Beyond terrible service, chancellors should be ashamed of themselves. Best to avoid using them at all costs if you're renting otherwise you will regret using them as they've been nothing but unprofessional with me and my housemates. I've found them to be very unresponsive and incredibly rude each time I've attempted to make contact with them and when they've finally decided to bother speaking to us. They never ring you back and only seem to bother contacting you once you've raised a case with a Director at chancellors, who are also unresponsive and not helpful.
Worst part about moving into our new house is that chancellors have failed to follow agreements on the contract. Our house has been left with rubbish from previous tenants, mould covering windows and walls, broken beds in multiple rooms, chipped paint across walls, a broken window and broken fences and garage door leading to our back garden. How is this acceptable to move into? Having mould in our house is a serious health risk that cannot go unmissed. We have nowhere else to live so we've now been put in a situation where we must live with mould.
We've currently tried to make contact with a Director to complain about the state of the house but they've proven to be as useless as the rest of the employees who've dealt with our house.
After numerous calls and emails we receive poor responses saying they'll ring us back only to have no call and emails saying "sorry it has not been left in a good condition". That's not a solution to our problem and it shouldn't have been left in such a state, chancellors have breached our contract which isn't legal.
My advice to any group of students, couples or anybody looking to rent through chancellors is to stay well away from their "services", if you can call the work they do as providing a service, as they'll be no help and give you a house that's unliveable. They've taken no responsibility in any of this.
I'm imaging the response to this review will no doubt be an attempt at an apology with an email to the Directors at chancellors, who we've already contacted. Beyond frustrated and upset with what's happened to us, how do you sleep at night?

Manisha was fantastic during my recent property viewing. She was friendly, knowledgeable and answered all my questions! She’s always kept me well informed throughout the process; thanks again.

Appreciation to Maria for her responsive and helpful support most recently and in past months, especially as we engage a tenant who has not been consistent in payment and with whom there are question-marks. I have had very mixed experiences with Chancellors over the years, but have been pleased this has shifted with Maria. Thank you for that.

This is the worst experience I’ve had with this agent, I had a viewing with manisha Kajoo who was very unprofessional and gave a pathetic service. As a serious buyer I did not feel valued at all and the viewing was not arranged correctly as there was tenants still in the property and they was unaware of the viewing and some doors were locked so did not get a good viewing at all due to lack of disorganisation by manisha kajoo from chancellors she could not answer simple questions and was not considerate about my viewing at all as it was a long travel for me to get to the property. Manisha kajoo was pathetic at her job and was not professional at all I highly recommend not to deal with manisha kajoo for a poor service as her role was a joke and she seems very useless and should get sacked, the experience has really left me upset and never going to use this company again

I will definitely recommend Chancellors. We discovered a leak from the boiler and they promptly sent us a contractor who was able to fix it

The plumber helped me in an urgent need to install all fire alarm systems and replaced the toilet seat for the new tenants. Then offered a free fixing on toilet seat and shower screen in the another visit.
I really appreciated the hard work from Maria from the team.

We recently worked with Manisha Kajoo of Chancellors Real Estate in Oxford and had a very positive experience. Manisha was professional and attentive throughout the entire process. Whatever questions we had, she liaised with the owners to get the answers promptly. Though we ultimately decided to go with another property, this decision was not related to Manisha's excellent customer service. Overall, I highly recommend Manisha for anyone looking to buy or sell property in the Oxford area.

Chancellors has simply been the best high street estate agent I could have wished for throughout my time as a landlord. I specially want to mention Maria in Cowley (East Oxford) branch – since she took over the roles and responsibilities as the branch Manager (Lettings), her support, advice and guidance throughout has always been first class and delivered in a courteous and friendly way. Her service, work ethic, ideas and suggestions are always above and beyond that you normally expect from the branch Manager. I cannot thank Maria at the Cowley branch enough for her professionalism, great communication and understanding. Maria is polite, practical and does everything she says she would in a timely manner. I am really blessed and fortunate enough to have Maria as the branch Manager.

Jordan Gibbs at the East Oxford Chancellors branch enabled us view & eventually let a property in Oxford. He offered us a great service by guiding us on how to complete the tenancy application; plus whenever we had queries he was very swift at responding - he's also a very patient communicator. Once our references went through, he made sure everything was in place before we moved into the property. Overall we had a very good experience with his support.

Chancellors have recently sold my house, very quickly and with minimal fuss. They have been professional throughout and really courteous to me as a seller.
Wasim did a marvellous job assessing the house and getting it on the market for the right price. Manisha was assigned to my house for all of the viewings. We did 3 open houses and she showed 20 people round enthusiastically and efficiently keeping me fully informed of their feedback throughout the viewings. She was very respectful of the property and courteous at all times. I cannot imagine a better outcome. Since accepting the best of 6 offers put to me, Manisha has been keeping me up to date of the progress. It has been very helpful to have a friendly voice on the other end of the phone during the stressful lawyer part of moving.
I have been very pleased with the service offered by the East Oxford Chancellors branch and would not hesitate to recommend them.
The agent Ben S arrived promptly on time and came in to the property to first politely introduce himself and to check with me all the details prior to bringing in the potential tenant to be shown round.
I found Ben S to be highly professional, personable and helpful. He was able to answer all my questions.
Maria, hailing from the Cowley branch in Oxford, now assumes the role of manager for this new tenancy. Her adept guidance and steadfast professionalism have been a source of reassurance for us. Addressing our concerns with empathy, she has pledged to foster clear communication with our tenant. Maria's exemplary service in letting has established her as a beacon of trust, deserving of our commendation.
Thanks to Chancellors and Jordan Gibbs. Have been having difficulty renting a house in Oxford. That has kept me on the road driving 6hrs Fridays and Mondays. But Jordan took it upon himself gave me choices , arrainged viewings for which one of them worked out. He was fantastic. Am happy am getting settled. No more 6hrs driving
Thank you Chancellors, thank you Jordan for being so helpful.
Josephine was kind, helpful and very responsive in this very anxiety-driven house search for our young family. We now are in the final stages to sign a contract on a great new house.
Utterly appalling service from start to finish with my house sale.
At first they bombarded me with emails and phone calls from multiple people, and repeatedly asked for the same information. Latterly, nobody calls or updates me on what's going on with my sale.
Under no circumstances use these agents to sell your house. They're truly terrible.

Maria was brilliant with her advice regarding my house. She was very helpful talking with the tenants and resolved any issues, as well as with my queries. I’m very pleased to have her as the main agent looking after both of my properties.
