basically we were robbed by them, i have spent more than 5k there in the last year, my wife ordered online tiles in hundreds of euros and some mosquito nets from the marseilles store, they were ment to be delivered. i got the mosquito blinds part of the order. but they fiddled the delivery to say they had sent the tiles too, it wasnt on the espace client delivery docket. so i drove to the aix store (nearest to me) to ask for a refund or the tiles. they were friendly but said they couldnt do a thing. so im left to proceed the legal route... great customer service castorama! your staff scamming customers and you the so called managment making no way of recourse to question the wronged clients.

We bought composite decking from Castorama in France and installed them according to the requirements.
The decking lasted about 2 years when it started warping and breaking in lenth.
We contacted Castorama and were told that they will start a claim with head office, we waited.
We have restarted the claim again and was told now that it's to late to claim anything as the original claim was never logged by the Castorama representative, now they don't want to do anything even though the original claim was started inside the warranty time.
We are very dissatisfied, we bought everything fron Castorama Valence as they provided us with the best advice. We are about €5,000.00 out of pocket and we now have to rip it all up and put concrete down.
Order a electric towel rail which never arrived,contacted customer services,a representative phoned for mote details a agreed to call back in 30 mins, that was 5 days ago, now they have stopped rpling to my emails, awful service.
No complaints when buying nuts and bolts, building materials etc. My 1st shock came when I had bought a hedge trimmer, circ 350zl. 3 months later, trimming a boxwood shrub, my daughter reported the main button falling off. Taking it back to C. Bydgoszcz, I'd expected a straight exchange or refund, as you would get in Home Depot USA. Not here. The Cx clerk was in no mood to do that. Nor to apologize. Instead he accused me of breaking it myself by using it incorrectly. Then said he would send it to their lab to examine if its a warranty repair or not.!! Gave forms to fill out galore, and told me it would take 6 weeks, during which I get neither money nor the tool. No2. 2 months ago I had bought a kitchen bin. Last week, the spring loaded lid had flung open and would not shut. Noticed a minute and flimsy piece of plastic holding it in place broke. It looked obviously underdesigned. Now I need to put a weight on it, making it imposible to operate with one hand. Knowing their refund process I wont be returning it to C.. Lost some 160zl.

Nobody present at collection building . Went to other
collection building where person on duty could not help.
Went back to store and complained . Lady phoned
someone and said there was someone available.
Went back; nobody there. After some time a man came
on a machine ,apparently to move some items . Approached him and asked if he could open up and
get our items, which he did. All this took over half an
hour at least in a downpour of rain.Attitude of staff

09-02-2022 Order placed and paid for in the Angouleme France Store. The order value was a three figure sum in Euros.
16-02-2022 Delivery expected but did not arrive.
14-03-2022 Delivery expected but did not arrive
17-03-2022 Castorama email received confirming cancellation of order and for notification of reimbursement
17-03-2022 Castorama website showed item ordered to be out of stock. Was it out of stock at time of order?
Subsequent to many telephone calls and email requests to confirm by email date of reimbursement none was provided.
05-04-2022 Travelled 34 km to Castorama and went to the After Sales counter. Advised that this was an internet order therefore they could not help. Also they had no record of the cancellation. Despite our explanation that the goods were in fact ordered and paid for in this store, and presentation of their email confirming the cancellation, we were refused further assistance. We were provided with a telephone number to contact. Having gone through the same procedure and read their confirmatory email it was agreed that the refund would be paid within 24/48 hours.
08-04-2022 Refund received. TWO MONTHS.

Absolutelly poor experience. Cashier at 19:20 bialystok and kitchen dep a week ago. No sales skills at all.
This is the first time I have ordered from Castorama although I have shopped at their store many times. With free delivery for my items, it was an obvious decision during the pandemic. I first had an email to say that one item was out of stock but then they called to say they had managed to get it. Another call to arrange delivery from helpful, patient and friendly staff. I usually prefer communication by email as I sometimes struggle to understand french on the phone but this is a personal preference. Items arrived a couple of days later, on time. Friendly and helpful driver. Brilliant service and will definitely use again.

We purchased a bath..no feet ..they promised the feet April12..when we arrived to collect the feet..paid for since March.
No delivery until June .
The bath was in our new bathroom..the plumber has fitted the pipes ready...
They insist we bring back the bath for a refund...my husband is 76 and I have cancer of the bones.
No bath ..no refund...so we paid a friend to help us descend the bath ,..and my husband is returning it..in the pandemic.

