My flight got cancelled and they…

My flight got cancelled and they refused to refund me an amount of 866.72. I called 10 times and waited on the phone for 3 hours and I was told that they were going to look into it. I received an email stating that they are unable to contact the airline to process a refund.
Here is the summary of my experience with cheap tickets. I lost $866.72 USD, and I had to call 10 times, probably more and waited on the phone for 3 hours to be told that I cannot get a refund even though my flight was cancelled. Just sharing an unbiased experience Good luck!

Worst experience ever.

NEVER EVER BOOK YOUR TICKET WITH CHEAPTICKETS!

The customer service is the worst. I’ve been waiting for an answer since March 2020 (it’s now July). I’ve had contact once with an employee about changing my ticket date, because we had to leave America asap due to the corona crisis. They did not help me neither did they reply within the period of 4 (!!) months

REFUND? FORGET IT. YOU WONT GET A REPLY

After 3 months and further failed attempts to get a refund I have to confirm for sure my previous conclusion that you will not get a refund or even the courtesy of a reply if you book with the Thai branch of cheaptickets.com. I wrote several times both before and after my scheduled British Airways return flight from London Heathrow to Bangkok on April 8th, which British Airways cancelled because of the corona virus pandemic. British Airways will not refund you if you buy through an agency, but this agency will not refund you and in my case, not even bother to reply.

Never EVER use CheapTickets.com to book…

Never EVER use CheapTickets.com to book your flights. We booked through them a month ago for a flight leaving tomorrow. Yesterday they emailed saying the credit card was not working and to call them. When we called they said no we charged your card but we need to change your flights. Once the call was complete the lady said you will receive confirmation via email in 3 or 4 hours. We never received so we called this morning and she said we need to rebook again because those flights weren’t available now either.

Long story short, the original tickets were like $170 but to book them today is $1000. So... just know when you book your tickets, they are not really booked!

Will NEVER use them again!

I Did MY Part...They Need to do THEIR part!!

I tried to cancel a ticket with in 24 hours of booking. I completed the online cancellation form 3 times. I’ve been on hold with a customer tangent for over an hour. Total waste of time. I Will be contacting my lawyer if I don’t receive a FULL refund ASAP.

Would give a zero if possible!

Would give a zero if possible. Flights cancelled due to Covid, no refund, no credit, out $1200. You cannot email them or talk to anyone. They need to be shut down, total rip off. I booked another flight through them assuming was getting the credit, it didn’t register and now have another charge and flights. DO NOT USE !!!

Cheaptickets.com.sg deserve 5 stars and many thanks

Hi. I have had a not too good experience with Cheaptickets. i want to admit that it was wrong of me to give them the one star poor rating a couple of times. Because I found out later that what they told me was true. My apologies.

I now want to give them a 5 star rating for a flight cancellation which was Covid 19 related. It was taking a very long time and I was anxious that I am not going to receive any refund for it. I couldn't get hold of them on the phone (I was most unhappy even though its not their fault as they had to shut the office due to covid). It was the same with emailing. They had to wait for the refund from the airlines. I didn't believe them. But I was so wrong.

Their email to inform me of the refund went to SPAM and I did not check my bank account. They had already deposited the refund into my account as they said they would.

My sincere apologies to Cheaptickets. Thank you for your hard work during this difficult time.

I will be glad to book with you again and recommend Cheaptickets.com.sg to my friends.

During this Covid-19

During this Covid-19, we had such a bad experience with CheapTickets. I booked our trip with them last November to Hawaii in this April, due to the pandemic it’s impossible to travel with elderlies and children, we canceled our trip and then tried to request the refund. First, they asked us to contact the airline company, the answer we got from the airline company was they only get paid on that day when we fly out with them, so the money is still with this agent, and we need to ask them for any issues. Once we got this information, we started to contact CheapTickets, first time when we contacted them, the agent admitted the money is with CheapTickets and will give us the credits which is available until next February. Due to the uncertainty of this pandemic, we are uncertain whether we can travel with elderly and children within this given time period. So we decided to contact them through chat again, and this time, the agent denied the money is with them, they bounced us back by saying the airline has our money and that’s the airline’s policy, no refund, only credit. So they contradict themselves when I asked for the refund. I shopped with CheapTickets for my last 10 years and I’m a very loyal customer to them. It’s ok to hold my money, but after my next travel with my credit, I will never ever shop with them again. Your app will be permanently deleted from my account.

Dear Keean,

We received your refund request for your flight reservation with Alaska Air.

We have conducted an investigation and based on our case history, there was no record that the flights were canceled within 24 hours of booking. At the same time, the type of ticket booked was our most economical fare wherein it comes with a pretty restrictive policy. It's a surprise deal called as ' Secret Cheap' because flights will only be revealed after purchase for a bargain price. We published this fare online with multiple indicators that the ticket is not eligible for any type of changes or cancellation after purchase even if the reservation was just booked a few minutes later and more so within 24 hours.

We regret for unfavorable resolution but this ticket will remain non-refundable and not eligible for any type of rebooking.

We appreciate your patience and understanding. Please let us know if there is additional information you need by replying to this email.

