Not the easiest transaction what with lockdowns and a long chain, but Oliver & team handled the whole thing calmly and professionally - many thanks!!

We had a small flat in a nondescript block on the Finchley Road for sale.
Oliver and Rebecca gave us "Hampstead" level of services.

In addition to the regular data driven standardized reports, we would get one-one calls with detailed frank feedback and objective advise.

As the owner of a Garden flat in Swiss Cottage under a letting agreement with Chancellors in Hampstead, I have had occasion over the past few years to use and to appreciate their excellent services. I would not hesitate to recommend their letting services under the management of Mr Matthew Jones, now replaced by Mr Miles Freeman and sales services under the management of Mr Oliver Lewis. I recently had a serious maintenance problem with the flat to deal with in the very short notice and under extreme pressure. I found their support totally reliable and highly professional. The consistently always make that extra effort to ensure complete customer satisfaction. I am delighted to record this so that their merits are broadcasted appropriately.

My family have been very happy with Chancellors. We found them extremely professional and straightforward in an uncertain housing market ( Brexit and Covid). We particularly valued their recommended bespoke strategy for the selling and marketing of the house that really paid off. I recently bought a lovely property in Hampstead through Rebecca. I had been looking for sometime and what Rebecca showed me was absolutely perfect for me. I would like to thank for the excellent work you have done in letting the flat over the last number of years. The flat was let promptly when a new tenant was required. The service I received was excellent.

Andrew was quick to respond to our requests to view apartments when we had a very limited schedule to conduct viewings, and he suggested alternative suitable options that were not yet on our radar. Following our visits, he regularly kept in touch to suggest additional options that he thought might suit our needs. I appreciated the follow-up.

Andrew Bruce was excellent - friendly, efficient, a committed professional on all fronts. Others at the Hampstead branch that we encountered briefly were also impeccable.

What we did not like has nothing to do with the Hampstead branch, but with the general communications of Chancellors as a UK-wide organisation. The established workflow generates a truly crushing amount of e-mails where traditional lettings agents would send out one or two decisive, clearly worded and equally effective messages. The language used by Chancellors is often not just repetitive and impersonal, but bordering on pushy, even hostile. This is not what clients want to be confronted with when making important decisions and organising their lives for a move.

That's a shame, because it is perfectly possible to be legally safe and yet strike a friendly tone. At present, it is humane professionals in local branches, like Andrew, who save the day for Chancellors, making sure that it does not come across as a bleak money-making machine (which is perhaps what it is - but manners still matter).
