Had an amazing time couldn't fault a thing and Imi made the stay even better. Keeping check making sure we had everything we needed and if anything she could help with. What a lovely young lady. all the staff we amazing and friendly.
Nice hotel, 1 rude staff member
We stayed here for a recent quick break. The hotel was lovely, the room was nice and the breakfast was good. The check in was difficult - the gentleman on reception did not appear to want to do his job. He made it very difficult to check in, it was 1am in the morning and I think we annoyed him by arriving so late (we called ahead and said we would be checking in around this time). He made it difficult with regards to the parking that we had already paid for in advance, appeared very rude and abrupt.
Food great, the rest not so much...
Check-in unnecessarily complicated and lengthy, although I was a corporate guest I was asked for a personal credit card for a £1 holding fee - they wouldn't take a debit card. The £1 was supposed to be refunded on checkout but instead I was charged £40 the next day for someone else's stay. I have queried this with their finance dept but they are saying they have no record of it. The hotel is quite dated and my room was right next to a large air vent which was loud all night. There is no aircon in the rooms so due to the noisy vent I couldn't have my window open. I couldn't switch off the radiator either so the room became very hot and stuffy. The check-in person really didn't seem like he wanted to be there. On a positive note, the food was fantastic (I had the burger - AMAZING) and the restaurant staff were brilliant. I doubt I'd stay here again just for that though. Hoping I manage to get a refund of the incorrect charges.

Me and family had to move into the cedar Court bradford for a time whilst the house got major repairs . Upon arrival I have to admit the greeting wasn't actually great . We had to move nearly all of our possessions with us and the staff didn't seem bothered , and the guy behind the desk looked like he was at funeral . However we did manage to get everything in . We did get given a family room which was way to small . After the 2nd day of being there we were having our breakfast and a manager called Naz came and spoke to us . She was very friendly helpful ,and she sorted out 2 conjoined rooms . This made our stay a hell of lot easier . Food was average I won't lie , and I wouldn't pay the prices they were advertising. Dawn the manager mostly on the evening was very good . And as for the asylum seekers everyone should just leave then alone they don't want to be here and they probably have lost family members in there war torn countries. Thank you Naz and Dawn !!!

I came into the hotel just before Christmas to have a catch-up with a friend. We had a hot chocolate and beer. It wasn’t busy at all and now I can see why. We thought this was lovely… This was until I got a letter through the post saying I was being fined £100 for parking in THEIR car park. When I called to query this, the lady said there’s a sign to say you need to register your car outside and that the Reception staff should have let you know. It was extremely dark outside, so didn’t see any sign and the Reception staff didn’t come across to tell me this information at any point.
Very disappointing to receive this letter on New Year’s Day! I wouldn’t go there again because of this and just a heads up to everyone else that may miss the sign… You’ll have a REALLY expensive catch-up.

Hi, we visited your hotel for our spa day on Tuesday. I just wanted to say the service from the two people on reception was fantastic. Each of them went above and beyond, both friendly and polite. Please can you pass on my comments to their manager and thanks to them; they made my partner’s 40th birthday really enjoyable. We would definitely return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the spa day to others. Thank you again.
CEDAR COURT HOTEL HARROGATE
CEDAR COURT HOTEL HARROGATE
We cannot thank the staff enough at the Cedar Court Hotel Harrogate. We were looked after so well. The food was lovely and the staff amazing. Everywhere was so clean and well maintained.
It was such a lovely touch too to find bottled water, biscuits and crisps on arrival in the room, plus, a lovely Coffee pod machine and kettle along with special teas and coffees.
Special thanks must go to Diane in housekeeping, what a lovely lady, we had a problem with our room key and she went out of her way to go to reception to have news keys arranged for us. Also, she kept our room immaculate and the beverage tray well stocked.
Special thanks also must go to Pablo and Elia in the breakfast room. They were both so helpful, kind and caring, nothing was too much trouble for them. They went out of their way to look after us. Also, my husband was delighted to be able to speak to both Pablo and Elia in their own language (Spanish)
HUGE thanks for a wonderful holiday experience.

