Misleading Credit Report remark

I've loved and used Chadwick's for years. Last month I received a notice that they would no longer be using the Chadwick's credit cards. That was fine, I didn't owe them anything. BUT, today, I received a note from my Credit Karma account asking if I had closed my Chadwick's/Comenity Bank credit card. They then noted that Chadwick's had put a remark on my credit report, stating that the account was closed by grantor and they lowered my score by 1 point. That makes it look like the closing of this account was my fault. It was not!

Ordered and paid for boots, received an in-ordered jacket labeled as boots

On October 11th of 2019 I ordered three different pair of boots. I received two of the three pair of boots at beginning of November. Instead of the 3rd pair of boots I received a red leather jacket labeled as boots. I too pictures and requested a return label and refund. It took three weeks to receive return label (our printer was down). Meanwhile I received numerous cheery sale brochures, Fast forward-it is now the middle of January and no refund monies to my pay pal account. Numerous phone reps said I would get a refund. The boots at half price with S/H came to 100.00. Very disappointed with the lack of quality control, being lied to and being out 100.00. I was very forthright with them explaining they sent a jacket, sent a photo to prove it. I sent the jacket back because I am an honest person. They have not been an honest company. Who do I contact to get my money back? Thank you!

I too had a return that I sent back…

I too had a return that I sent back well within the 30 day period before they went to a "no returns policy". They issued me a merchandise credit and I contacted them stating that I needed a refud because there was no reason I shouldn't have gotten one. They agreed and said they were processing it and it would take a few weeks. Next thing I know their website says they are closed until... FALL?! I'm still waiting for my $175 refund. It seems as though they are keeping our money because what goo dis a store credit if the store is closed. Fraud.

I've had only good experiences.

I've had only good experiences. For years. I liked the clothes, the fit, the price. Returns are simple...reseal the bag and apply the return sticker. Never any problems. I will certainly miss Chadwicks as an easy choice for one click shopping. Darn!!

I would give 0 stars if I could

I would give 0 stars if I could. I had EXACTLY the SAME issue as Janet P. did. I returned within the window for a refund and got a merchandise credit. Customer service told me that they only give merchandise credit when their policy on the back of their return form says otherwise. I think Chadwicks packed up and left. When I went on the website to order & use my merchandise credit, the site claimed to be closed to reorganize for the FALL. We are well into winter. I think they skipped town. My next phone call/letter is to the Attorney General.

Out 300.00

I like the clothing, but they have taken me for $300.00. I placed a large order, returned less than half of it within the 30 day return window. They never gave me the credit on my card. I called, was informed it was a merchandise credit . I had proof of the return within 14 days, so they stated I would be getting a refund. Never received the refund. Now they are" closed to restock their inventory" per the 1-877 number. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get my money back?

Longterm Customer Disappointed.

I've been Chadwick's customer for, must be, 20 yrs now. From back when it was part of the same store group as Jessica London. They could be slow relative to industry standards, but I've never had a problem with most item quality, shipping or returns until recently. (Though, the quality of some items had dropped in the last few years.)

About a quarter of the order I placed in November was canceled. I'm assuming because the items were out of stock. I had no idea until I went looking for the missing items. No notification at all.

And my last order placed on 12/20 was confirmed, but I have heard nothing since and it's been 2 weeks. Site is closed. Phones are closed. I have no idea if I actually have an order or it too has been canceled in its entirety.

It's very disappointing they had to go out like this.

Great company. So glad I ordered with them

I did my Christmas orders for my girls and myself from Chadwick's in spite of the negative reviews, and inspite of the no return policy due to their closing. All the orders came in fast. The quality was great. My wool coats were 50%off folded well and even had tissue between the layers. I am so very pleased that I took a chance with the orders. Sorry now I didn't order from them sooner. 5stars

I just called to order 15 items and…

I just called to order 15 items and every single item was sold out. I have a credit from 3 previous orders totalling $674.00. I did not get any assistance other than to send an email to customer service. I order using the catalog and not via on line. It would of been greatly appreciated if the gal I was talking to would of offered to help me find other items in my size. Again all I got was to send an email. They could of contacted me letting me know sooner to use my credits. Hopefully they will be of more assistance when they get my email. Does anyone know if credits can be used at sister stores? Not fair to keep our money.

No....not Chadwick's

No....I just found out, Chadwick's is closing! I am heart broken. I've been ordering clothes from Chadwick's for over 30+ years! They have furnished my work wardrobe and even the dress I wore for my wedding! Chadwick's - your quality of clothes has lasted me for years! From my size 8-16, they have served me through-out my different jobs. You will be missed tremedously. Thank you for always having something to get me through the stages of my work career, weekend and casual days!

I am so sorry to hear another quality…

I am so sorry to hear another quality clothing store going out of business. I have always had excellent luck with their clothing. All the negative reviews make me disgusted. If the people would read before they order. Where are we going to find quality ladies office wear....Walmart? I think not. All my go to stores have or are closing. Bonton, DressBarn andnow Chadwicks. Very sad.

I am really sorry to hear that Chadwicks of Boston is closing😟! I have been ordering from Chadwicks for nearly 30 years. I have always had a great fit and enjoyed their styles. Their catalogs made me at times wish I had a business industry career instead on patient healthcare! I have always enjoyed wearing their clothes on a night out in downtown Denver! I will miss you Chadwicks😢

Sorry to see you go!!😞

CHADWICK’S has been my go to catalog. I don’t care for other ones I receive. I’m disappointed to hear that they are going out of business, so many of my clothes have come from their company. Good quality and size is accurate. I knew something was up when I kept getting notifications for 50% off with no returns or exchanges. You will be missed!!

I have been ordering from Chadwicks for years. I love their clothing. Always nice wuality and good fit. I am sad to hear they r going out of business.
You r paying 60% off now on top of the sale price if does not fit donate to Charity of choice.

I am devastated to learn that Chadwicks…

I am devastated to learn that Chadwicks of Boston will be going out of business. I have been purchasing clothing for years. I have loved everything I have ever bought. I have loved the fit, the quality, everything. I have relied on Chadwicks for much of my work clothing. I am sad that I will now have to rely on another source for classic styles at great prices. Thanks so much Chadwicks of Boston. I will miss your products greatly!

Online retailer with no exchange policy? Really?

Very disappointed in an online retailer that doesn't allow any exchanges or refunds. I ordered two blazers in different colors and the material was completely different... two white shirts unable to be worn alone because virtually see-through. The quality that used to be there simply isn't anymore. Shipping takes forever - nearly 10 days from CT to WI. Unable to rate products on their site because my order number doesn't exist.

It appears they are closing which is really sad. They offered many classic items that other stores didn't.
When a store closes, their return policies do change.
