Took a lot of time with us and talked us through planning that saved a shed load of money. The kit was delivered in stages and the surface. I was sceptical regards the timber but can safely it exceeded our expectations and is as they said perfect not one wonky rail or split post. The surface has gone down and we were riding on it the same day! Very happy.

We have been repeat customers of this brand and cannot speak to highly of the products and the expert help we have received on our builds and a surface that is so good we have seen horses improve in every way. Never freezes or floods and easy to contain. Staff always on hand to answer any questions.

Be very careful with this outfit! 8 weeks ago I paid for ‘22 big bags of gtec fibre’
Before I paid, Mark was all over me with all the chat. I paid. Radio silence..
I started wondering where the stuff had got to. Excuses.. our transporter has gone bust, blah blah.
What do I finish up with? 20 round bales of ancient carpet (looked like it had been in a stack for years) that literally stinks enough to blind you. There is no metal in it, a few bits of hard plastic and actually it will be ok. I got my nephew to powerharrow it into the surface this morning and it will be fine. The stink is dying down now!
Don’t expect too much without putting in a lot of graft. Actually, look elsewhere!!!

Please avoid this company! In my opinion they have behaved like absolute crooks and would have stolen my money if they could have gotten away with it.

After several pleasant conversations with Mark Gilbert, we ordered a DIY menage kit. 5 days later my husband was made redundant so I advised the company we were sorry but needed to cancel, as per the 14 day cooling off period / consumer regulations.

I wrote numerous times before Mark responded saying he had received my messages and would pass it on to HQ. Days went by and I didn’t hear anything so I chased this up and received this reply - “We are just waiting on the kit order as that is paid for by us on order and they attempted delivery last week but were told you were on holiday.” Basically after I’d cancelled, they’d attempted to get everything delivered to me asap, as if they thought this would make things difficult for me. This is despite all deliveries supposed to be being arranged with my contractor, who had heard nothing from them. I was still getting calls from delivery companies / subcontractors several weeks after I cancelled, asking when they could deliver. I asked them whether Carpet Gallop had told them we’d cancelled and they said no. By this point, Mark was ignoring emails and calls.

On a couple of occasions, my husband rang them and was promised calls back which never happened. By this point we’d contacted our credit card provider (thank goodness we paid by credit card) who were investigating. They have now confirmed we have won and will get the money back. I see there are a few reviews like this, so beware of these despicable people. I have no idea what they thought would happen, but my opinion is they thought they would try to get away with the theft of 8.5k.

We had a canter track put in end of October using Carpet Gallop and I can't thank them enough. The whole experience was just brilliant and their customer service was great and they answered any questions we had. The surface has been absolutely fantastic even in the -8 conditions we had for 10 days it didn't once freeze and we were able to ride on the track any time of the day during the cold spell which was amazing when trying to keep our event horses fit! I would highly recommend Carpet Gallop.

Just wanted to thank you for your fabulous surface I’ve been able to use it everyday and we’ve had frost to -10 !! It has stayed soft and usable !! It was also brilliant during the extremely hot summer and didn’t get deep or dusty !!! 👍

We are 4 years in with our carpet gallop surface and this is the first winter we have had such fierce frosts. Our surface has proved invaluable and has not frozen once meaning we can exercise our horses without fear of accident or injury - its a big thumbs up from us - good value for money and exactly what was promised !!

Love my new surface Delivery, was delayed but well worth the wait

Absolutely awful experience with this company. Paid and agreed appropriate transport via a rigid lorry. Then got an email to say can we accommodate an articulated vehicle knowing full well that this was not possible given our access. I asked for an immediate refund only to be told this would take place within 5 working days. Then Mark Gilbert sent me a credit note not a refund which was incorrect as it did not show the payment received. Now not answering calls. Disgusting. Don't use this company unless you want to be scammed.

Avoid at all costs.As stated in another poor review they ask for monies upfront, so quick to take your money and that’s when communication stops, then they totally ghost you, communication is appalling.This is sad as they come over really lovely people, & so helpful. Twice they let me down, costing me, due to machinery brought on site and having to extend the hire, first time they didn't bother to let me know as i had to call them, second time i got a email, but still unable to deliver. I agree with the other reviewer, Staff are well trained to deliver excuses and attitude completely changes when you cancel order due to no delivery and request refund. Still waiting for a refund, even though Mark had agreed it, but still No Refund. Don't payout without having the goods, as in the case of the other reviewer who struggled to get their refund as i am now. Such a sad situation as it doesn't have to be this way. So beware.