WOW!! This is ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE! The booking was done in ERROR- an error recognized IMMEDIATELY when I received the notification on my phone that my cc had been charged. We called in to cancel within MINUTES, and were told it shouldn't be a problem since it was made only minutes before, but we'd have to wait a couple days because the reservation wasn't showing up "on your end". Which we did and have been getting the run around ever since! In addition, the 100% trip protection (also purchased) is also MISLEADING, as it's anything BUT! Bottom line- The flight was a 15 hour flight, with multiple layovers - just to get to Reno, which is typically an hour flight or 7 hour DRIVE. My son wouldn't have even arrived in time for class, as this was an OVERNIGHT flight. The only reason this happened at all is because his college buddy who was supposed to be driving him back to school,and changed plans at the last minute and my family and I panicked! We were all searching for possible flight (extremely limited) and DID NOT INTEND TO PURCHASE- ONLY SAVE. There is no way this flight would've ever worked for him. And regarding the "bargain price"- it was no bargain at almost $400, for a flight that can costs as low as $95!

We have all the paperwork and wrote down notes to document the ongoing correspondence debacle! YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! And we will be posting and warning EVERYONE POSSIBLE, a large amount of UNR students frequently fly home. There should be NO REASON that I shouldn't receive a refund or at minimum a trip credit for $344.76 and travel protection $24 (total JOKE) for a total of $368.76 that was spent. We will also be filing complaints with the BBB, as well as any/all possible online forums, review sites...EVERYWHERE! Seriously, you should be ashamed of yourselves- seems it was a ridiculously long- overnight, expensive flight that NO ONE SANE would intentionally book (certainly not when you can drive it in 7 hrs) and once that "purchase" button was accidentally pushed... YEP! You got ONE. Your refusal to refund or issue a credit is reprehensible- considering the situation was explained to one OF YOUR representatives - WITHIN MINUTES of the accidental purchase. MINUTES!!!
I WILL MAKE SURE NO ONE I KNOW EVER BOOKS WITH YOU. YOU ARE SCAM ARTISTS.

DO NOT WORK WITH THESE PEOPLE!

I have been working with them for weeks due to the covid-19 issues. They refuse to refund me my money, and keep saying I have to wait 24 hrs before my flight to find out if I am eligible. They have told me to keep checking back on their website because their travel partners are constantly updating their policies. I have been paying attention to my motels website, and the airlines website. Both of them are refunding everyone's money because everything is shut down!

These people are the absolute worst. Very unethical!

Travel protection plan is a waste!

Terrible service. I bought the protection plan just in case I cannot travel due to being a care giver to my parents. I had to cancel my flights bc cannot leave my parents alone with the COV19 and travel and they refuse to give me a refund only credit. Everyone is getting a credit. I wasted my money buying the plan for nothing and will never use them again! They just lost thousands of dollars from me and my BIG family in future travel with them.

DON'T TRUST!! THEFT!!!

DON'T TRUST!!! They cancelled my booked flight. We were in the airport for nothing. No communication!!! They don't reply e-mails, calls... They don't pay back. They don't help. They don't refund. They don't follow European law. THE ONLY THING THAT WORKS IN THAT COMPANY IS THE "PAY WITH MASTERCARD BUTTON"!!!!!!

I HAVE ALREADY WROTE A REVIEW ON THIS COMPANY AGENCY ON 09/03/2020. RECEIVED A REPLY ON THE SAME DAY FROM ALEX CSO OF CHEAP TICKET. AS MENTIONED THEY WILL PROCESSED THE REFUND BY ORIGINAL FORM OF PAYMENT WITHIN 2 BILLING CYCLES. I HAVE CHECK DIRECTLY WITH THE FLIGHT COMPANY AT CATHAY PACIFIC AND THEY MENTIONED AMOUNT HAS BEEN REFUNDED BACK TO THE AGENCY. LOOK TILL NOW I HAVE STILL NOT RECEIVED BACK THE REFUND YET. Impossible to get any service or support

Impossible to get any service or support for this company. Hotel booking in place, not cancelled by me, hotel couldn't allow us to stay, understandably due to Covid-19. No way of getting any dialogue with Cheaptickets to arrange for a refund or re-arrange the trip.

Cheaptickets have left me stranded in another country

Cheaptickets have cancelled my flight and told me to rebook by calling them but they are not answering my calls. I have. Even in the queue and on hold for over 2 hours using 20 phone calling cards from U.K. to USA. Call me back now as this is your duty as you have left me stranded in another country!!!

Never using cheaptickets ever again.

Very strange decision of Cheaptickets to remove the phone number from the website in times of (corona) crisis. The only way to contact them is by email and they haven't replied any of my mails since two weeks. I am sure they will not respond at all and keep every cent.

Really really crappy Service. I have booked two tickets with flight protection plan and they cancel return ticket and refund small portion of money but never really return a penny from flight protection plan They never answer when ever I call. Never ever using this website and including Travelocity, Orbitz, Hotels.com, Hotwire, Trivago, CheapTickets and eBookers, all owned by same garbage group
