Cash My Fone is a mobile phone recycling company that’s a cut above the rest. We’ve 10 years industry experience, and as well as being professional, we’re friendly and personal. That’s important to us. As is the environment. We send the working phones we receive to countries in Africa, the Far East and eastern Europe, where they are reused. This helps the environment and gives people all over the world access to mobile phone technology. We take the useful parts of the mobile phones we receive that are no longer in working order and recycle these components. Above all, we care about our customers. That’s why we’ve made our mobile phone recycling process speedy and straightforward. We don’t leave you hanging around waiting for payment long after you’ve sent your handsets to us & we simply can’t be beaten on price. That’s our guarantee to you. If you find a better price somewhere else, we want to hear about it.

Brutal
Offer you a price, then knock money off your offer once they get your phone despite the phone being in excellent condition. I sent the phone to them the end of feb and still not received the money on march 13th.
Quick payment reliable
This company its not bad and they pay you quickly but there one thing I noticed that the quoted price for your phone is not the actual amount that u get , They will reverse it down to percentage or something and give you a bit lower price than the price noted on the site so keep in mind but apart from that its a quick payment !
More hassle then worth..
Too many companys in competition with each other now days meaning lower quotes/stricter quality control. My quote was cut by 50% for a small scratch on the handset.
Poor service
35% was knocked of the price for a really insignificant thing, and It was hard to contact them about it, usually I send my phones to mazuma mobile and never had a problem before
Great customer satisfaction.
I was originally offered £71 for my blackberry on their website l, web they received it they reduced this price to £35 due to scratches on the phone. Not happy with the price so I asked for my phone be sent back. After a phone call and me explaining I've been offered £68 they revised their offer of £35 and matched my £68 offer. Extremely happy customer. Great customer service and satisfaction.
Excellent Service
If I had any issues I could email Cash My Fone and would receive a response in reasonable time. However their terms and conditions need to be clearer as my quote was reduced by 10% due to having minor scratches, something they said was acceptable within their terms and conditions. However we compromised on the price although it wasn't the original £25 all in all though a slick and organised service.
RUBBISH
I'll NEVER use your godawful company again, at every stage you tried to chisel down the amount you were due me, and I knew damn fine there was nothing wrong with the phone, I'll make sure and tell everyone I know NOT to use you. I hope your company burns and closes.
Terrible
Sent my iPhone 2 weeks ago special delivery in as new condition no payment 2 weeks later called today to see what was happening. They told me they were busy and they have only just got to it now and offered 200 pounds instead of 240 for badly scratched front and rear which is wasn't. This was just to cover the value it lost over the 2 weeks it had been with them. Wouldn't recommend to nobody enviro phone all the way. NEVER AGAIN !
Very disappointed with CashMyPhone
I was offered what I thought to be a good deal for my old blackberry bold 9780; £80. However, after having not received my money for a month and a half I emailed them asking where my money was. They then replied saying the price has been revised down to £40 due to minor "LCD spots", which almost all second hand phones have by the way. I then phoned them and tried to receive my mobile back to which they told me it had been too long and it had already been recylced! It was them who didn't even contact me to tell me they had received my phone! So not only did I receive half the money I was told I'd get buta month and a half late. Would strongly advise to go to a different company. The only reason this is not 1 star is due to the friendly woman on the phone who convinced her manager to bump it up to £50.
Not bad but had to persist with them to get what was offered.
A good offer made, sent it in ASAP they responded quickly that the phone had faults and wanted to knock off 10% they wanted a response quickly which I did, it took them days to respond and chase up emails. This was a pain! I disputed their claim ( I reckon they try to knock off 10% off a lot of phones they receive) the phone was immaculate (clear protective screen cover and in a case since I got it) I argued the point and they have honoured the full price. however I have not received the full price in my bank account. I am chasing this up.
I have recycled phones before and this is the most hassle I've had. I will look elsewhere before using this company again.
never believe the price offered
Accepting an offer is a bit like extra time in a football match. You can always expect 2 minutes extra time, well you will never get the price offered they will start with -15% but you will get get 10%. So if you are prepared to accept 10-15% less than the initial offered then they are fine. My reccomendation would be to go to a more reputable company.
They never pay the full price quoted regardless of condition.
I sent my samsung galaxy s2 to cash my fone and it took nearly 2 weeks to get to them via the freepost but when it did arrive they emailed me saying they were downgrading my price by 15% i asked them why as the website says it accepts general wear and tear and the phone looked like practically new as it had a new screen 3 months ago and a new back yet they told me it had been downgraded due to scratched screen, dents and scratched back so i dont know who checked the phone over but i did before i sent it and it seems to me that whoever it was got a bit creative for the companys benefit now im not sure how often this happens but i was not happy about this obviously but due to financial issues i had no choice but to accept the new offer so overall would not use them again.
would not use or recommend again
policy is post your phone and receive payment within 48 hours. Had to email after 7 days another 7 days to get reply then was told phone was badly scratched and dented. Not when I posted the phone it wasn't . So all in all had to wait 22 days for payment. Very unacceptable :-(
Does what it says
Quick assessment, which meant quick payment. I won't hesitate to use this company again.
Good Service
Sold my sons broken Blackberry Touch, got £40, Vodafonebuyback.co.uk offered me £12. So we were very happy with this price
GOOD BUT DON'T ASSUME YOU WILL GET THE PRICE ORIGINALLY OFFERED
I used a comparison site and chose Cash My Fone as they offered the highest price for my old mobile that being £25.00 which I was very happy with. I posted the phone using their Freepost address which took a little longer than normal. They emailed to say that they hadn't received my phone which I was impressed with which alerted me to the delay.
They then emailed to say they had the phone and after checking it they were unable to offer the full price due to scratches and therefore were reducing the offer by 15%. I must say I was still happy with the price however I don't believe that my phone had that many faults. I believe it had a very small scratch to the screen, top and bottom but that was it. However now they have the phone there is little which can be done. I emailed and asked for details of the faults found and was given a lengthy list of scratches that I don't believe exist. Either they look at the phone under a microscope or it was not my phone they were looking at.
I would recommend this company but would say don't bank on getting the amount they have offered as they can say anything when once they have the phone.
Reduced my one X by 15%
they received my phone and then advised me due to a scratch on the screen and a mark on the body that they were reducing my amount by 15%, called them up and the adviser said he would check the phone himself, yes there was a very small mark on the body, but not a scratch on the screen. He said he would call back @ 4pm, never did, i keep calling from 4.30pm and no answer. i finally got though the following morning and he advised me there was no scratch but due to the mark on the body, the best he could do was 10%, which i reluctantly accepted, but not very happy, as it was very minor and the phone is used, but i would say excellent condition. wont use them again.
Liars, Liars, Liars
I sent off 2 iPhone 4's in as new condition and was quoted £278.00 for the pair.
Both phones were in perfect condition, had spent their life in a case and before I sent them, I had to remove the screen protector and the original apple rear plastic protective sheet, I can not stress how immacualte thease phones were!, i sent them individualy wrapped in bubble wrap and in a jiffy bag, by special delivery (Which cost me over £7.00), to be told both phones were badly scratched and cosmeticaly damaged and the price was reduced to £250.20 for the pair!, I rang the customer service people and was told that I could open an investigation, but that could take weeks, I will never use Cash My Fone again, And if i was ever going to sell any future phones, I would double check that the possible future company was not a subsidery of Cash My Fone either!
