UPDATE: 13/11/25 our system has been leaking for 4 weeks and CB heating have not sent anyone out to fix it, it seems as soon as you sign off and start paying the customer care stops, Connor at CB heating no longer wants to help.
original review Connor at CB Heating was so helpful when we had a bad experience with our installer, damage was done to our property and furniture and Connor arranged for it to all be repaired and refunded. We requested an installation check over as we were worried it hadn't been done to standard and Connor sent Nadeem out who couldn't have been more helpful. The installation took 3 weeks instead of 5 days so that was stressful.

I wish I had taken the local traders offer and had the job done by the one company. It took the expected time to install the heat pump but an extra 10 days without the shower is unacceptable. The system is in but nobody seems to know how to program it for the best use in my house. I have a malfunction and the local team are nowhere to be seen.
After CB heating reaching out to me from this review, I now have a better understanding of the system. I had a long conversation with Simon from the tech team who went through the system and it's various screens and requirements. There has been a lot of miscommunication and learning on both sides of this project as there were a number if different companies involved. Thanks to Connor for sending me the relevant video to watch and for following up on the faults incurred. Hopefully going forward it will all work as it should and I now know who to contact for help.

The heat pump has struggled to raise temperatures to an acceptable level.

Our Daikin ASHP was installed in January this year. We didn't move into the property until mid-March, so it's still early days in terms of understanding the best settings for our unit. The installation went well, but the handover by the installer was not satisfactory. Then Andy Mumford came to the rescue. I was given his contact details when I called the EDF technical team to ask for help. Andy was very helpful over the phone and then visited yesterday to support with optimal set-up. He is clearly very experienced and answered all my questions. Nothing was too much trouble. Andy adjusted the settings to suit our circumstances and I feel much more confident that our ASHP is now functioning efficiently. Andy also helped me download the Daikin app, where I can manually adjust the water temperature, if needed. Great job!

The whole process from start to finish was very smooth with good communication between ourselves and cbheating.
Ashley and his team who completed the initial survey for the heat pump also installed the heat pump were exceptional.
They worked very hard were very clean and tidy and left the house with as little disruption as possible every evening. They also cleaned up well and took away all the rubbish at the end of the job.
They were polite, respectful and explained everything to us as they went along, nothing was too much trouble. I can’t recommend these guys highly enough.

Cbheating and Ashley contacted us a week after the installation was complete to confirm that everything is working well and answered all my questions in detail in a way I could understand.

the product selection was easy and the pre-work easy to arrange.

Unfortunately, for me, it went a bit down hill from there

The installation was estimated for 5 days (Giving a specific set of dates)

The install team did not attend the full period within the dates and the job went into a second week

This gave 2 issues.

The first was that I had to make arrangements for them to work for additional dates

The second was the property was left without heating for an extended period of time, leaving an vulnerable person without heating for an extended period of time.

The main installation engineer was clearly knowledgeable and experienced, whereas his assistant was a little distracted and not overly productive.

The quality of the product is high, the quality of the installation was a little better than mediocre

My survey was carried out by Sam, I couldn't of hoped for a more friendly and informative person for the job. She was polite and very knowledgeable keeping me informed of what she was doing from start to finish. The major bonus for me was that Sam made friends with my over boisterous English Bull Terrier and accommodated his never ending curiosity and demands for a tickle! Thanks Sam 👌 😊

Had a heat pump installed on 30th of July still cannot get on the heat pump tariff on EDF they keep saying not eligible for the discounted rates Because I paid my deposit before the April 1st cannot speak to anyone keep sending emails I wish I never had the heat pump installed. Also waiting for the sign off documents all the originals lost in the change over.Also the heat pump is leaking water on to the driveway not very happy at the moment

The team of Sylvia (coordination), Nathan (design) and the installation team - Pro solutions. Did an excellent job. The installation was done in the week I needed it to be. Heat pumps are not trivial installations, there were a lot of radiator changes and clarifications and they did things well and happy to respond to my questions and challenges. I would recommend going with established company like them selling trusted manufacturers. e.g. Daikin.

We were in the position where we could afford to change our heating system and to go along with that have solar panels installed which would help with the cost of running the heat pump.
We wanted to go with a company that we felt were going to be here going forward into the future and a household name so we always have the back up if needed.
From first contact everything was done efficiently and with detail, the initial quote was reasonable with an offer of free upgrade to radiators which needed to be changed for the installation. The contractor Stuart Francis Affordable heating came and did the survey and was very informative and professional. CB Heating / EDF Heat pumps provided a detailed document with heat loss figures and requirements of heating capacity of the radiators. There was a delay due to being on a looped electrical supply which is out of the hands of CBH / EDF, this was eventually overcome with approval of the local DNO for retrospective works. I dealt the Stephanie and she was very professional and I felt that she was invested in giving me a great customer experience.
Everything was ordered and as promised all equipment arrived on the first day of installation, which was quiet a lot but was able to store this in the garage until required. Stuart Francis was the installer who turned up early and went through to make sure everything was delivered. The installation took just over a week, but the water tank was prioritised to be able to give us hot water before the heat pump was installed and commissioned. Stuart did an excellent job, giving me regular updates on what the days plan was and what they had achieved at the end of the day. There was a small issue with a relay in the control panel which Stuart was in contact with Ideal about and they came out and changed a card, the Ideal engineer commented on how neat and tidy the installation was, Stuart came back promptly once issue was resolved and did final commissioning of the heat pump and system, and a final thorough walkthrough of the system.
I cannot recommend highly enough EDF Heat pumps and Stuart Francis, extremely satisfied with my installation and look forward to long and trouble free future with the heat pump.

