Unbelievably efficient moving. Booked a truck for 2 pm onwards slot. They arrived not long after 2pm and had the whole job done in around 2 hours. The job involved moving some very heavy items and included 2 drop offs. After my last similar removal with A DIFFERENT COMPANY took over 7 hours with 3 men basically wasting time and causing damage ), I expected the job to be abot 4 hours - 2 hours and no damage was AMAZING

1. Dishonest representation of estimated arrival time. The job I booked was for between 10am-2pm with a preferred time of 12pm. After many phone calls on my part the crew turned up at 6pm. So this meant we were moving my 85 year old mother-in-law with early dementia into her new retirement unit at 8pm at night. Call Centre staff and a Manager I asked to speak to were unmoved and would do nothing to escalate my job just lying further about ETAs of 2pm and 4.30pm and using their often repeated excuse of "mechanical issues". (Look at other reviews and you'll see they use this one alot.)
2. Unexpected extra fees. At time of booking, I advised the second Pickup address in the Hills had a sloping driveway. I was only advised at the end of the move that there would be an additional $80 for the slope. I was told the $130 per hour included all fees and insurance and that there would be no hiddent extras.
3. Lack of professionalism. I was told on booking not to worry about the family antiques as CBD were very experienced and professional movers and I would know them from the logo on the van and on staff tops. The beaten-up van that arrived at 6pm and the two sullen staff members had no logos at all, only air conditioner tech shirts, I guess from their day jobs. So not experienced movers then. No hellos, no introductions or apologies I guess just two over worked and under paid contractors. This made what should have been a big day for my family a distressing and frustrating nightmare. My recommendation DO NOT USE CBD MOVERS. As someone else commented in their review they are money hungry grubs and it is a wonder they are still in business.

Consumer Affairs Victoria, Business Victoria and the ACCC have issued a public warning about Shashi International trading as CBD Movers.

The removalists were on time and did both packing and unpacking. They were very careful with my furniture and goods. They were very efficient at unpacking and were happy to move things if I changed my mind on locations. They were extremely polite, careful and reliable.

Worst experience ever. I had a move booked in the 10am - 2pm session, at 9:30 called and was told that the truck was delayed and they'll call when they're 30 mins out. At 12, I called again, and I'm told that it's delayed and now I'm in the 2pm - 6pm session. They were unable to provide a time where they'll be there so I asked to cancel and refund. It took 30 mins of at first telling them, then having to repeatedly shout "No, I don't want to wait until 3pm, I just want my money back" for them to finally stop threatening me with "not being able to move" and actually go forward with the cancellation. Worst movers ever, I was able then to call Daji moving and book in a move first thing the next day, so I guess the threat of nobody else can move me doesn't really work hey?

The 2 guys did an amazing job transferring my bug items from and to my new place.

My family had the worst moving experience ever with the CBD movers today 21.8.2026. (CBD movers, the art of moving). Please ignore this company at any cost. We spoke with them 4 days ago to get a quote for a house move and requested a big truck as we had a negative experience with them a long time ago. We clearly mentioned that we have a 3-bedroom house and we need to move everything. The truck they sent was only enough for a couch, three beds and a study desk. They left all the white goods, the dining tabletop and everything else. When we called them, the service was very rude, and they were demanding for us to pay for another 2,3 trips. They charged for 5 hours just to dismantle and assemble one bed and the study table and move that three beds and a couch to my new house which was 10-15min away from the other house. We have 2 kids and we could not even save anything for dinner as I had been on the phone for almost 3 hours with them. They all have English names but all of them were Indians, I have never been racist or taking any nations for a service before, but I had enough with any business which operated Indians or Indian workers. Most of the calls had very loud background noise, I am not even sure if they are working in Australia. However, they stopped unloading my belongings when I was on the line and forced me to do the payment even before they finished the job and one of their managers advised that they are going to do a second trip and we can discuss how they can support us. After paying for the first trip only bringing the couch and 3 beds, they said that they are unable to bring the white goods or anything until the next day and we have to pay separately for those trips. After having long phone calls, I had to agree with them to bring only my fridge, washing machine, dryer and the dining tabletop the next day as we would bring everything else in our car with multiple trips. The CBD manager advised that I have to pay 3–4-hour upfront payment for that which was ridiculous. They all are definitely scammers, be very careful with this service when you have communication. One of the workers even does not know what Consumer affairs is, I believe maybe they are not in Australia. One of the driver's even said he started work with them yesterday and he is going to resign from his job tomorrow as every job they did since yesterday got complaints. They have fake reviews on some websites, and this is the second time this has happened to us with them. We didn't even bother to call them the first time as we thought it was a mistake they sent a small truck. But they did it again this time to charge for extra trips. Another worker was at a market or somewhen when I spoke and didn't even understand my questions. This service is definitely a very big scam. Even later I notice their business name is CBD movers owned by "Shashi International" they may be operated from India or another country. I am very frustrated with their service, and I was too late when I noticed that they scammed me. Otherwise, I won't write this long review. I had to throw away most of our food for not having the fridge and pay extra for the dinner. Children were very tired as we had to deal with this for around 5 hours just to bring the couch and 3 beds. We have CCTV footage about what they put into the truck and are going to take legal action and complain to the consumer affairs Australia. Please avoid this service at any cost. I would never ever get any service from Indian's ever again no matter what, this may not be about the Indians, but I definitely had enough with them. They were that bad. Their website review page is not even working properly, probably due to many bad reviews.

These guys are shonky , rip-off merchants.
They were 2.5 hours late on arrival. I prepaid for 4 hours and agreed to pay any difference. 3 men managed to do one load with additional and significant help from us in a 4.5 ton truck with a 5 minute travel time between two houses 5 hours which included them taking a 1 hour and 40 minutes lunch break which was supposed to be 30 mins.
Then they disappeared. Apparently because of the stairs in the new house which was clearly discussed at the time of the booking and paid for.
But they didn't tell us they were quitting. When I called the moving crew they told me they were refueling and just getting coffee and kept lying. It took 2 hours of phone calls to establish they were not coming back and CBD Movers attempted to shake us down to send 2 trucks and 6 men but not until the next day and if we paid thousands of dollars on the spot.
They since try relentlessly to charge an excess fee even though they did 3 hours of 20 minutes of "work" on the pre-paid 4 hours, including $150 additional for stairs which $30 was quoted and paid for.
We had to book another moving company to finish the job and were severely compromised in terms of cost and delays, as a result. Horrible bunch of people running a very dishonest operation. Do not touch with a barge pole. Wish I had read the Victorian Consumer Affairs warning first (look it up. I can't attach a link here).
You should before you contemplate booking with these pieces of work.

the movers did a great job!

Proceedings commenced with relevant bodies. These movers are extremely un-trust worthy, they showed up 6 hours late and did over $10,000 worth of damage to our belongings. Despite showing them on the day, taking photos and being promised and being told we must pay the full amount or insurance wont 'kick in' they tried to deny the incident occurring the next day. After sending a video and receipts of purchased they offered a refund $375, and many attempts to deny liability - we have decided to take legal action.

Worst experience I've ever had in Australia, had them booked at 10am the day of, and they kept advising they were on the way, after plenty of calls it wasn't until 8pm they told me no one was coming and that we could rebook the next day at 7am, the next day still no one came, highly recommend not to choose this company and don't rely on them.
