Charles Tyrwhitt has been nothing short of appalling
My experience with Charles Tyrwhitt has been nothing short of appalling from start to finish.
The problems began before my order had even been dispatched. Charles Tyrwhitt refused to honour the terms and conditions that were published on their own website regarding refunds. Instead of standing behind their own published policies, they simply refused, leaving me to deal with the consequences of their outdated and misleading information.
Then came the sizing. The measurements are so grossly misrepresented that it's difficult to have any confidence when ordering. To make matters worse, because some shirts were ordered with custom sleeve lengths based on their sizing information, they are now non-returnable. Customers are effectively expected to absorb the cost when Charles Tyrwhitt's sizing guide proves inaccurate.
Finally, the order arrived looking like it had been through a war zone. The carton was crushed, torn open on multiple sides, with large holes exposing the contents, and had been wrapped in black plastic in an apparent attempt to keep it together. It is genuinely one of the worst-packaged deliveries I have ever received. Whatever quality control exists over their packing and dispatch process appears to be completely ineffective.
For a company positioning itself as a premium shirt retailer, the overall experience has been anything but premium. Between misleading website information, poor customer service, inaccurate sizing, restrictive return policies and a parcel that arrived in disgraceful condition, I simply cannot recommend Charles Tyrwhitt.
There are countless retailers offering better products, better service and far greater respect for their customers. I won't be purchasing from Charles Tyrwhitt again.

We provide garment measurements, recommended body measurements and a fit guide to help customers choose the right size, so it's concerning that this information wasn't as helpful as intended. We're equally disappointed to hear that your parcel arrived in poor condition. Most of our deliveries arrive without issue, so it appears the package may have been damaged in transit. From your description, it's possible the courier repackaged the parcel after the original packaging was damaged.
I can see that your return label has already been generated. Once your return has been posted and received, we'll process your refund as quickly as possible.
Thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts. We sincerely apologise for the disappointment caused, particularly as you were unable to cancel your order because it had already entered the processing stage by the time your request was received. We hope you'll consider shopping with us again in the future, giving us the opportunity to provide the level of quality and service our customers have come to expect.
So many sizes, but limited selection and low durability
Well, they have so many sizes and fits that I have shirts that actually fit well. Catch a sale and you have a decent deal. However I am disappointed in the lack of selection in short sleeves shirts, and I have to say, the cloth that they use is not very durable, the edges have already started to fray.

£60 for a basic white shirt. £5 delivery. Poor quality and see-through material with loose threads. £3.95 return.
Basically, £9 to receive and send back a poor quality shirt. It’s a shame as all my previous shirts been bought from them but I won’t buy from there again.

The courier temporarily lost my shipment and Charles Tyrwhitt immediately offered to reimburse me, even though this was no fault of CT. Fortunately, the courier eventually found the package and my order was delivered successfully.
It really impressed me that CT immediately made that offer without prompting. Also, this was my second order from CT. The clothes in both orders look and fit wonderfully and are of high quality. I will certainly shop CT again.

I’ve had a few issues now with CT. Their supply chain is the biggest nightmare. They created .nl website leading us to believe the orders ship from Netherlands but actually it comes from UK and takes quite long.
Separately, I called in this last week to change an item and asked if I can add additional items so that everything arrives the same time before going on summer holidays. I was told and assured they can do the addition or I can simply do my own additional online order and they will ship the same date. Guess what?! Today only one of the orders arrived.
Seriously CT, you are making it very hard to continue supporting your brand.

We have multiple websites for many different regions - US, France, Australia, Canada, the Netherlands and others. We don't claim to ship orders from within any of those territories, so we're sorry if that was the impression you took from the .nl URL. We only ship from the UK, no matter where in the world the order is destined for.
You should not have been advised as you were about the shipping of orders, so that is, unfortunately, an error by that colleague. Orders are processed based on when they are placed. So if one was placed on Monday and the other on Tuesday (for example - no order numbers were provided), there would be hundreds (if not thousands - we are very busy) of other orders to pick in between. So it would be very unlikely that both would be sent together, or even on the same day.
We're glad to hear that one of your orders arrived and hope that you'll enjoy those items, and fingers crossed your second order will arrive very soon. Our Warehouse Team are working flat out at the moment picking, packing and dispatching orders as quickly as possible.

I bought a bright blue linen shirt, for a huge discount. It wasn’t the fastest delivery, but it was worth the wait. The shirt 👕 is of great quality absolutely stunning. Fits perfectly, it almost feels to good to wear. So I decided I would buy the other two linen shirts in that range that I like. So I went on and tried to order them but they had gone back to the original price without a discount, so I got on the Webchat and they honored the lower discounted price. Great customer service. I recently visited a Charles Tyrwhitt store for the first time in the Trafford Centre. I needed a crisp white shirt for a wedding I was attending. I was amazed at the choice of materials, sizes available and the quality of their white shirt range, which didn't compare to other stores I had visited trying to look for one. The service was very friendly, with staff being on-hand to help with queries around trying a shirt on, and choice of materials.
I opted for a white Royal Oxford shirt with the cutaway collar style. The shirt looked and felt amazing and made me feel amazing too. It kept me looking sharp all day at the wedding, even with no tie and sleeves rolled up later on. I am definitely converted and will be buying all my white shirts from Charles Tyrwhitt from now on, and now have my eye on some of their polo shirts too. All look really smart.
