Extremely disappointed with this…
Extremely disappointed with this internet company. They advertise fast and reliable service, but that’s definitely not what we’ve received. For over three months now, we’ve had nothing but issues—slow speeds, dropped connections, and overall unreliable service.
We’ve called multiple times, and every time we’re met with the same scripted responses and empty promises. Two technicians have come out, but nothing has been fixed. We were even sent a new modem and router, but it made no difference. We’re still stuck with the same problems and no real progress.
We’re now looking to switch providers because reliable internet just isn’t something this company can offer. It might seem like an affordable option at first, but the constant issues and lack of real support make it more frustrating than it’s worth. Sometimes paying a little more is worth it just to have peace of mind and a service that actually works.
The worse ever
The worse ever. Seriously. Bills two months in advance, I cancelled, they refunded and then failed to refund the rest of my service. Now waiting for over 160$ in refunds including my modem deposit. Had to call my bank and see what was up, now have to call CaryTel custom service. If you want to leave they push you hard to stay with invasive tactics. I paid for 1,000/30 service and never got higher than got 60/10. Service is absolutely horrid.
They also keep trying to call me several times a week to dispute my review. If 0 star was an option, I'd adjust it.
They'll also sell your information. I have a phone number specifically for my internet service and ever since leaving CaryTel I've received massive amounts of spam calls; literally over 20 a week.
Horrible service
Horrible service, I pay on time every month, and for being a good customer, let me tell you what I get, nothing, service on and off all they are good at is taking the money and providing the worst possible service ever.
Looking for a new provider this month. Fed up
Big Scam
Big Scam! Last month, they increased the taxes on my bill to 20%, and now I’ve received an email saying my rate will increase as of March! I will be canceling my services.
Poor service and almost illegal tactics...
My experience with this company was extremely disappointing. They offer an enticing deal with a low price for the first three months, but problems start as soon as you subscribe. They sell you the modem instead of renting it, and once the modem arrives and you set it up, they immediately send you the first invoice without prior notice. Theybcharge youb3 monthsnworth in the first invoice maing extreme sticker shock Worse yet, they save your credit card information without your consent and automatically withdraw funds. Then they increase the price mine went up a crazy 25%.
Their service goes down frequentlyband they have zero after hour support. When youbdo get abhold pf them it can take swveral days to weeks for the problem to be resolved.
Their customer service is very poor and unreliable. If you try to discuss or dispute anything, they might simply hang up on you. The management is uncooperative, and they seem uninterested in resolving customer issues.
I strongly advise everyone to avoid this company. Their practices are unprofessional and borderline fraudulent."

I experienced good customer services…
I experienced good customer services with swift response and courteous manner to handle issues. They make sure customers expectations are met and leave with satisfactory experience.
Poor Service, Unqualified Support, and Lack of Accountability
My experience with Carry Telecom has been nothing short of frustrating. Their network blocks important applications, and I had to do all the troubleshooting myself because their team is unqualified and inattentive. They only started taking my complaint seriously after I filed a complaint with CCTS.
Even then, their response was disappointing. They offered me a $100 credit to resolve the issue, which I initially accepted. However, when I asked them to increase it to $110 to cover two months of my subscription, they refused. It’s shocking that they cared more about saving $10 than about properly satisfying a very disappointed customer.
To make matters worse, they connected my service a full week late after the agreed installation date, and I had to follow up daily. I eventually discovered by accident that the service was finally connected.
If you’re looking for reliable service and customer support, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. Carry Telecom only seems to care about closing tickets and cutting corners, not about actually helping customers.
Excellent customer service from…
Excellent customer service from CarryTel.!
I got a company laptop and need to setup VPN for it at home, but it didn't connect. This is a problem of rare difficult since it was not caused by CarryTel network nor my home router configuration, nor device defects. With the help of CarryTel staff, the problem is quickly pinpointed and a solution found.
The CarryTel technical personal (Steve) is nice and helpful, very knowledgeable and professional to get the problem solved. I am very happy with the result and really grateful for the effort you've made.
Thanks.
Their service was not only the worst…
Their service was not only the worst service I've used ever but also it is highway robbery. The disconnections that have been happening was not the main issue. The main issue was they are charging the customers for any reason they can find such as the scratches on the routers. They give their routers to customer first of their contract and get deposit for them and at the end of contract they will bring excuses such as scratches on the routers and will charge you 60$.
