Hello Mr. Hoffmann,

we strongly reject the allegation that we sell or share customer data with third parties. Protecting the privacy and security of user data is a top priority for us, and we fully comply with all applicable data protection regulations, including the GDPR.

We do not sell personal data under any circumstances. The receipt of spam emails after registration can have various causes that are unrelated to our services, such as prior exposure of the email address, data breaches on other platforms, or automated spam targeting.

We take such concerns very seriously and would be happy to investigate this matter further.

Please contact our abuse team directly (abuse@checkdomain.de) with more details so we can review your case.

Account Closed After Payment – Serious Concerns About Transparency and Data Security

After your response, I would like to clearly state that I did purchase the domain and provided all required information accurately and honestly, with no inconsistencies and no fraudulent intent whatsoever.
The payment was taken, and then my account was closed approximately 48 hours later, without any prior notice or request for clarification.

If there were truly “incomplete or inconsistent information,” as claimed, then:

Why was the order initially accepted?

Why was the payment taken?

Why was I not contacted to correct or clarify anything before the account was closed?

Closing a customer’s account after accepting payment, without transparency or a real opportunity to respond, is unprofessional behavior and, from my perspective, unacceptable.
Verification checks should be completed before taking payment, not afterward.

This situation has also raised serious concerns about the security of my credit card information, especially since the payment was processed and the account was later closed without a clear and transparent explanation.

My experience with your platform has been entirely negative, and due to the lack of transparency and poor customer handling, I cannot recommend your service.

Hello Mr. Toudert,

unfortunately, we must firmly reject your claims. Your order was not approved, no invoice was generated, and consequently no payment processing was carried out by us.

Contrary to your assertion, no payment took place.

After reviewing your order, our manual verification process identified incomplete and inconsistent information. We classify such orders as so-called fake orders. For security reasons, the associated customer account was therefore not approved. As a result, the requested domain was not registered and, accordingly, your credit card was not charged.

This procedure is part of our standard fraud-prevention measures and serves to protect both our customers and our infrastructure.

If you believe this assessment is incorrect or if you would like further clarification, please feel free to contact us directly at cm@checkdomain.de.

Checkdomain is a company with very dishonest business practices

Checkdomain is a company with very dishonest business practices. It extends services and so-called contracts without explicit confirmation from the customer. If the customer does not want to pay the bill for a service they did not request, they send it to forced collection, and it causes large financial expenses incurred in the unfair collection process. I think that this type of business is even outside the scope of legality (Forced collection of a service that was not even provided to the customer). It is the same as if in a coffee bar the waiter, after the first coffee was drunk, arbitrarily brought another one and left the bill, without the customer having asked for it or drunk it. And of course, there is a forced collection for the coffee that was not drunk.

The end of cooperation with Checkdomain was a nightmare and I strongly advise others to stay away from them. Their fraudulent and false practices left me deceived and completely dissatisfied.

Hello Mr. Fućak,

we firmly reject your allegations!

Your .com domain has existed since April 2022. You paid for the 2023 and 2024 domain renewals.

Since you did not cancel your domain, your domain was automatically renewed until 2026, as in previous years.

The subsequent domain invoice from April 2025 was therefore legally generated. Therefore, there can be no question of "dishonest business practices."

Avoid at All Costs – Domains at Risk!

I decided not to renew one of my domains and transferred it to another provider, but they still issued an invoice against my will. When I told them I didn’t want to pay, they closed my account along with the domains inside it. Now they are forcing me to transfer the domains and charging extra fees. For one domain I needed to transfer, I requested the auth code, but they only replied days later — by then the domain was already deleted! Absolutely stay away from this company.

Update : When I asked them to cancel the invoice, they victimized me by deleting my account along with the invoice.

Hello Birkan,

we strongly reject the allegations made in your review.

The subsequent invoice you mentioned arose because you exceeded the 14-day cancellation period for one of your domains in May 2025. However, we canceled this invoice after you transferred the domain to another provider a few days later. A similar case occurred in February 2025, the invoice was also canceled.

Your claim that we deleted one of your domains is untrue. The authentication code for the domain in question was provided to you in June 2025 and again a few days ago.

Since you were apparently only interested in the domains included in our offers and not in paying subsequent invoices, we canceled the remaining domains on their respective expiration dates to avoid further misunderstandings.

We would like to emphasize again that all measures were correct, understandable, and contractually justified.

Poor support and experience

Just tried to sign up and send request to register domain. attached my PayPal account and waiting for account activation. after 24 hours without any letters got error "The credentials don't match. Please pay attention to the upper and lower case." as I understand my account was deleted. no letters, no clarification, no support ... looks like a scam.

p.s. if you thinks that if there are not necessary no reply after you got my payment data - it truly SCAM

p.p.s. if you are reduce cost to inform you customers by free email channel - that’s poor service.

p.p.p.s. I also send request to you support and all that they told to me - wait... that’s all

p.p.p.p.s. - responding to a registration request for more than 36 hours and not responding for "internal reasons" is not customer-oriented.
- blaming the client is not the basis for a respectful and long-term business relationship.
- if you register my account like this, I conclude that you also provide services.

Writing reviews is my decision and there is no need to change the concept. If I had not written here, you would not have clarified anything for me.
There are other services where I can do this in 10 minutes, but for some reason I chose you and I want others not to make my mistakes.

