When things work, they are OK, but pricey. Due to a mechanical error, my all day excursion was ruined. For a company that has bus regular bus trips, there should have been an "emergency/stan... See more

I booked a Colosseum tour, was there on time, waited 10 minutes, and even messaged the tourguide and did not get a reply. It was my last day in Rome, I missed out on a lifetime opportunity and now they won't even profide a refund of 49 euros too. I booked through Viator and they said you denied my refund request.
I have proof i messaged them before the start of the tour, and also the unsued ticket. They still denied my refund request.

We bought 2 tickets for today at 10:30am for 180 pound sterling and we arrived 10 minutes late and nobody was there to give us our tickets while there are still people entering into the Vatican Museum with 10:30am tickets... called the help line and was completely unhelpful, we found 2 tickets for 11:30am paying other 50 Euro each...now queuing with people still entering with 10:30am tickets...that is the deadline 10:30am is imposed by City Wanders to its customers to forfait the prepaid tickets if they are late by a few minutes...this is a draconian unnecessary cutoff as the Museum would accept these tickets as the queueing people with 10:30am tickets were still entering at 11:00am... I know it for a fact as I bought 11:30am tickets and entered together with people with the same 10:30am tickets I already paid for today City Wanders (by the way 2x the price I paid this morning). I will raise this issue with the Vatican Museum organisation as I'm sure City Wanders didn't issue my tickets and therefore they completely took my 180 pounds in the bank... unacceptable in any other industry. By the way, no messages and no calls from City Wanders to check if we were near the Museums... overall a disaster from a client perspective

I booked a tour in error for the wrong date and cancelled the booking within approximately 30 minutes of purchase, as soon as I noticed the mistake. I also contacted customer support immediately to explain the situation and request a correction or refund.
Unfortunately, despite the cancellation being made almost immediately and no service being used, I was told the booking is strictly non-refundable under the operator’s policy. Even after escalation to the tour operator, the refund was refused.
While I understand the existence of cancellation policies, I was disappointed that no flexibility or goodwill was offered in a situation where:
The booking was clearly an input error
Cancellation happened within minutes
No tour services were provided or used
Disappointed by the customer service experience and wouldn’t feel confident booking with them again in the future.
I hope this feedback helps others understand how strictly the policy is applied.

The actual experience I had was completely different from what was described in the itinerary. I clearly booked a tour that stated a professional guide would lead us to the crater summit, but in reality, we had to climb it on our own. If this was simply a misunderstanding due to how the information was written on your website, I could accept that and let it go, even though I joined the tour specifically because of that description.
Another issue is that your guide named Anna was very unprofessional. She was only friendly to English-speaking guests, while being almost silent and indifferent toward non-English-speaking Asian guests like us. The only part I truly appreciated was the female guide at Pompeii—I found her to be very professional.
The most serious issue is that after your company received my complaint, this guide named Anna directly mentioned my name and my complaint on the bus, which led everyone to laugh at me. This is absolutely true, and I am not lying. Based on all of this, I believe people should be aware that the quality of your guides is not good, especially for non-English-speaking travelers.
Let me add some details about how she was unfriendly:
First: She was very cheerful and talkative with other English-speaking Western tourists, but when it came to us Asian guests, she barely smiled. I even made an effort to smile at her several times and gave her many chances, but this was still the response I got in the end.
Second: I was sitting at the same table with five Western tourists during lunch. After the meal, the guide came over and asked the other four individually whether they enjoyed the food, but she did not ask me at all. I even deliberately looked at her, hoping she would make eye contact and ask me too, but instead she just avoided my gaze and skipped me.
Third: At the restaurant, a Western guest asked her where the restroom was, and she said she would personally take her there. I heard this and followed along to use the restroom as well. However, when we arrived, she let that guest go first. When it was my turn behind her, she made no effort to let me go ahead and said nothing—she simply continued the queue as if I wasn’t there.
After the volcano tour ended, I even took the initiative to greet her, but she just looked at me without saying anything.
She would ask other people how their experience was, but she never once asked me. Everything I’ve described here is absolutely true—I am not exaggerating anything. I was already very friendly toward her, but this is the kind of response I received. I feel extremely disappointed and believe this guide was very unprofessional.

2 days ago we had the best tour of the Vatican, Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Bssillica. Nicola Guglielmi was our guide, he was fantastic, informative, friendly, extremely knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble and went above and beyond to make the experience unforgettable. Would definitely recommend.
we had a wonderful bus tour to Pompei, Almafi coast, and Sorrento. Our guide EdUardo 😉 was an excellent tour guide always kept the mood up with his jokes and expert knoweldge of Rome and southern Italy. Our driver Francesco with his amazing 40 years of experience expertly naviagated us through the winding roads of the Alamfi coast. Overall an excellent experience and would recommend it to everybody.
Not only we were happy with the quality and amount of the information provided, but also with the kindness and joy of the work of our guide Hager. Really outstanding! Not only she led so well a big group of a multinational group, but she also responded to all requests and doubts of the participants (myself included). On top of that, she has an amazing sense of humour. I would also like to underscore the professionalism of Giuseppe (the bus driver) - reliable professional, despite the challenges brought about by the road to St. Moritz. Congratulations, City Wonder!
We had a wonderful guided tour in Rome through the Vatican museums, Sistine Chapel & St. Peters Basilica with our guide Iman. Knowledgeable, respectful and kind
Rob our guide was excellent. Very friendly and funny too. He made our tour great taking us to all the perfect spots to see changing of guards. Would have missed lots of this special ceremony if we didn’t have Rob to show us around. Thanks Rob!

This is a scam company! Sold me tickets for the Vatican at 3 times the price by mimicking the design of the official website! Don’t be caught out like I was

Great tour!! The guide makes all the difference, and she was great!!
My flights were cancelled due to the conflict in the middle east and my trip was cancelled and there was no consideration to provide a refund. dismissive and unreasonable.

Nathalie was an excellent guide. Friendly, very knowledgeable and steered us efficiently from site to site so we could enjoy the whole experience from the best possible viewing points. Highly recommended.
We went on the Pompeii, Amalfi coast and Sorrento tour today (16.2.25) from Rome.
We arrived at piazza de popolo to be met by 2 members of staff who directed us to the correct tour guide. After a short walk to the bus (less than 5 mins) we were off!
Our tour guide Marius was very knowledgeable of local attractions on the coach journey. He was very attentive and offered support and information wherever possible.
We had a rest stop on the way and the way back at a service station.
In Pompeii our guide Carlos was very good. He gave lots of short stops to allow people to take photos as well as using humour to make the tour feel less lengthy. Despite the downpour of rain we had a great time exploring this archaeological site.
We got back on the bus and drove down the Amalfi coast. Our driver Giani made this look easy…
We stopped at a limoncello factory where we received 3 free shots of limoncello and pistachio cream and then were presented with a nice gift on the bus from the company.
We were then dropped in Sorrento for 2 hours to have some free time. It’s low season so lots was closed but there was still plenty to do!
Back on the bus for a long drive back to Rome!
Fantastic day that ran smoothly all thanks to our guide Marius!
Angie was more than great..excellent experience and sw was very helpfull
Our guide Troy at the studio was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He made the day fun and I really appreciated being able to get front row seats at the major stops. Our guide that met us at the train station did a great job to get us to the studio.
