DO NOT BUY THIS SOFTWARE
DO NOT BUY THIS SOFTWARE! I just paid for my annual fee of $179.99 up front and never received pro service. I can't even export the pro clips I made because of this error. No one in customer service will respond. The Singapore location tells me to email the US CSR team but no one will respond. I've emailed them over 20 times, no response. Complete trash of a company, customer service is NON EXISTANT. TELL EVERYONE!
complete and utter trash
complete and utter trash, their server are shit, you waster hours because nothing on the app works due to networks error, the support is a joke
pro is stupid
hate that everythings pro now you can barely do anything without having to pay
How come there's no option to search fonts?
Too many changes in a short time without informations to user
Too many changes in a short time, without a news log for the user? Users aren't informed at all about what's going on; the subscription model doesn't seem to be active right now, but it's being advertised?
What a mess.
I like the idea of free generation, but the whole thing is currently far too opaque.
Change in price bad; simple functions good
I was very disappointed by the change in pricing structure and how it took me by surprise. I did bump it to 3 stars, however, because even though it doesn’t do a lot, what it does do, however, is simple to execute. I’m not assaulted by buttons and menus I will never use.
Charging for software I don't want or need - and no customer support!
I TRIED to start a free trial of CapCut. The page would not load my CC information. So I was unable to start a trial and test it out. No email notification, nothing from CapCut indicating that I was starting a 7 day trial. Now a week later, I'm charged for a month? There is no reason for this software. I can do everything and more with free tools. Their only hope is payments accidentally going through after 7 days. Also, there is no support email anywhere. Ridiculous.
I was charged for a pro account fee…
I was charged for a pro account fee after a 7-day trial and the app had no option for cancellation. It took me 4 atraight days of non-stop email communication with them giving them screenshots of the charge and other info relevant to my complaint. Finally, I got my refund. Il
This is a class action lawsuit waiting to happen
This is a class action lawsuit waiting to happen. Signed up for a free trial, was charged for the year subscription instead to the tune of over $200. Their own TOS says you can request a refund within 14 days for ANY reason, however the catch is they'll just lie to you over and over and let you chase them for a year until you give up with no resolution. Their headquarters are based in Singapore and you will have to go through Singapore courts to get your money back. In my case, they lied over and over about approving and sending a refund, and then took my Pro benefits away, so I'm out both my money and the service. Paypal won't side with you if you paid with them, by the way. Billionaires in cahoots with each other, naturally. Don't use Capcut, it's genuinely an actual scam.
Paid upfront, features downgraded after purchase
I paid for CapCut Pro based on the features that were available at the time, including AI video generation and longer video creation tools. After paying upfront for a year, those same features were either restricted, capped, or moved behind new limits and paywalls.
This feels like a classic bait-and-switch model: attract users with powerful tools, take payment, then change the rules after the refund window closes.
What’s most frustrating is the lack of transparency. Core functionality was changed after purchase, generation limits were introduced, and features that justified the subscription were effectively downgraded. This isn’t an upgrade — it’s a downgrade after payment.
I would not have subscribed if these restrictions existed at the time.
Trust is everything with creative platforms, and once it’s gone, it’s gone.
Not recommended. I won’t be renewing.
Very disappointing experience after years as a paying customer
I’ve been a long-time CapCut user and, until recently, I would have recommended the app without hesitation. Unfortunately, my recent experience has completely changed my view, particularly around pricing transparency, customer support, and overall app stability.
Firstly, the subscription structure is incredibly unclear and misleading. The Pro version is already around $30 AUD per month, which is not too bad. Naturally, you would assume that the Team version would include Pro features with the ability to add a team member. Instead, CapCut treats them as entirely separate products. To simply add one seat for my husband (who occasionally helps edit videos, on his own computer and account), I was expected to pay $35 AUD for Teams on top of $30 AUD for Pro, totalling around $65 AUD per month. That is excessive, poorly explained, and feels like a blatant cash grab.
On top of that, I was charged twice for the same subscription period. Despite clearly explaining the issue and providing the required information multiple times, I was stuck in an endless loop of automated responses asking me to repeat myself. I never spoke to a real person, never felt heard, and ultimately never received a refund. To then receive an email stating my issue had been “resolved” and asking me to rate the experience was frankly insulting.
The app performance itself has also gone downhill. Captions take an unreasonably long time to load, the app frequently freezes, and editing videos longer than 10 minutes often causes crashes. This is happening on a high-speed MSI gaming computer (Core i5), so it is not a hardware issue. For a premium-priced editing tool, this level of instability is unacceptable.
Charging professional-level prices while delivering unreliable software, confusing subscription tiers, and fully automated customer support shows a serious lack of respect for loyal users. Judging by the number of similar reviews here, these problems are clearly widespread.
It’s genuinely disappointing to see a product I once relied on decline this badly. I will be moving to an alternative editing platform that offers clearer pricing, better performance, and actual human support when things go wrong.
A Pro subscription fee was taken from…
A Pro subscription fee was taken from my account and I never received the Pro Version. After almost a year of going back and forth with the customer support email, I still have no Pro Version .I have provided all the necessary information and proof to them, and they still keep running me around in circles. I am absolutely disgusted with the way I have been treated. Please find an alternative to Capcut because if you have a problem .....good luck!
Capcut Pro is a total scam
Capcut Pro is a total scam. The customer service is total bullshit; they don't respond, and even if they do, they keep asking you the same questions you have already answered. I beg you to stay away from CapCut.

They stole my money 3 times almost the same day
I am super frustrated. I waited until black friday to buy my subscription in 17 nov 2025 for 349 dkk in apple subscription.
But again on the 17th november 2025 i am charged 699 dkk for a subscription i already have!?
on the 21st november i am wrongly charged again 1299 dkk. Why!? and what is it with all these different prices? They arent being fair at all.
I talked to apple and they told me to get refund directly from you. But they say you cant without you but you can compensate me for the errors. Why am I charged for the same subscription 3 times? And why didnt my black friday get activated for the 349 dkk as i first wanted?
Called the bank and the police
First of all they charged me ONE YEAR for a 2 weeks free trial, and I called the police and the bank for that. REFUSED THE REFUND and also really buggy, shitty app that doesnt give ANYTHING good for free. There are so many other better apps