Appalling. Listen to the reviews, like I should have, and avoid! Over 6 weeks to get a portion of my kitchen delivered to store. I was promised it would be delivered to my home, but then I had to pay extra to get it delivered to home. Got another delivery a few weeks later and am still short of parts. Wrong doors delivered also! The customer service manager totally sided with the staff member. Have now emailed asking to speak with store manager. Dont ignore the reviews like I did. They are shockingly bad.
Order on-line, value approx Euro 2,000 but some items 'not in stock', so the system reduced my order to those items that were 'available'
Order value now approx Euro 1,100
Recieved a confirmation e-mail that detailed (1) items that were to be collected and (2) items that would be delivered
Booked a time slot with the store in Agen to collect and recieved an e-mail confirming the appointment
Spent money arranging for someone with a van to collect on my behalf
Driver turned up at the store.....no goods! WHAT?
Yes, sorry but we do not have the goods we said we had. In store they said (1) we can order the goods for you but were unable to say when they would be available and (2) they could cancell the entire order - which is what I requested
Driver came back and said in fact, I had to go on-line to cancell the order, which I did. There was an on screen 'standard' message saying it would be 10-20 days before a refund would be made!!! Best practice is for an auto confirmation e-mail to be sent but.....I have recieved no such e-mail
CONCLUSIONS
1. Castorama are fraudulently taking money for goods they do not have to sell
2. Castorama system of management is not fit for purpose, in this instance they (1) took my money knowing there were goods (2) knew there were no goods to be collected but did not advise causing me an aborted trip to the store (3) staff lied that they had been trying to contact me during the day (the phone records and e-mail clearly show no such thing)
I can only conclude that the senior managers are aware of this type of event and are thus acting in a fraudelent manner

Ordered an item, showed 11 in stock, paid, had to pick up, due to covid had to make an appointment (precise slots of 15 mins), appointment and availability confirmed again by them. Arrived on time, to be told: too bad, item is not in stock, their error, nothing they can do. No offer to send items to me or else. never again!!
Useless, put things up as available online only to then tell you it's broken once you've paid for it. Bunch of clowns

Apparently part of the British Kingfisher Group but much better. More tools, better choice of DIY equipment, chemicals etc that aren't sold in Homebase, B&Q, Toolstation, Screwfix, Selco and the rest. An eye opener. Highly recommend. They have soft furnishing too. NOTE: The position pin on Google is incorrect. It's just inside LES QUATRE TEMPS through the doors on the left at the east entrance.

As i have read on the web site of Castorama -that Castorama is part of the international Kingfisher Company specializing in products for home improvement and repair - therefore I am writing this review to Your address.
In one of shopping centers in Moscow called Castorama - there was a conflict on Sunday, May, 22, 2017, with the consultant of department "Light", while I was in this shop with my family: here is the description of what happened:
I was with family, my husband and child in the store on Prospekt Mira, the shopping center Golden Babylon. In the Department of "Light", to buy energy-saving lamps. In the aisle between the display cases was the consultant of the Department of light and two women - the buyers, the consultant was kindly asked to move one step aside in order to come to the shelve of the department with the lights, the consultant did not wish to respond, we came from the other side of the aisle, also kindly asked to move in order to approach the shelve with lamps, there was a place where to move, there was no reaction so as not to offend anyone we passed with the pram and the baby after kind response again to consultant to move one step aside. The answer was a rude response," Wait", we went with the baby stroller, slightly - just slightly touching the shoe of a consultant who refused to move just one step when we politely asked twice, in the answer have heard obscene language from consultant, cursing and swearing from her and the two customers. They shouted - the consultant with customers thatthey were hurt, even though we just passed in the aisle with a stroller, very carefully. Then happened out of the ordinary: a customer - called the two men who jumped on the BACK of my husband - made a strong numerous blows to the head and hit the legs , at the request of three women - one of them is consultant of Castorama, which was screaming that she was hurt, there was a child in a pram, the child was frightened and cried, This whole situation the security of the store Castorama - on the territory of which in light department -the incident took place- did not react at all when I managed to calm the men -consultant of Castorama continued conflict.
Further, the buyers, we the attackers fled, the staff - Manager, light Castorama reported that the police were called, the Police arrived, Said in words - that went to watch security cameras from their security service. We asked the security service of store Golden Babylon. They could not contact the employees of Castorama And When they managed to contact them - store employees are covering and protecting their consultants that showed rude and disgusting attitude to us as customers, blatantly lying to security store Golden Babylon, announced that the conflict has occurred not on their territory, which they rent, but out of their rent territory. and that there are no cameras they have in the Department store in the light at all. Although they said that he went to watch them.
Security despite the fact that my husband felt ill, did nothing, explaining that they does not have the right to leave the post,
In the end, the Manager of the light Department of Castorama, reported that they called the police – more than one hour passed and no police came. The attackers fled the shopping center.
The store Manager of Castorama even brought no apologies but still tried to accuse us.
My husband was beaten in daylight, in the store Castorama, two witnesses, employees of Castorama remained indifferent to this conflict, concealed the true information upon request from the security of the shopping center Golden Babylon.
Please respond asap to this appeal, and either punish the Manager of the light department and of the senior Manager of light department Or bring compensation for the inconvenience-from the store Castorama, official address: Russia, Moscow, Prospect Mira, 211, shopping center Golden Babylon (=Zolotoy Vavilon).
Since this attitude to customers from customers is unacceptable.
As we previously always made shopping in this store, but after this accident, I can only give very very negative response to the staff of Castorama to everyone, as the consultants are rude and do not show interest when customers are attacked and when they lie and accuse people of what never happened.
