Capital Wholesalers have always provided fresh produce.

I've used Capital Wholesalers a few times over the last year - they've always been great! Even at the beginning of the first lockdown (when everyone was scrabbling around for supermarket home delivery slots), Capital Wholesalers were able to deliver my orders the next day (in fact, I placed my most recent order at about 10pm and it arrived by 10am the next morning!). The quality is always very good (I generally go for the mixed fruit and veg box plus extras - the smoked cheddar is delicious!) and my wife and I really appreciate the fact they try to reduce unnecessary packaging where possible (including delivering in plain recycled cardboard boxes and paper bags instead of custom-made branded boxes and bags). I'll be placing another order soon!

On the whole, I am a very happy customer of Capital Wholesalers. However, on number of occasions items do not arrive when ordered, and there is no explanation provided. I usually email and am given a refund or an alternative date to deliver the missing items. It would be a better service if this information was provided up front, and I didn't have to chase anything. We have also had items in 3 separate orders that were past their best before dates. As I said at the start though, on the whole I am very happy with the quality, convenience and speed of delivery.

Really efficient and friendly delivery service. Low waste option as most fruit and veg come unpackaged and empty box exchanged each order. Most produce lovely and fresh with only the occasional less than perfect. Big generous bunches of herbs.

I've started using Capital wholesalers during the first lockdown and I haven't stopped since then! I love that they offer free next day delivery and take away the stress of either going to shop or "finding a delivery slot" like the big chains. I also find that it helps me control my spending as I'm not tempted to buy things I don't need and their produce are well priced. Only improvement I'd suggest is to be able to save and repeat your basket for more convenience. It would make it easier for my partner to use it too!

Capital wholesalers provide an excellent service, good communication if you have any queries, top quality produce. Their web site is very good and easy to use which is more than I can say for many. They were fantastic during Covid lockdown and I highly recommend them.

The one star was for the prompt delivery and the amiable delivery driver, otherwise I would give no stars at all.
Misleading website!!! Photos show fresh corn on the cob but what arrived was pre-cooked, pre-packaged with no sell by/use by date. It had been squashed in transit and when I opened it, it was smelly and slimy.
The rhubarb was soft and going bad in places, certainly not fresh. 1kg of potatoes came as two very large potatoes, both rotten. The fresh bakery produce was stale.
Some items were missing. I did receive a refund for those items. No compensation for the aforementioned items which went in the bin, only the offer of 10% discount on my next order. Obviously I shall not be ordering again or recommending them to anyone.

I really like capital wholesaler's products, but there are always one or two things not included which I am still charged for. Sometimes this can come to £5 or more, and certain items are consistently left out, leaving me wonder why they are on the website.

Great fresh produce, prompt delivery & any unavailable items are swiftly refunded. Unlike many wholesale outlets ordering smaller quantities of fresh goods for a two person household is no problem from these guys- you can order a single apple if that’s what you want.
I’ve ordered regularly for the past year and service has been consistently good throughout as the business has adapted to its new customer base.

Overall I’ve had a fantastic experience with them. Any products that have been spoilt on arrival have been quickly refunded which has been appreciated.

Very quick turnaround and good quality produce. It’s a shame that some items that I ordered weren’t available but the refund came quickly.

Vegg box was amazing, will definitely be re ordering. Fresh squeezed OJ tasted a little fermented - I think I waited a day to open which was a mistake. Would like if it was available in small sizes to ensure it doesn't go off.
