I ordered plates and paid an extra £9.99 for express delivery, they still haven’t arrived 3 days later. I have emailed them and had no reply. I am absolutely disgusted with the service. It’s a disgrace they charge so much for delivery and it comes as standard. I have had to take time off work as I can not drive my car. I will be disputing the transaction.

Garbage. Don’t use.
How hard can it be for these cretins to get it right.

We ordered plates for our vehicle believing them to be legit. The car has been undercover since having the plates fitted and is only taken out at weekends. We have now noticed a lot of air bubbles under the plate and upon further examination it has transpired that the number plate is in fact just a poorly made sticker stuck on a bit of plastic. Obviously these do not conform to trading standards and I will therefore be contacting them to report this.

Have complained to the company via email but my messages have been ignored. AVOID this company at all costs and don't waste your money on this bunch of amateur cowboys who offer absolutely no customer service whatsoever. Very unprofessional indeed.

Awful awful awful site says the plates are road legal even shows when ordering the legal plates but once arrived are show only do not have the correct DVLA markings

A disingenuous service and completely pointless ordering from them. Selling plates that cannot be used then retreating behind small print and ambiguity on their drop down website options. Avoid and purchase from a reputable and trustworthy retailer instead.

I ordered front and back standard Legal Plates. I entered the registration with the correct space. I received exactly what I ordered, the plates have the correct legal markings and spaces.

From reading previous reviews I suggest you check you have selected Legal plates (not show plates) and type the reg with the correct spacing.

For me this was a good experience, I previously bought plates from a highstreet shop but the front had a nasty air bubble. These plates are fine.

Paid additional delivery fee for next working day delivery, didn't happen. Front plate is of poor quality, some stray material embedded in the plate, NOT attractive.
I will update this review in a couple of weeks if any positive action is taken. I have already sent an email requesting an explanation, no reply so far.

Avoid this site would be my advice, from my experience.

Do not order from this company. Trading under different names with different emails. Ordered plates, paid an extra £9.99 for next day guaranteed before 1pm. Emailed multiple times and tried to call, no answer. Now the bank are refunding the money. Absolute shambles.

Very disappointed - I ordered the plate and it arrived. Found out that the plate was not legal standard. I had no idea until that point that a plate has to have particular standard to be legal. There is an option on Car Plates website to order "show" or "legal" if pressing "show" it should highlight that this is not legal. Care Plate had absolutely no empathy to a genuine mistake. Would not recommend due to extremely poor customer service.

Appalling customer service. Won’t deliver to the Isle of Wight but didn’t tell me. They actually emailed to say my order had despatched. I only found out it wasn’t sent when I chased my order. No apology. Didn’t care. Don’t buy from this company. There are many better companies

Wanted 3D fully legal plates. What arrived were illegal - no bs number or company info on as is needed. When initially contacted told it was my fault (even though sent screenshots of order process and I had done everything correct as per the options) then stopped responding, waste of time and money. Trading Standards looking into.

Late delivery, plates sent are completely illegal, the spacing is not correct for the uk with no bsa number nor company name on them. Cannot contact them by phone or email, seems to be two different companies. Had to buy new ones from a reputable company. Do not buy from these cowboys.

Thankfully I paid through PayPal.

This is a weird one as clearly this company is the same company as Premier Plates who I used for another set of plates and got them straight away. If you look at both websites of Car Plates Direct and Premier Plates they are identical using the same servers and under Blue Media Limited. But that besides the point.

i ordered a set of plates on Thursday 6th April which was before Good Friday so I knew it was going to be after the bank holiday. So assuming they were going to be sent out Tuesday 1st Class, it's now Thursday. I did email them (twice) asking for an update and nothing in return. Ironically their sister company with the other set of plates sent me a confirmation of delivery and got the plates few hours later.
I will now need to go and try and find a set of plates as the number has gone off my car and I can't drive it as it's not technically taxed, MOT'ed or Insured as it's reverted back to it's original plate (the one I have been waiting for).
So these two companies appear to be a bit Jekyll & Hyde. One good, one not so good despite them being the same entity!
If you do call the number all it does say is email them so I did and still nothing! I have sort of given up waiting and will have to find a place that can make plates on the spot so I can at least move the car. As I paid with Paypal I do have some protection. Might be a one-off case but at least have the courtesy to email or call back!

Customer service is appalling! I emailed them to ask for a refund on the delivery as I ordered next day delivery on the Sunday and by the Thursday morning at 11am I still has not received the plates (they were due on Tuesday). The plates then arrived 20 minutes later and I got an extremely rude email back from them saying “delivered today”. No hello, good morning etc just incredible rude. This was already 2 days late and there was no apology. Will not be recommending to anyone.

Ordered front and rear plates with red boarder line. Arrived 1 week later. After receiving the plates, only the rear plate had the red boarder line. Also, no fitting equipment included. They informed me a replacement will be sent. Still waiting. Do not recommend.
