Hi Classic FM, I've done a review a few weeks ago, gave 4 stars. Said i turn off radio when adverts come on. Got tired of that, pressed preset to radio three everytime adverts started. So nice to he... See more

He's Back
Lordy he is back ..Dan Dog Walker.
Try as I may..cannot listen to him. Definitely the wrong fit for CFM
Really enjoyed Aled Jones.
Switched to Radio 3 on Christmas week.
Switched to Radio 3 on Christmas week.
Have heard music I have never heard before.
Classic FM play the same music over and over again as on a loop. Sometimes the same music 3 or 4 times a day.
Also always Aled Jones covering when other presenters are absent.
Have Classic FM never heard of showcasing new talent?
Rubbish
Rubbish, they carefully pick their words to twist it into a clickbait lie.
Hi l just wanted to say a big thank you.ank…
Hi l just wanted to say a 'big thank you 'for your wonderful build up leading up to Christmas day. So enjoyed the carols, live choirs, the lovely stories of the listeners, and the fabulous presenters. As always,'Classic FM'.. truly projects the 'Christmas Spirit 'in a wonderful way.Thank you for making this season even more special during December
Best Wishes John x
great to hear John Brunning
Good to hear John Brunning he is still the same as he was years ago ,what a legend pity he is not on more thank you John for being on clasic fm
I have listened to Classic FM for…
I have listened to Classic FM for years, but now the vast number of adverts is making the programme annoying.
very tedious and too much banal chat
very tedious playlist, and way too much Alexander Armstrong.too many ad breaks also. it's like listening to the same cd on repeat! All of global radio's stations are the same. Sonatica and radio 3 for me.
Relaxing and friendly station - could do even better
I have always loved the easy relaxing mix of music provided by Classic FM.
But… the newsreaders are not very good at all. They mumble and stumble over their words. Either they need training or replacing. The news and any other essential information needs to be presented clearly. The diction is not good. The pronunciation is frequently incorrect. Please address this. No more “murder of the English tongue” to quote Henry Higgins.
Also, Dan Walker… warm and friendly (fellow) Yorkshireman (person) but maybe a little prone to hyperbole…?
Also… the adverts - they ruin the flow. But yes, I know they pay the bills 🙂
Classic FM Calm
Classic FM Calm - great idea - relaxing quiet music to relax to, go to sleep to, wake up to... Absolutely appalling implementation - interrupted by noisy adverts - Kwik Fit, getting down with da kids........... What is the matter with the 'programme developers/producers'? More and more I'm with Radio 3.
Christmas music already??
It's not even December yet and you are ALREADY playing Christmas music! Could you not have waited one more week? We get Christmas music overload throughout December as it is.
Mumbling Myleene!…
I am a great fan of Classic FM and have always loved most of the presenters, especially Anne Marie Minhall but please, please will someone ask Myleene Klass to stop mumbling! At times I can hardly understand a word she says, whereas the other presenters are as clear as a bell!! It's really annoying and I'm sure others will have noticed it too!
Why do we constantly have to listen to…
Why do we constantly have to listen to the same pieces of music time and time again. Swan Lake, Jupiter from the Planets, The Nutcracker. They have ruined these great pieces of music. I love classical music and will now listen to Radio 3 where there is much more variety.
I stopped listening to Classic FM in…
I stopped listening to Classic FM in the mornings because of Dan Walkers d Alexander Armstrong. I do switch on in the afternoon but now have to listen to Alexander Armstrong advertising for Air B&B and a pompous add it is too!
Couldn’t care less about listeners
I used to like classic FM but no more. You can no longer listen on DAB as they have changed to DAB +. It’s no good whatsoever for them to say you can listen on FM because that medium has appalling reception. So, if you haven’t got DAB.+ you can clear off. Shoddy treatment of loyal viewers.
The ads kill the pleasure
Quite simply the lovely music that you enjoy listening to is completely ruined by the ads. I've stopped listening now. I gave it another go the other day but the whole enjoyment was murdered by the stupid ads. I only lasted 20 minutes before the ads again and couldn't bare to listen so switched off again. I will find another station with some common sense or play my own by USB music without any ads ruining the moment.
Poor show
Following previous attendances at Classic FM Live at Albert Hall, we went this month but must say we were so disappointed. Although some music was ok, not sure where the Popular music was. There was no Jerusalem or Land of Hope & Glory and not even the National Anthem!!!!!
Will think twice about going again!
Too many presenters who talked so softly couldn’t hear properly. Such a shame!
Dan Walker is not a good fit with Classic FM…
Dan Walker is not a good fit with Classic FM. His pronunciation is poor, his 'quips' are tedious and uncalled for - totally spoils morning listening for me - have to turn him off
We use Classic FM for our wake up radio…
We use Classic FM for our wake up radio station first thing in the morning.
I have to say, I am also getting a little bored with Dan Walkers programme. Same old every day, dog walker stories and the music seems to be quite repetitive. The previous guy, I think his name was Tim, was very inclusive, chatted about all pet stories and his radio voice is what we want to hear first thing.
So unless Dan or Classic FM change course, we may have to re tune our radio alarm clock.
Update - Dec 2024
Finally had enough of them. Now happily tuned into Radio 3.
For goodness sake...
I'm 68 and I'm a passionate music lover.
Please, PLEASE get it into your heads that your listeners aren't dimwits! Have you any idea how frustrating and disappointing it is to hear each and every great composer reduced to ONE piece of music?
PS: my teddy bear Rupert has recorded a marvellous version of "O Mio Babbino Caro" on his kazoo. I'm certain this would be a track you could play to death 20 times a day rather than play somebody sublime like Maria Callas.
PS: the hearing aids are in the post.
Certainly agree with others…
Certainly agree with those other comments about Dan Walker, he is just not a Classic FM voice or personality. It is such an awful change to what was there before. Complete dumbing down of what was once a super radio station. Until he is replaced I will be a Radio 3 listener and may never come back.
