In February 2024, I tried to buy a Vauxhall Combo Life (NL20RXU) from Cargiant to transport my small-scale sports footwear collection to Portobello Road Market — a business I planned for 3 years as a new immigrant in the UK.
They represented that optional products (Supagard and extended warranty) could be added without extra cost beyond the £11,227.05 finance. After Lloyds paid them on 26 February, I immediately cancelled and provided bank details multiple times (24 Feb, 4 Mar, 28 Mar). No confirmation or refund ever came.
When I attended to collect, reception staff were dismissive and barely looked at me, making me feel like I had done something wrong. I left without the car after paying DVLA tax and annual insurance in good faith — all wasted.
This caused huge distress, lost business opportunities (couldn’t secure market stall or sell regularly), wasted time/money, and a lasting sense of injustice. A £100 “goodwill” payment later did nothing to resolve it.
Cargiant - stop misleading customers about costs, communicate properly on refunds, train staff to treat people with respect, and honour cancellations promptly.

Car giant representative Stephen Nicholas was exceptional from first point of contact to showcase, test drive and talking through the purchase and aftercare process. His knowledge on various vehicles and my choice of car, gave me confidence to go ahead with the purchase. Stephen is warm and welcoming, with great customer service and his friendly chatter was the extra bonus.

My time at Car Giant was fantastic, thanks to our salesman, William. He ensured we thoroughly explored vehicles within my price range and encouraged us to take our time before deciding. I never felt pressured to buy. Truly an excellent salesperson.

Noah was absolutely fantastic throughout the whole process. I was debating between three different models (and changed my mind more than once!), and he was incredibly patient and understanding the entire time. He never rushed me or made me feel pressured. He answered all of my questions thoroughly and made sure I felt comfortable and confident in my decision. Really appreciated his calm, professional approach — highly recommend!

Car giant has a great selection of cars and they seem like good quality cars. Stephen Boulter was lovely, he was really friendly and professional he answered all questions and showed the cars without hovering or pushing you into a sale. The process was super easy, professional and quick.

As soon as we arrived we were welcomed by helpful staff who directed us to the type of car we were looking for. We were served by Stephen who went through all the details of the car we decided upon and let us take it for a test drive. Stephen explained to us the other services offered by Cargiant in a 'non-pushy' way (we took out a warranty) and he was helpful in answering any questions we had. The whole process through to driving the car away was straightforward.

My visit felt like a breath of fresh air with the help of Sabin. I was met with friendliness and patience as I came into this experience not having a definite car in mind. Sabin went out of his way to make sure I was happy with each step of the process of buying the car, seeing what deals he could get for me. All in all, I am very pleased with my experience at Car Giant!
