Great website for classic tv boxsets. Have just received my latest order of a complete set of Minder at over £10 cheaper than Amazon and in time for our Minder night!

Have used this website a few times now and they email out some great offers, have always been helpful and the delivery times are lightning fast. Recommended .

I have been buying my dvds from Classicmoviestore now for 8 years... I think I have around 15 orders from them and they are my go to website for buying box sets... the delivery has always been super fast and the DVD’s have been well packaged and arrived in boxes. They have always replied to my emails quickly and more importantly very helpfully. Can’t rate this site enough.

Dvds never came.
Offered compensation however not compensation received.

Was contacted only after the review was seen on TrustPilot-even after serveral emails.

The DVDs were a birthday present gift. Even though the same Dvds were avaliable on the website and I requested another copy of the DVDs in time for the birthday. The vendor was not interested and only interested in trying to improve my review on here. So was unwilling to provide another set of DVDs.

Seriously JUST USE AMAZON, customer Service is beyond poor from this site.

Ordered two weeks ago and still no parcel!!

I placed an order well in advance on the 8th July order #88873 which still hasn't arrived yet! I placed the order so it would arrive with time to spare and to date nothing has been delivered. I got a confirmation of dispatch and the website states it is 3-5 day delivery. However that is far from true.
The number on the website rings out even though they state they are open on the website between normal business hours.
I have emailed and had no response. Is this even a real company?!

The company contacted me and resolved my issue, I received my order and I am very pleased

Have used this site now for 7 years and always gets our dvds here.. the delivery has always been fast and they are always very competitive on price.. just like the idea of buying from a small honest retailer.

This company is a total ripp off and not to be trusted. I ordered a box set, which never arrived. Stay as far away from them as possible.

We did not receive our order of £139 worth of DVD's and after waiting 2 weeks contacted the company. They were a birthday present and had not arrived in time for the big day, so we were quite disappointed. We could not get hold of anyone on the phone and did not get any response to our emails, however, they did respond quickly to this review (now amended). They sent out a replacement set which we received a few days later. A month on and the first set has still not turned up. On receipt of the replacement set we noted that the DVD's were in total, more expensive than had we bought them separately from another site. Unfortunately the website did not provide enough details for us to make clear comparisons before we placed the order. We queried this with the website representative who offered a very poor justification. However, he did offer us a complementary DVD as a gesture of goodwill, which arrived today. In summary, our experience was not great initially but did improve. The lack of response to phone calls and emails was very frustrating and from a customers perspective not acceptable. However, they did respond quickly to our negative review and certainly resolved our problem as quickly as they could.

I am a great fan old old tv series and this place has all the best ones at the lowest prices. I ordered All Creatures Great and Small cheaper than anywhere else and it was delivered well packaged within a few days... no problem shopping.. will be back for more when I get paid.

i thought you should know that the Dragonball Z description needs changing. The website says 7 seasons is the complete lot but it isnt. Im missing season 8 and 9

Always get my dvds from classicmoviestore. I love the idea of using a tax paying retailer as I am fed up with big faceless corporations with poor customer service.. all of my orders have turned up on time and if I ever email I have always had a useful reply to my email within a day.. this place has all the old classic tv series I love from yesteryear and we have a huge list to buy from them... the only problem is you end up spending too much.... but it's much better getting them like this and being able to view them when you want without all the adverts... thanks again for your great service.. one happy customer.

I ordered some DVDs on 23rd Nov. After about 15 days I emailed to them to say they hadn't arrived, but I said that there were fiestas here (I live in Spain), and would hang on a bit longer. The DVDs didn't appear. I emailed again. They wrote and told me my email was blank, It had the 'Dear & Regards', but no message???. The ONLY time I've ever had that happen before was, about a year ago, when I wrote to classicmovies.co.uk to say a DVD had not arrived. Strange. This will be my last order if it arrives at all.
(I tried phoning last time but was always an answering machine, so I didn't bother this time. It costs too much from Spain.)

In reply to your reply. The post office here did not leave a card or, fairly obviously, I would have gone to pick up the DVDs. Did you speak to the post office, hows your Spanish? And yes I did check with the post office several times and they confirmed it was not there. Which means they lost it, and when it was found they sent it back to save face.
You sent a replacement you said: what happened to that, did that get lost as well or did they leave me a card - and again I couldn't be bothered to pick the parcel up from the post office?
AS for your international courier service, starting at £20. I have art materials sent here from the UK, which are often much bigger than a box of DVDs, for around £7.00 - £10.00, so I suggest you research your couriers in a bit more depth.

I ordered a dvd box set from them for a Christmas present for my wife on November and I did not receive the item so I emailed them and after a bit of chit-chat back and forth they said that they will send a replacement I haven't received the replacement as of yet and it's now only 5 days until Christmas I have tryed calling constantly just keeps ringing out left a message to call me back ASAP and also emaild them and still no reply the customer service is appalling and I won't rest until I get ether my box set or refund.

In reply to you’re response regarding my order I did not have any email from in my junk folder from you until today. Also if the item has been dispatched why have you not taken the payment? This has been showing as pending since last Thursday which the credit card company said was unusual.

The full Norman Wisdom collection arrived and soon after I was enjoying the unique on screen relationship between him and the great Edward Chapman. Great memories.

I am still waiting for the rest of my order for the Little House on the Prairie Boxed set,which I ordered and paid for up front in December 2016, which is 9 months ago. I have rang many times about this and have been promised and promised Season 7, which is the one missing. I only received Season 3 a few weeks ago, also outstanding since Dec 2016. I DID state when I ordered them that they were for a Christmas gift. Guess I should have stipulated which Christmas I wanted them for. Like others, I have been ringing about this, but there is no longer a recorded message where I can leave them a message.

I ordered some dvds, as it's only been 6 days since they despatched them, it is a bit too early say they have got lost. I tried the phone number on the website but it just keeps ringing with no option to leave a message. I sent them 2 emails so all I can do is wait for a reply. I just want them to satisfy me that they are listening to me, if I get to speak to someone or receive a reply I will be a bit less worried. Am a bit disappointed.

We live in Montreal, Canada which is part of Region 1 DVD code. Years ago we decided to buy a DVD player that could play Region 2 DVDs as well. Classic Movie Store was a big part of this decision. When we looked at the fantastic collection of box sets and compared their prices with prices from North American sources, we rapidly saw that the machine would pay for itself in no time (which it has, many times over). We have been buying from them ever since and have never had the slightest problem. Great selection, prices and low shipping costs - what more could you want. People usually write only to complain but our last order arrived three days after we placed it and we were so pleased that I thought someone should say so.