I thinks its all that you must to know about this company

Hello Dmytro,

thank you for your review.

Please note that every registration or order placed with us is reviewed. If certain points of an order or registration show anomalies, we reserve the right to refuse or cancel the order.

In such cases, the account may be deactivated without further notice, particularly if the verification does not meet our internal requirements. We understand this may be frustrating, but our priority is to ensure the security and integrity of our service. So this has nothing to do with "scam".

Your email inquiry regarding this has already been answered yesterday, with a request for your patience so that our contract service colleagues can provide you with further details. Giving us a negative rating based on this information, even though you haven't yet used any of our services, is not a basis for a respectful and long-term business relationship.

checkdomain wants to pay for a service I don't use.

I purchased a domain name from them for a single year, but my dissatisfaction began when they unexpectedly sent me an invoice for the second year without any prior notice. They sent me an invoice for 22 euros a week before the second year of the domain started. I immediately contacted customer service and cancelled the domain before the second year started. Even though I cancelled before the domain was renewed, they sent me an invoice reminder letter and they want an additional fee of 5 euros in addition to the 22 euros. Dear checkdomain, why should I pay you for a service I don't use? Moreover, I see that there are many users who are victimized in this way. Is this how your earning system works? I request that my invoice be cancelled.

Update: Hello Stefan. That's exactly what I was trying to say. Thank you for fixing the problem.

Hello "mina",

when you placed your order and with the first invoice, we pointed out that the regular domain price would be charged if the term was extended after one year. You have already received confirmation that your domain has been canceled.

The fact that you subsequently received reminders is of course incorrect. Unfortunately, there was an error when canceling an invoice. I have just had this corrected so that the matter is now closed.

I wish you all the best for the future!

Unfair Account Termination & Poor…

Unfair Account Termination & Poor Customer Service

I signed up for Checkdomain.de, provided all required information, and attempted to purchase a domain. Instead of completing my order, they blocked my account without explanation, claiming they reject certain orders without any clear policy violation on my part.

Their response was dismissive, and they refused to reconsider despite me following all their terms. If they selectively block customers without valid reasons, they should not be offering services publicly. Unreliable and unprofessional experience—beware before using their platform.

strongly advise others to steer clear of them

My experience with Checkdomain was extremely disappointing. Initially, I purchased a domain name from them for a single year, but my dissatisfaction began when they unexpectedly sent me an invoice for the second year without any prior notice.

Despite my immediate request for cancellation and explicit instruction not to renew, they went ahead and renewed it for another year without my consent. What's worse is that they completely disregarded all of my messages pleading for cancellation.

Dealing with Checkdomain was a nightmare, and I strongly advise others to steer clear of them. Their deceitful and fraudulent practices have left me feeling cheated and utterly dissatisfied.

Hello Mr. Dukhan,

I am very sorry that there was a misunderstanding on your part.

According to the contractual agreement, your domain was consequently extended because you did not cancel within the notice period of 14 days.

Unfortunately, you contacted us when it was already much too late.

You wrote us 2 emails on this topic, which we answered quickly and correctly from 2 employees.

We informed you over a month ago (February 10, 2024) that there was a problem with your credit card. Unfortunately, you never got back to us.

However, it is nice that you have now contacted us and that we were able to explain the background to you again.

Hello Fazihuzzamaan Rasheed,

unfortunately your order was automatically rejected by our order system. For this reason, there was no accounting and no domain registration.

There can be various reasons for the fraud check to fail. For example, if the data entered was incomplete or the address entered was only partially correct. There may also be other criteria.

If you have any questions about this, please send us an email to cm@checkdomain.de.

Created my account, gone the next day.

I had ordered a few domains during their sale and it said they were "checking" my account. After about a day, I go to log into the account and my credentials aren't accepted. Attempting to reset my password via email and customer number doesn't work either.

Absolutely not recommended

I pre-ordered a domain in 2017 for the .ing domain. Now it's 2023 and the .ing domain has started. But what did I unfortunately realise? The domain was registered by another person. Thanks for nothing and you can save yourself an answer because gone is gone!

Reply to the answer:

It was announced that I would receive an e-mail when the top-level domain is launched. That's the point of pre-registration, so I don't have to check every week to see when the .ing domain is available to the public. I didn't get an email and now that the .ing domain is public, you don't even sell them. But well, a German company in the technology sector, what can I expect, my mistake.

Hello KB,

i am very sorry that we were unable to provide you with the domain you ordered. But a pre-order does not mean that a domain name is reserved. In this case, someone else was unfortunately quicker and was able to secure the domain for themselves. The principle of first come, first served has existed for years and of course you have not received an invoice from us.

8 Days without support

I got charged €50 for a hosting service I did not buy.

Tried to contact support multiple time in the past 8 days and I got 0 emails back.
I tried to call directly and after waiting in the line I was told to email them!

Customer service is none-existent. I'm moving all my 7 domains somewhere else.

Hello Kabarza,

my colleagues were able to identify you and have already answered your question. You took over the web hosting contract in question when the owner changed in August 2023. The current invoice is therefore initially completely correct. This contract has already existed in your adopted customer number for 2 years. But my colleagues will offer you an accommodating solution.
