Great service and friendly team.

Great service and friendly team.
Very straight forward and very simple. The sales team were great ,they helped me through the whole process and were really friendly. I was very happy with the deal they gave to me and I came away with a brilliant car!

Visited the garage ...

Visited the garage .... looked at 3 cars .... ready to make a deal and thank god I walked away and not part with my money and now after reading the reviews.... omg.....

The sales man (chris) was boosting about how brillant their garage was..
It wasn't. One the cars I looked at which was a Audi A7 and had been on the forecourt for over 7 weeks. Looked at the car inside and it needed a good clean. I asked to look under the bonnet at the engine and there was aload scrunched up paper and a empty twix wrap stuffed in one side of the engine.

We then looked at a white BMW. Once again dirty and messy inside. Opened the glove box and there was a empty J20 bottle... but to be fair I was advised it would be clean and immaculate if I committed.

Wanted to part ex my car and from the minute he saw my car stsrted to be critical about what problems my car had .... just so he could drive the part ex price down ..... typical bad bad car sale man.

But then was wanting to make a deal when I was clearly not happy with the offer.

Glad I did not make a deal and walked away. Overall bad experience never to be repeated at Cartrix again

ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING

ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING. CLUES IN THE NAME CAR TRIX. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND OR GIVE THESE ANY TIME. Went to find a car after selling mine. Saw a Volvo estate which was high mileage and on at £8750. (Done a recent valuation on the exact car £7700.) Spoke to Jamie and mark. Told them I was selling mine the day after and would need it ready for then. Rang them at 3.45 the next day to confirm my car has sold and we could go ahead. Told “ oh sorry mate we haven’t had time to get it out yet.”. Ok but I need it definitely for tomorrow. Now here’s where more trickery pops in. Rang by Jamie, “ we’ve got your car out and it’s currently being worked on so all good. What price did we agree on.? “ I responded £8500 and already left £50 holding fee. Few mins later Jamie rings back. “ erm, we’ve spoke to the director and he won’t do anything less than £8650. Of course at this stage I’ve refused the car and demanded my £50 back. Still waiting.

Tricks and misinformation from start to finish

Been left without a car.

ABSOLUTELY APPALLING COMPANY AND NOT TO BE TRUSTED IN ANY WAY

CANT GIVE NO STARS OR IT WOULD BE

Terrible experience-out of pocket with nothing to show

So after looking for a BMW X5 for a while I finally found one at Cartrix which I liked the look of and at a decent price so I decided to drive the 3 hour round trip to view and test drive. I had a look around the car and the salesman was honest and pointed out some laquer peel that I didn't notice and said he was getting that sorted, fair enough, I took the car for a drive and all seemed well so I decided for the first time in my life to treat myself to a nice car so I left a deposit and went home. I contacted the salesman later in the week to ask for it to be delivered for which I was made aware there would be a charge but it seemed resonable so I went for that to save me the trip back. Thank god I did. I had a call asking if they could deliver the car early as it had all been sorted and inspected and they had another delivery in my area which I was more than happy to accept  unfortunately that's where things went wrong. The car turned up at 9:30 at night and the driver informed me that the engine management light was on, so not a great start. Stupidly, I accepted delivery, swapped my insurance and taxed it and in my excitement I wanted to take it for a spin, only to find out there is not only the engine light on but the service light and more annoyingly the fuel light saying there was 27 miles left so I headed straight to the petrol station. Luckily I only put £40 in as on the way home I tried to pull onto a roundabout and there was no power at all. This continued intermittently all the way home so obviously by the time I got home I was pretty frustrated. The next morning and no longer insured on my previous car, I had to drive this one to work and in the light of day realised the car was dirty inside and out and obviously hadn't been cleaned before being sent out, not a big deal but for £9000 you would expect a quick valet at least anyway. I drove to work and stopped at a friends as I knew he had a code reader which pulled up 2 faults, one for the MAF sensor which I was told had been changed and one for an EGR valve. I am no mechanic but I know any EGR issues are normally expensive so I contacted Cartrix that morning explaining what had happened and in their defence they were very apologetic and said they would collect the car, repair it and get it back to me as soon as possible. I declined this and asked if I could just send the car back for a refund as at this point, having only owned the vehicle for a matter of hours, it was already causing me hassle and combined with all the other little things it had not been a good experience. I was told if I wanted a refund I would have to deliver the car back to them as they would not collect it, even though they delivered it broken which I knew wasn't correct. After a lot of emails back and forth and arguing over a couple of days and me speaking to Citizens Advice to make sure I was within my rights to have them collect, they finally picked it up almost a week later. Luckily I still had my old car to use and I have had my refund back but I'm now out of pocket roughly £250 after the admin fee, delivery fee, fuel, insurance and tax with absolutely nothing to show for it. All in all it was a pretty horrible experience for me and I am just glad it is now over. Hopefully for other buyers this was a one off case for Cartrix but I will not be using them again.