Myself and my wife recently had an overnight stay booked at your Bradford Hotel (3/1/22).
Before this date I was contacted asking if I would like to purchase an upgrade which consisted of a bigger room and a basket of things on the bed which I thought would be a nice touch as it was my wife's 50th birthday and this was a surprise for her.
When we arrived and checked in we discovered nothing on the bed but just a bigger room which we really wouldn't of needed.
The room itself was unclean, there were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and even someone's hair with an elastic band still attached on the table. There was constant banging and running about above us.
We decided to go and have our evening meal, as we walked down the landings there were plates and trays of half finished food sat outside doors which have clearly been there all day at least.
When we went to order our food we were told that nothing we had seen on the menu was available and the handed a piece of paper with very limited choices on, we didn't want or like anything on the menu so couldn't eat. We had not been made aware of this and nothing on line either (now we know why the security staff and some others were eating takeaways).
We also had a meal voucher each which we obviously didn't use.
So upset and hungry we went home after just 4 hours of being there.
Wedding
Wedding. Cedar court Huddersfield. Wow what a wonderful day. Our friends wedding was amazing. The staff second to none. The food was lovely. The venue was spot on. The whole day went with out a hitch. I would highly recommend this hotel for a wedding. A well done to all involved. A big thank you for making our day and over night stay a day to remember with fondness. Lesley. 😊😊😊
My stay here didn't 'lift' my spirits
I stayed at Cedar Court Harrogate with my family for 2 nights at the end of July 2021, after getting married in Harrogate. And we became stuck in the lift, and had to be rescued by the Fire Services. My young nephew who has autism was crying his eyes out and screaming, while the lights in the lift intermittently went on and off.
We understood afterwards from bar staff, that the bell we rang constantly in the lift was heard by nobody. In a spot internally in the building of low mobile signal strength, we instead had to take turns navigating the hotel phone system (press 1, press 2 etc) to gain a constantly ringing-out line for at least 10 minutes of our time in the lift.
The following day I spoke colloquially to Mitie-employed staff who I could see were about to begin fixing the lift, and I told him this tale. And he said he understood the issue, he had been out to this hotel a number of times in the past re the lift, and it really needed an overhaul to make it fit for purpose. But the cost of that he accepted may not be palatable to the owners budget.
In summary, I would have grave safety concerns for other guests (particularly those who are elderly), if they were to have the same experience we did.
It was equally disappointing that our experience of the health & safety process and training that I understand is known and in place for all hotel staff, did not operate quickly and/or effectively on this occasion to - 1) ensure that the hotel were even aware of our presence in the lift, through a clearly operating emergency process when a button alarm is pressed. 2) To kick in clean conditioned air into the lift, when an emergency was raised (instead of increasingly heated, co2 filled air from all occupants). 3) To have a audible working telecommunication method available between the lift and the hotel front desk, that has emergency priority. 4) Turn on an emergency light in the lift when it stops operating correctly, that isn't linked to main lift power supply.
With any element of mechanical intervention within a process, it is accepted there can be faults. But clear want of failsafe to smoothly alleviate these issues by having ‘lived the customer journey’ for a scenario (especially if this has occurred before), I don’t feel is acceptable.
We were offered alcoholic drinks, tea and coffee after our ordeal by bar staff, to calm tears, trembling and anxieties. A Shift Manager also offered to move our belongings to a ground-floor room at no-charge. It is a shame I feel the people working here could only work with the tools at their disposal, which seemingly leaves them required to fulfil a 'fire-fighting' exercise when similar lift issues occur.
My post-wedding experience at Cedar Court Harrogate, is one I would wish never to be repeated by another. And I have followed it up with the Health & Safety Executive, to aid ensuring this is so.
Cedar Court Harrogate staff are amazing…
Cedar Court Harrogate staff are amazing - nothing was too much trouble. We stayed last week on our way south to visit family and will spend another three nights there on our way home. Sarah, front of house, was very helpful when there was an issue about our room - solved for us - and Kirsten in reservations made sure we got the room we wanted for our return journey. Aunty Jackie and Dan (Don?) in the restaurant worked hard to make sure we were looked after and the food was delicious - thanks to Max, Jo and Jamie.
Loved The Cedar Hotel Harrogate
Loved our 2 night stay at The Cedar Court Hotel Harrogate.Special thanks to Jackie who worked behind the bar and in the restaurant, she made our stay very special.
The teepee in the gardens was a great place to have a drink and relax.
Our room was big and clean and bed was fine.
Food was excellent.
Our only negative was Self Check in/out.
Upon leaving ,our self check out bill was nearly £100 over.Thank you to the girl on reception who helped me sort it all out.As I did not have my reading glasses,I found the whole thing very stressful. On completion I didnt get a paper invoice,so I worried all the way home.
Whoever thought up Self check in/out needs to give there head a shek !!!
Overall we enjoyed.
Would we return ... YES