Even the one star is too high for you.
In this case my new internet service…
In this case my new internet service was one almost instantly after techsavvy disconnected their service and I got follow up emails and phone calls from Carrytel regarding my service transfer. Nowadays, when the concept of service is almost non existent in the service industry I consider this level of service is excellent.
Excellent service
Harlan gave me excellent service. He was very patient with me. Excellent all the way.
You get what you pay for - Garbage
Cheap internet and cheap company.
They offer Crave for $7.99 but you can't access the website or on-demand service so I'm not sure how legal that is. They also hold onto your money until you return their cheap equipment. Modem is about as basic as you can get and you need a router. They only offer a cheap router too. Cuts out daily all the time. Completely unreliable. It's my fault for getting it as it was cheap but it's definitely what you pay for. If you work from home, then you can't use this at all.
Service is unreliable. Avoid it.
Service is unreliable and any issues are going thru Rogers. I had service cuts almost weekly. Had to call and wait a lot.
I would avoid them.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. They literally don’t know what they’re doing. Waited a week after the technician came just for the wifi to be ACTIVATED from their end, and still waiting for someone to get back to me about it. Everyday I have called multiples times, talked to both tech and sales teams. All they kept saying was we’ve “escalated it” and that they can’t do anything else because they’re a third party Internet provider. Asked to talk to a manager but apparently “they’ll say the same thing”. Absolutely useless service!
Avoid Carrytel: A Nightmare Experience for Loyal Customersin
If you’re in the market for a new internet provider, I strongly advise you to steer clear of Carrytel. Our experience with them has been nothing short of a nightmare.
We were loyal Carrytel customers for four years, paying $62 per month for a mere 100 Mbps. Recently, I found out that all my referrals were getting a far better deal—$39 for 1000 Mbps. That’s right, while I was stuck with a slow and overpriced plan, my referrals enjoyed blazing fast speeds for a fraction of the cost. Talk about a slap in the face for being a loyal customer!
Naturally, I called Carrytel to see if I could upgrade to a higher speed plan. Instead of a straightforward upgrade, they told me I needed to cancel my current plan and reapply for a new one. So, we did just that. My wife applied for the new plan, which clearly stated that her card would only be charged after installation.
On May 24, 2024, a Carrytel sales representative rejected my wife’s application. We assumed that meant no charges would be made. We moved on and found a far superior provider, Start.ca, which offers high-speed fiber internet at an affordable price. Unlike Carrytel’s outdated cable system, which barely delivers 200 Mbps despite their claims of 1000 Mbps, Start.ca provides reliable, high-speed fiber internet.
Imagine our shock when we discovered that Carrytel still charged my wife’s card, despite rejecting her application. To add insult to injury, Carrytel claimed they sent us equipment that needed to be returned, even though no installation ever took place!
This entire ordeal has been incredibly frustrating. Carrytel’s lack of communication, deceptive pricing, and horrendous customer service have left us outraged and regretful of our years of loyalty. Save yourself the headache and avoid Carrytel at all costs.
Sincerely,
A Very Frustrated Former Customer
Beware of their little increases over multiple months!
I was with them for more than 5 years, at first it was cheap, then they'll increase a few bucks on random months until it is about a little lower than other big ISPs. I did not check my electronic bills every month and when I found out, it is already 1.6x than my signed up price! I guess this is what I get for using a Chinese owned telecom That is why now I cancelled my service and will never use them again!
Eye popping price increase
I was fairly happy with them except for rare outages until today when I got an email saying that due to the global economy my monthly charge was increasing by 25%! I can assure you my wages did not go up 25% since I started with them.
Horrible internet and company
If this rating system allowed me to give rating in minus, I would have rated them a minus! I bought the 100MB download speed and somehow, the connection is very poor all day. I do not plan to buy carrytel ever again. New customers, please avoid this if you can, it's a horrible company with very poor internet speed no matter which pack you buy.
I wish I read reviews
I wish I read reviews. Carrytel isn't interested in being a good company.
I think maybe the bank doesn't allow them to take money from my account? Because they wanted to but I have to log into pay bill, but they have horrendous support and creative billing practices and the speed isn't anything I was charged for since I've been testing. Seems like outright fraud to me and after reading the reviews, I can see and experienced they are not interested in being upright with their customers.
