Absolutely awful
Absolutely awful. Dont fall for the monthly direct debit for the maintenance check, they don't carry out the service and took your money. Then they dont give you the refund even they agreed to. Absolutely liar and very frustrating to deal with them.

Good quotes normally
Often the best quote but on my last visit they could not quote online due to the problem with the Strait of Hormuz. Other suppliers quoted and I got supplied elsewhere.

I’m sorry to hear about your experience when you last tried to place an order with us. At that time, the oil market was extremely volatile due to the uncertainty surrounding the Strait of Hormuz, which meant we were temporarily unable to provide quotations.

I tried several times to order online…
I tried several times to order online but the site failed each time (over a period of days). I finally got through on the phone and once I was talking to a person everything was fine.
The delivery man put the oil in the tank without my knowledge - which suits me fine but meant I hadn't cleared the area for him.

Awful customer service, no regard for fairness.
Have been a customer of their HomefuelsDirect subsidiary for 6 years. I ordered 1500 litres at £0.54 a litre 10 days before the Iran war began. The delivery didn’t arrive, I spent 7 weeks chasing its delivery and was constantly fobbed off. At the very last minute they claimed they didn’t deliver to my address with Baby Tankers and should never have allowed my order. For context I bought from them on around 19 occasions over a six year period so this was news to me. I spent hours on the phone over many days and in the end they simply refused to supply the oil telling me I could cancel and re-order directly with Certas (the parent company) - every Homefuels order I made was delivered by Certas from the same depot. So when I suggested they simply send the same tanker they’d always sent they said no. This could only be if I cancelled (remember I’d paid a fair £0.54 a litre and they were now asking upwards of £2 a litre!! This was thenost stressful 8 weeks we’ve known and the possibility we had to find more than £2,000 more to fill our tank almost sent me over the edge. At the end of many calls and stern emails, they relented and said they’d honour the order (we’d now been out of oil for 6 weeks - no hot water and two toddlers in the house) but I could never order with them again and the order would instead be fulfilled by Certas (sent from the same depot, in the same tanker, with the same driver as before….). The whole experience was bizarre. Since then I’ve had emails from Certas asking me to leave them a review - I wasn’t going to bother but since they clearly can’t join the dots in their automated systems - here’s my review. Stay clear of Certas and their Homefuels subsidiary