Ran into a site issue two days after ordering and asked for refund. Total nightmare—firstly no replies, then latterly every excuse in the book, promises that the money has been transferred, and it never has. Nearly a month on and I have just asked the bank for a chargeback because I’m clearly not getting a refund any other way. Not happy, petrified I won’t get the money back. And I am clearly not the first person this has happened to, either.
ETA They finally refunded after we pestered and pestered.

Have delt with this company 3 times over 3 yrs and cannot rate them highly enough, communication has been brilliant ,the surface which I have used as a stand alone for an old horse to sleep on has been amazing ,doesn't move much ,doesn't blow away ,and doesn't freeze ,and when collecting 1 bag they other day and ended up having trailer issue ,they absolutely went over and above to help us sort the suitation out ,defiantly would recommend them

A great company , very honest and helpful . I read the reviews before hand and was slightly concerned .. BUT non of the negatives on there were what we found . The company we’re more than helpful , the surface is brilliant and we couldn’t recommend them highly enough .

I contacted Carpet gallop in need of a top up for my school. I previously had a flexi-ride surface and have been really happy it over the past 7 years.
I spoke to Mark and he recommended his G-tech surface. I ordered in November and had it delivered by early February.
Some of the reviews on here had worried me. I’d say it’s good value and it is what it is recycled off cuts of carpet. Having had a similar surface I know it’s great in all weather and suits my school as it’s soaks up any water that may sit on the sand surface underneath

We absolutely love our canter Hill track with the gtech combi carpet gallop surface. The company were very helpful when ordering and half the price of other suppliers. We did have a problem with not enough surface being delivered but the customer service team acknowledged this straight away and sorted it out for us. Mark himself even came out to make sure what they were sending would definitely be enough and gave us some helpful drainage advice whilst here (and 🤞 even in flash floods surface has not washed down a very steep hill!). Yes there were some bits of rubbish left in there which we picked out and ran a magnet over but for the price of the surface I'm not sure what people expect from a waste product. And yes the recycled carpet base does smell so if this will bother you don't get that. The track was finished in the summer and we are pleased to say that even in the recent frosts the surface is still the same and has plenty of give to still work over. Overall very pleased with the result thank you carpet gallop.

Highly recommend
I recently purchased a gtec surface from carpet gallop, it’s wonderful !! The horses love it !! What ever the weather the surface is lovely to ride on, from dressage horses, show jumpers and just broken young stock, they all work very well on my carpet gallop gtec surface.
Mark and his team at Carpet Gallop, I found to be very knowledgeable, approachable and wanting the best for their customers and Carpet Gallop grounds work team are lovely, punctual, clean and tidy and respectful of providing a top quality surface and service. We had a slight delay in the delivery of my surface, due to the UK HGV driver shortage, Mark informed me daily on the progress of my delivery and went the extra miles to make sure he found a reliable Hgv company to get me my Menage surface quickly, as he had been let down by the haulier. Thank you Mark and team at Carpet Gallop.

Carpet Gallops staff are the most helpful and lovely people. The many questions and enquiries we had for them, they never failed to answer back with detailed and informative answers and always make sure they made the best effort to help in any way they could. We have chatted to them on the phone a few times now and they could not have been more helpful and friendly.
We got they Gtech Combi surface. They were super at informing us when the loads should be delivered so we had enough time to arrange the unloading and spreading etc which was amazing. The bags were full to the top with a brilliant quality surface! Both layers were rolled once they were spread.
What a surface!! I cannot believe the difference it has made for safety of riders and comfort for the horses. I ride 4 horses on it everyday and it hasnt needed any more maintenance since it was laid first which is brilliant. The horses are all so relaxed and comfortable on it especially as one suffers with a splint and he has never been in better form since we got the new surface. And I feel so much safer as a rider on it.
I am absolutely delighted with the service Carpet Gallop have provided to us and I would recommend highly to anyone looking to resurface an arena or starting fresh to go with Carpet Gallop. They are always there to give any advice and guide you on which of their surfaces is the best fit for you!

Excellent Service, Staff were extremely helpful and flexible as I was having difficulties with accepting deliveries on suggested days but they were extremely accommodating. My GTECH surface is amazing and my horses love it!!!
