Paid off both credit cards

Paid off both credit cards. Zero balance on both accounts. 30 days later I get charged interests on charges I didnt make. Customer service rep was rude and condescending saying I need to pay credit card in full every month. I felt like I was being scolded.

This has been the worse experienced…

This has been the worse experienced ever!!! Our flights were cancel without informing us!!! We lost our money and they would only gave us $25 credit from a $800 flights! We spoke to supervisor Edward which made it seem like he was going to help but he did nothing!! He checked calls with had with their against which he agreed they never informed us our return flights would be cancel and still did nothing to give us our flights back. Definitely would never be using them again even after we have book multiple trips with them. Would never recommend this to anyone.

I noticed 2 separate interest charges…

I noticed 2 separate interest charges every month and checked it out. My card has a cash advance feature.I was charged 10.00 each time I used it.I used it last in 2020. Apparently they charged a separate interest charge for the cash advance once you used it. Even though the cash advance was only 80.00 dollars, they have been charging me 60.00 dollars a month for 6 years in separate interest charges. That is insane. How to stop this?

I had a dispute from a horrible Airbnb and Vapital one

I had a dispute from a horrible Airbnb experience. Roaches and no hot water. Was a $6,000 purchase. I had to leave the premises. Airbnb would not give me my money back only$2,000. Capital one jerked me around for 3 weeks. I sent 50 documents in a pdf. They kept lying and saying they didn’t receive them. I have receipts. They took away my $2,000. Refund and kept lying to me that it was on my account. It was not. Bad customer service. Condescending reading from a script. I am cancelling my card and I hope no one had to go through this with any credit card company. They are the worse. Liars. Never again for Capital one or Airbnb.

Why can’t I give Capital Zero a Zero

Why can’t I give Capital Zero a Zero.

Capital One often receives poor customer ratings due to frustrating customer service, rigid or confusing account, and issues with card security, such as multiple card replacements. Users have reported unexpected lower credit limits and issues with reward, alongside a 2025-2026 lawsuit regarding misleading interest rates on savings accounts.

I’ve been a loyal Capital One customer…

I’ve been a loyal Capital One customer for over 15 years. For a decade and a half, I did everything the right way—paid my bills on time, never missed payments, and paid thousands of dollars in interest along the way. I believed loyalty mattered. I believed that if I ever hit a hard season in life, the company I had supported for so many years would show a little understanding in return.

Last January, my life took a turn I never expected. I lost my job. Instead of giving up, I tried to rebuild. I started a business, hoping to create something better for my future. Unfortunately, I trusted the wrong business partner, and that decision cost me my life savings.

Since then, I’ve been fighting every single day to stay afloat. I’ve sold my personal belongings. I’ve canceled every unnecessary bill. I’ve applied for job after job, nonstop, trying to recover and rebuild my life. Through all of that struggle, I still made sure to keep my payments to Capital One on time, because that’s the kind of customer I’ve always been.

But eventually, reality caught up with me. I reached the point where I had to start researching bankruptcy. I even looked into debt consolidation programs where credit card companies negotiate balances down to half. Out of loyalty—and honestly, hope—I decided to call Capital One before taking those steps. I explained everything: the job loss, the failed business partnership, the sacrifices I’ve made, and how hard I’ve been trying to stay responsible.

All I asked was if there was any program that could temporarily reduce my payment or waive the monthly fee for a few months while I get back on my feet.

They told me they wanted to help because I had been such a loyal customer.

Their solution?

They offered to waive the late fee for three months—but only if I made the full payment on time.

Let that sink in.

I just explained that I cannot afford the payment right now. I told them I may have to file bankruptcy—which means they receive nothing. I told them I may enter debt consolidation—where their balance would likely be cut in half. Yet after 15 years of loyalty, the only help they could offer was to waive a fee that only applies if I miss the payment they already know I can’t make.

It felt less like help and more like a scripted response from a system that doesn’t actually listen.

Fifteen years of loyalty.
Fifteen years of paying on time.
Fifteen years of paying interest.

And when I finally needed help during the hardest chapter of my life, the answer was essentially… nothing.

Thank you, Capital One, for showing exactly how much loyalty really matters to you.

I would not recommend Capital One to others.

I have had a very disappointing experience with Capital One. On January 13, 2026, I called customer service to pay my full statement balance, including the interest charge, and requested that my account be closed. The representative confirmed the payment and the account closure.

However, two months later I received another statement that included additional interest and a late fee. I have never made a late payment in the past 10 years with Capital One, so this was very concerning.

I contacted customer service again to explain that I had already paid the balance in full and closed the account on January 13. The representative told me he did not know what happened but insisted that he could not waive the late fee.

This experience has been extremely frustrating, especially after maintaining a good payment history for so many years. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Capital One to others.

Do not open any credit card with them , they will never go one step further for the customer, you will be drain in fees if you have any balance plus they scammed customers with saving too. Mobile deposits are never available the next business day.

Capital One tells you that mobile deposits are available the next business day. However, every single check, I’ve tried to deposit with the mobile app gets put on hold for four or five days. I even did a mobile deposit of an ADP payroll check and Capital One put it on hold for five days. Absolutely ridiculous. Customer service keeps telling me there’s nothing they can do to push it any faster. Why tell your customers mobile deposits are available the next business day if it never happens? Not happy with this bank at all.

Captial One lacks on ethics

I had a savings account with ING that Capital One purchased, then converted to a 360 account. I had stopped adding funds, but with absolutely no contact they closed my account and sent the existing funds to my state as unclaimed funds. It will now take 1-3 years for that to process and allow me to TRY to claim my funds. Completely unacceptable behavior from Capital One. They had my current address, as I had updated it and they sent the letter to me as the first and final contact.

Late fees

I made my monthly payment on my 3 cards on the same day. Called customer service asked if they received the money person said yes and I asked to close one account she said done. 3 days later check my app and it shows a returned payment plus a late fee. I've been going back and forth with them they say they can't help because my account is closed. Now I have another late fee on the interest for the 1st late fee. They can charge interest on a late fee if the account is closed, but can't waive a late fee because the account is closed. HIGH WAY ROBBERY without a gun. Very disappointed and disgusted.

Never received card in mail

Never received card in mail. Cakes to the rudest agent alive. Tried to change the card, no problem. Try to change my phone number? Omg you'd think I was trying to get into another country!!! I'm literally on the phone, sent photos of id, etc etc and still wouldn't help. "Can't verify id" they say. Ive had 4 cards previously with capital one, had to close them all for capital one mistakes. I tried again, stupid me lol. Don't ever go with capital one, they suck, are dishonest, rude, won't let you change a phone number. Insanity
