Absolutely love my rebirth II coat!! The quality of the product which is hand made to order is amazing. Even when emailing and asking when my delivery would be, Lucinda got back to me very quickly. I also love the little card and pin sent - such a nice personalised touch! Have so many people asking me where my coat is from!

The creations are some of the most beautiful works I've ever worn. The proprietor is so accommodating and ships in a very timely fashion. I will continue year after year to buy these AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL CREATIONS!!!

My Asylum coat from Church of Sanctus is beautiful and I feel like a character from Lord of the Rings in it. When I wear it, it literally makes people's heads turn, I get plenty of compliments and people asking where I got it.

Then I can happily tell them I have bought it from a London-based designer, it's handmade, made from all-vegan eco-friendly materials, by fairly paid staff. The fabrics and stitching are great quality.

The reasons why this is a 4-star and not a 5-star review are as follows:

a) There was a delay in processing my order, but the shop didn't let me know pro-actively. I had to get in touch when my item didn't arrive on time, worried it may have been lost in transit. Then, I got a prompt, polite, detailed reply from the shop owner, which was good, only I wish I was sent that without having to chase.

b) My item did not look exactly the same as the item shown in the online shop listing. In the online listing, the coat has plain PVC sleeves. When the item arrived, I saw the sleeves were made from a faux snake skin effect leather. I'm not a fan of the snake skin effect, and was surprised. I emailed the shop and again, received a quick, polite, detailed reply from the shop owner. She explained her original Asylum coat had PVC sleeves as shown in the online listing, but since she found out PVC manufacturing was bad for the environment, she switched to using eco faux leather that was used for my coat. She also said I could have a refund if I chose to return the coat. We exchanged a couple of emails and I said I loved the coat and would keep it. The shop owner said she would add up-to-date photos to the listing, prompted by my enquiry.

All in all, I am pleased with the coat and would buy from Church of Sanctus again in the future.
