is a total scam and should be shut down. I want a refund. So upsetting.

I purchased a pro account for my sons birthday. It was done via a QR code, around 6 months later we lost access to the account when there was a change in Capcut terms and conditions. He lost all his work, the problem never got resolved. Automated responses, no continuation chain. Every time we emailed support it started new line of enquiry for the same issue. We gave up with it, issue not resolved. 6 months later I’m debited again by Capcut £99.99 for a service i never had. Capcut refused to refund, i took the issue up with Amex and somehow Capcut seem to have convinced my card holder we are wrong. I have cxled my Amex card since as I can’t trust Capcut not to charge me for a service we never received again. Avoid

I have found capcut to be a very slimy company. Often, the system will sneakily apply pro features and then when you try to export your video, you suddenly have a billion pro features that you have to go back and manually remove which adds 30 minutes to an hour of your time and you can't download it unless you either pay for the $20 version or do that manual work. This has happened to me multiple times and I have tried reporting it and had no customer service help whatsoever. I've also had issues with it completely removing the clips that I am working with and I have to relink the clips every single time I go back into the system to work on the video. It's disappointing because I like how simple and easy to use things are but I just do not trust the company.

Nearly everything is locked behind a paywall called "pro." and i cant even make images anymore. they just use AI and dont even put in the work to make a tool that actually removes the background of an image. hell, this is the worst editor ive seen, only good things about it is that the editing is easy. they say its a pro when they arent even pros.

I’m honestly really disappointed in CapCut. Locking previously free features behind a paywall feels greedy and unfair to long time user's. Ive lost access to so many videos because of these changes.
After over seven years of using CapCut, I’ve finally uninstalled it and moved to an alternative. It’s sad it came to this, but the trust is gone.
I can’t recommend CapCut to anyone anymore. I hope your company goes under
Go away Capcut
CapCut’s desktop version, while stating it is free, quietly lets you build everything… then hits you with the “Pro export” wall if you’ve used even one premium animation, font, or effect. Non of it looks "premium" and you have no idea which tool is or isn't premium. Should have made that clear at the beginning. A total waste of my time. Deleted off my system.

It works fantastic until you decide to export your work, then it ask you for subscription even though you are already subscribed, then it admits that you are subscribed but there is no way you can sign in to manage your account so it freezes and that’s the end of it, and then the cycle starts again and again and you can try for more than an hour and nothing changes, so decided to contact them to ask for a refund and they reply the same reply over and over again with no solution and no refund. I AM SICK IF IT.
Poor Support
I purchased Capcut with the five free days. This didn't work. It told me I had purchased the PRO Capcut but I didn't have any credits. I contacted support. with screen shots of my invoice, proof of no credits, and proof I had Capcut Pro. I sent emails five times and they could not understand I had no credits. If it doesn't work your screwed because no one can help you. They did refund my money but that's not what I wanted. Capcut seems to be a good product and I wanted to try it out. I think their support is lacking knowledge of the product.

I have had CapCut Pro for two years, and first of all, back in 2021 the fade-in effect was free. Now it requires Pro, and they removed too many effects that were really good.

Even then, the advice was generic, didn't solve my problem and cost me a month's membership. Would never use again as their support is so bad.