Jordan Collins carried out the technical assessment with great professionalism and attention to detail. All my questions were answered clearly, and the whole process was smooth and straightforward. Interactions with the team were easy, making the overall experience excellent.

Unfortunately having had two breakdowns in two weeks on my Airsource Heat Pump installation I have come to right this review regarding the inefficiency of the after sales service.
The false promises of call backs and the constant chasing is draining.
It took two weeks to get engineer to the 1st issue and already 1 week in on 2nd issue and still waiting for a repair date.
Totally frustrating and poor customer after sales service.

From the start, Michaela was superb, and that's an understatement, then Phoebe took over and she was tremendous with both showing empathy when the going got turf with a scumbarg builder! Jacob was great and professional and lastly with Ivo who did the installation. Thankfully, Ivo lived very close by and he was exceptional all the way with emapthy and sympathy as well.

I don't have a heat pump yet, as I am struggling to get approval from my local council, but the experience with EDF so far has been nothing but five star. Especially the design support, technical expertise, clear and transparent communication by Daniel Rabbitt has been exceptional. Far better than any of the other four companies I explored.

They value my time and responded to my queries and concerns.
They also clearly presented the information discussed in writing and were quick to respond in the event of any further queries

From the moment we first made contact we EDF heating (CB heating as was) we found a team that was knowledgeable and helpful. From first discussion through to site visit, design and install the team were courteous and nothing was to much trouble even when small tweaks were required. The install team were professional and tidy and accommodated any issues as they arose. The entire process ran smoothly and we can't thank Ramya and the team enough.

My Journey started in June 2025 with the EDF team who where very helpful and explained the steps and process required to upgrade from my Gas combination boiler to the Ideal HP290 8Kwh Heat pump and Ideal HP Cylinder - PPC210.

The reason I chose Ideal was because of the quality of there equipment and there outstanding technical support after the system has been installed and commissioned.

As mine was a big job including 8 Radiators to replace Cheryl Teall and a team of 5 Engineers and one electrician where on site most of the time doing the work.

Starting on Monday 1st September the team first explained what would be happening and where things where going to go.

1st step was to remove my Old Combination boiler and pipes before capping off the gas.

2nd step was to run the electrics and isolation switch ready for the Boiler and heat pump.

3rd step was to install the Ideal HP Cylinder - PPC210 ready for all the pipes from the heat pump.

4th Step Mount the Ideal HP290 8Kwh Heat pump outside and run the pipes to connect to the Boiler.

5th step while step 4 was been carried out the Plumbers swapped out the 8 Radiators around the house and they tidied up as they went along which was nice to see.

6th Step connect all the new water and heating pipes up as well as insulating them all as they progressed.

7th Step was to connect all the electrics to the Heat pump and Cylinder.

8th Step was to commission the new equipment and bring it all online.

Cheryl Teall and a team where excellent they explained as they progressed and answered all my questions.

The team cleaned up at the end of each day and removed all the rubbish as the job progressed, they where all very polite and would recommend them to anyone getting this sort of work done as it’s a big change on how we heat and get hot water for our home.

As I have Solar and plenty of battery storage it’s a perfect combination for me and now I am fully electric on all my home as well as electric car so no more fossil fuels for me moving forward.

Thanks to EDF and Westwood Plumbing and heating for all there support on a stress free Journey on getting my Heat pump installed I would highly recommend them.

Excellent survey of our property conducted by the EDF Heat Pump Team. The surveyor (Jordan) was courteous and helpful throughout. We successfully worked through the installation particulars, together. I am pleased with the heat loss calculation result, the specified heat pump and the radiator schedule proposal. Good job EDF Heat Pump Team!

EDF Heat Pumps have just completed my installation, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the workmanship and the team.

The tradespeople were excellent from start to finish: plumbers Toby, George, Ollie, and Connor, and electrician Connor. From the moment they arrived, they laid down protective floor coverings and made sure to keep everything tidy, cleaning up after themselves throughout the job.

The copper pipework was crafted with so much care and attention that it genuinely looked like a piece of sculpture — a shame to have to lag it afterwards! The standard of plumbing and electrical work has been superb, and everything has been left in perfect order.

The office team also deserve credit — Jo checked in with me multiple times during the installation to make sure everything was running smoothly and that I was happy at each stage.

Overall, a thoroughly professional and skilled team. Highly recommended.
