Cd Japan is great, they have what i usually look for which is music, they have shipping options for every budget and everything is always packed carefully and very well. never had a problem. one of my fave asian sites.

Do not used their proxy service. When I made my purchase, the shipping charge estimated by their website is 6964 yen. I paid with my credit card. Two weeks later, my credit card was charged a significantly higher amount than what I had agreed. I then received an email and was told that I need to pay 15230~22713 yen for shipping, almost two to three times what the estimate was. Plus, the order can’t be cancelled. I asked why the drastic increase of shipping cost, but no explanation was provided. I can accept a reasonably increased shipping charge because I know what the website provided is an estimate. But two to three times higher shipping costs than the original estimate? I honestly have never experienced anything like this with my other international purchases. This is my first time using CD Japan's service, and I am afraid I will not recommend it to anyone since the shipping estimate is so inaccurate. Extremely disrespectful and unprofessional.

Buying stuff from cdjapan has always been a pleasant experience for me, never experienced any issues.
Their prices are good in my opinion and they can package item really well.
If I buy a vinyl or something where I want to be 100% sure it will arrive without a scratch I buy it from them and not from Amazon.
Also I never had any issues with order cancellations.

To the UK, at the time of ordering, only express delivery was available, which steepens the price. Nevertheless still the best place to get manga in Japanese. The price even comes out cheaper than English transaled manga bought in the UK even when including the pricy delivery. Purchasing and delivery process was quick and simple and it all came well packaged. I recommend buying in bulk(£80-100+) to make the most out of each delivery. I'll definitely be buying again form here👍

Have been using for almost seven years now, usually for music. The website is easy to use, the ordered goods despatched promptly and well packaged and the staff very helpful e.g. the prompt notification, by them, of the suspension of the EMS postal service a few months back.

I've been using cdjapan for over 10 years and they have yet to let me down. It is the best place to buy Japanese import cds and figures. The prices are very reasonable (generally lower than any other import company) and the customer service is great.

I was a CDJapan customer for nearly 15 years and until I have used their proxy service everything was more than fine!

Their proxy service tripled the original shipping price that was first communicated. Even though they have said the final shipping cost might be different I was not expecting the shipping to go from 6000 yen to 17000 yen!

They have told me that since the order is too heavy they cannot use AirMail which I find very weird as AirMail usually delivers up to 30 kg and we are talking about 4 vinyls here.

Their customer support was very unhelpful and gave me 3 days notice to pay the added amount otherwise they would not ship and would retain my money.

This is a very poor customer experience as they literally force you to use FedEx and DHL and do not provide any cancellation options.

I have been using this website for over 10 years and I've never experienced any problems. If an issue does occur I am promptly contacted and the issue is resolved mutually.

I have used CDJapan for a few years now to pre-order goods for the Japanese music projects I love. Using the site is really intuitive in my opinion. Customer service is always very kind and eager to help. When I pre-order items they always arrive on the day of the Japanese release or a day after, which is amazing to me. Everything is always packaged for safety and I have never received a damaged product. I absolutely cannot recommend CDJapan enough. I love their service!

My friend recommended this site to me some years ago, and ever since then, I haven't stopped using it. I buy most of the CDs and some other merchandise I get there, and it's the first website I check. My packages always come safely and never really had a problem. However, I wish they didn't make restrictions (6 CDs and a figure) because I would love to just keep track of just one order unless the release date is very separate from the products I decide to buy at once.

I have ordered from this company for some time now and never had any problems they do their best to get items sent out as soon as possible.

I love CDJapan! The app is really easy to use, the way of payment as well. Also, they are really fast with the shipping order (even when I had bought pre-order items, they shipped them almost immediately after the day they came out) and is always notifying yo about your order, your package, the track system, etc. I think it’s a really good option for worldwide shippers!

I have been a CDJapan customer for 10 years, since 2012. They are my go-to store for J-Pop/Idol goods (CD’s/DVD’s/Blu-ray’s/Books) and I’ve always had excellent service from them.

Items always arrive in good time (I normally select a delivery option that lets me track the order) and well packaged so I’ve never had any issues with any of my orders.

Shipping prices have increased recently due to Covid, and now the crisis in Ukraine, but still seem reasonable to me.

I’ve also used their proxy service which I’ve found extremely useful if I’m trying to source a rare item.

I’m looking forward to another 10+ years with them!

I love shopping at CDjapan I get the best items and the last purchase I made is for an exclusive item from one of my favorite bands. Even though there are tough times right now and is understandable the shipping prices. It’s worth it because everything is wrapped carefully and arrives on time with tracking number. There are so many things to order that it’s hard for me to choose CDjapan also has incredible customer service as well I highly recommend them

It's really a great service, they help a lot that we, international fans, get stuff fast and safe!
The only thing missing but I don't think is CDJ fault is some stuff is not available.

I'm very happy to be ordering from CD Japan - they have a very good stock of music releases at a fair price, and shipping is quick and reliable. They are a great source for music releases coming from Japan !
