It’s a great service and it’s good to have it as a Safe Guard (just in case!!). The policy is a variable (depending upon your journey length). I liked the fact that the Whole of your Unit (including trailer, passenger/s and pets) can get repatriation back into the UK if it goes wrong.

Only had to use red pennant once this year because of a damaged 'run flat' tyre. Excellent service. Prompt and efficient. Good operator. Thank you

A comprehensive product to give you complete peace of mind on your trip. I have only had to use this once in a 40 year caravan life. I was in Switzerland and had a serious tyre issue. I called Red pennant and help was quickly on hand and the problem resolved

I have used it for my motorhome holidays to France an Ireland for anumber years. I've needed it twice for breakdowns and the support and service has always been superb.

I needed Red Pennant when my wife suffered a heart attack January 25 in Spain 🇪🇸. They helped with the language barrier and contacted hospitals on our behalf to get my wife through.. They contacted be on a daily basis to check ongoing processes. The staff manning the phone at Red pennant during this time were fantastic. Thank you.

Red Pennant insurance was the main reason to joining The Caravan Club. It served as a iron clad security blanket for European Travel .

I would not consider going abroad without red pennant cover , only used the service once , broke down in Portugal on Easter Sunday, they sorted everything out perfectly changed our ferry and checked we were ok .A real first class service.Thank you.

I have never had to use it but I buy it each year for peace of mind. BUT it does seem to be getting much more expensive.

Hi Barry. Many thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. Factors outside of our control have meant we have to reluctantly stop selling Red Pennant European Breakdown and Travel Insurance. Our underwriter for Red Pennant will no longer support the product and therefore this removes the ability for us to offer the product to our members. However, you are still able to purchase a single-trip policy until the end of January 2026, for trips up to the end of November 2026. All feedback is greatly appreciated. Well, I think I have a lot to say but I will keep it short ‘’Fantastic’’ when things go wrong the feeling you get is indescribable panic is a good word to use and then the feeling you get is an I going to get the help I need?? This was the situation, the day before we leave to catch the ferry home we are about 150miles from the ferry port not a problem we have done this journey many times. We thought we would do some last minute shopping so around 10am we decided to go into the local town. Got into the car and guess what dead as a dodo as they say. I drive a top of the range Lexus RX450h hybrid that in two years has never let me down. So don’t panic I phoned Lexus breakdown only to find out we are not covered, ok first thought is why book redpenent, well this is where I have to be honest I have always considered that redpenent as a emergency option just in case. Now to cut out the uninteresting bits as a ex mechanical engineer I sorted the problem however I did phone redpenent and the support I got was amazing so good I even received a call once we had disembarked from our ferry home just to ensure we got home safely. Redpenent insurance is an insurance that screams help and assistance when things go wrong these are the people you need to insure you get the help you need. Do not hesitate to book them you will never regret choosing redpenent, when the proverbial happens they are so reassuring the y are worth every penny!!!’

Absolutely fantastic service, we cannot praise Red Pennant enough. Even though the issue we had was outside the policy limits they helped us with translations and advice and found us a local dealer who could help. They called us to check everything was ok and even spoke to the campsite to ensure everything was sorted. We wouldn’t want to travel abroad without them, it gives us 100% confidence

We have found this product to be value for money. It gives a us peace of mind when travelling after reading people’s revues of their experiences when they have had a problem whist on their holidays abroad. As of yet we have had no reason to make a claim, but, intend to keep taking out You policy in the future. Regards Mr P Elliott

For over thirty years we have always taken out Red Pennant when travelling in Europe. Only had to use it twice in that time and we were glad we had it. The service we recieved was efficient, reasuring and comforting removing a lot of the worry of being stranded abroad.

We have an annual Red Pennant subscription which allows us to go outside the UK without having to organise cover each time. This year we have travelled widely but have not needed to call on the services so we cannot comment on the specifics of a breakdown.
