We used to spend about an hour each time we wanted to watch a film finding something we'd agree on and then trying to find it available somewhere online (which it usually was not, as online licensing is tricky).

The indie/world cinema selection on cinema paradisio is great, as is not spending any time at all deciding what we're watching. When we see a film we're interested in, we just add it to the list and forget.

We're on the 6 discs a month package and it's going great. You can't beat the choice of titles available (million times better than Amazon or Netflix) and 4k discs too! The quality of 4k Blu-ray is also better than the streaming services. Long live disc rental services!
Only little criticisms are that the envelopes for returning the discs are ugly and the website needs some improving for mobile users.
Cinema Paradiso really needs to work on promoting itself better. Shout out the benefits of discs vs streaming 🙂

Don't join because after the free trial they stop sending and processing discs quickly and you will be lucky to get 1 a week! They then blame Royal Mail even though Royal Mail was perfect for the free trial! Crooks and swindlers at Cinema Paradiso!

I don't tend to write reviews so this one is the exception. This is a good service and might even be the last DVD rental service online via post. I've a 4k Blu-ray player, but discs are so pricey to buy. This service gives you access to the latest hits and in full 4k Dolby Vision/ HDR and Dolby Atmos for a small cost. Turn around time is really fast and I have manged to watch 4 movies a week!!!! since sigh up. There will come a point when I drop the number of rentals down, but this service deserves some love and support to keep it going. Well done Cinema Paradiso.

I would recommend Cinema Paradiso very much to those that were disappointed when LoveFilm closed. I use the 2 discs at a time unlimited per month deal and get to watch 10-12 movies per month. Amazon and other streaming services offer you old movies unless you pay extra for the latest releases. Also, they have a strategy to push you towards their own productions! With Cinema Paradiso I get to watch a variety of movies including recent releases and absolute gems of international cinema. If you are still thinking that the ‘cheap’ baseline subscription of LovelFilm is good value, think twice!

Mainstream and arthouse fans both well provided for. A fun, responsive, and good value service.

I'd like to know more about their disinfectuion processes if any.

Given the dilution of all the various streaming services when it comes to movies, it would require subscription to several to get a good selection. Either that or pay an abscene amount of money to "rent" a single film for a couple of days and stream it. Cinema Paradiso might seem a dated concept but it will always serve a purpose for me. We watch around one film a week for £9.99 a month and have no complaints so far. The turnaround time is very quick - in theory we could probably double what we watch, if we had time, for the same monthly price. We have not had any damaged discs and have used the "holiday pause" option when we've been away and then haven't been charged for that period.

The choice available is good and new films seem to be out fairly quickly. My only issue is with sending dvds back on a Friday, over the weekend or on a Monday where it can take a c9u0le of days for the discs to be processed. Typically if we send a disc back on a Friday, I don't receive a new disc until Wednesday! If we send one on a Sunday/Monday, we're waiting till Thursday

Been with this company since Lovefilm closed down. Does cost more but fairplay the service is on the ball. Typical week (no bank holidays in between): 2 DVD's post Monday, new ones arrive Wednesday, post them back Thursday and new ones arrive Saturday. Can't fault the service.

Does not compare to streaming services, most in my list are not available to stream, so I'm happy for this service and glad it exists and it's the only one left that offers it.

Complete bargain for 4k rentals, which are no more expensive than blurays to rent (despite being significantly more to buy). Really love Cinema Paradiso!

Too many part-damaged discs are sent out, and although some of them are just about watchable, it spoils your enjoyment of the films. We just sat down to watch Line of Duty - disc 1 of 2, but when we took it out of the sleeve it was cracked right through one side. So disappointing.

Awful customer service with very slow response times. Woeful selection of old movies and it can take up to one year for popular new movies to be available.

Great service from this company dvds usually arrive the next day and they even offer a adult selection of dvds if you are into that, something i dont remember from any previous rental service so really cool and you can buy extra rentals for 15 days if you need them

I LOVE Cinema Paradiso. I have been a subscriber for a few years now and can't see me cancelling for many years to come. The collection of movies they offer is second to none. I am a big fan of world movies so having access to the kind of library that Cinema Paradiso offers is heavenly. And the customer service is superb too. I have had hardly any problems over the years, but on the couple of occasions when I received a fault disc they credited me immediately with no questions asked. I do subscribe to severla online services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime and Eros Now, but if you love movies there's simply nothing better than Cinema Paradiso. If I had to cancel all of my movie subscriptions but one, then it would be no-brainer and would be Cinema Paradiso by a country mile.

Great choice of films (especially older films), never had a problem with deliveries, rarely have an issue with broken discs, reasonably priced. Keep up the good work!

A great service to take up where Lovefilm left off, never had any issues with delivery or returns and the selection of movies is great too. Also found that we were more likely to get newer releases from our list than when with Lovefilm. Customer service also great on the few occasions we needed them.

As a former LoveFilm subscriber I’m very happy with CinemaParadiso. I’ve never had any issues: a few scratched discs are to be expected but they’ve always been reissued without question. In the last week I had a billing issue due to me cancelling card I was using for payment - I still received my discs on time and without issue. A great service all round and thoroughly recommended.

I have been with this company since August 2018.I like the range of films available and I suppose it's decent value for money as I can watch bluray without the cost and clutter of buying discs . I have six a month .
Never had any lost discs and always same day return and service.
I have paused membership a few times.
Overall would recommend.

Need much to improve

I'm not sure whether Pace e-Solutions Limited (the company behind this site) is still trading... I've been trying since 18 February to get a response from their Customer Services with an account problem (attempts to log in give the error message "Invalid account details - Account does not exist", but attempts to re-subscribe give the error message "E-mail address has already been used"!), but the only replies I have received are "boilerplate" stock replies from "Mark, Customer Services" advising me what to do after I log in!

Is anyone still receiving DVDs?
