I was already registered and used Clearpay before but when purchasing another item, they wanted to know my income and monthly expenses.
These were never asked before and it was unnecessary as far as I am concerned.
It was a lot of bother and I doubt I will ever use Clearpay again in the future.

I have been using Clearpay for a while now and I would really recommend it. It's Clear and simple. You always receive a reminder email from them, and it makes my life easier.

Due a glitch in Prezzees system, 2 (two) £100 gift cards, instead of 1 (one) were purchased via Clearpay, within 5 minutes of each other. I didn't notice the 2nd purchase until 10 days later. I contacted Clearpay and got standard "can't do anything, gift cards can't be cancelled" answers from an automated bot.
I then contacted Prezzee, who cancelled the 2nd and unused gift card immediately and confirmed via email that this had been done and that they would contact Clearpay with instructions to cancel.
I then went back to Clearpay with this information who were still refusing to help. The 'customer service', ha!! agent kept repeating the same 'can't help' blurb for over half an hour. Then they informed me, that a customer service request had been generated and gave me a reference code and told me i would receive an email. Lo and behold the email basically told me it wasn't there problem and the gift card wasn't cancellable. Clearpay have since taken payment again for the second gift card and reduced my spend limit to zero. Hopeless agents, reading from a script, with no desire OR ability to actually do the job they're employed to do, which is customer service.
I'll no doubt receive the generic, please reach out so we can help message on here. Pure lip service, they don't actually care, so long as they're making money.

Do not recommend at all overall the service the idea is good. But unfortunately the customer service and communication from this company do not recommend if you have any issue they will not communicate you. If you ask subject access report for your data promise you will they will not provide or answer that question or provide any details how to get this from them. All they do is create new tickets. Phone calling them unfortunately same results emailing them same results. Or they completely ignore you. They also do not care about your legal rights. There policy over rides the law. Unfortunately also I believe our data is handled in Australia (received a email from one of the email accounts so take that as you wish with that)
Again clearpay is a good idea but any problems they will not help you.

Convenient for being able to pay in instalments don't miss a payment tho as they penalise you severely but other than that great 👍

Absolutely disgusted by the way im being treated by clearpay, i have been a loyal customer for over 4 years now and never missed a payment with them, I had quite a good credit built up aswell but fir some reason they have taken that away and given me a major low one after all these nrw rules hit in, I never done anything for them to do this to me I have always made my payments, I will no longer be a loyal customer as they have not been able to give me a genuine reason for doing this to me

I did not register my new bank card and when I was informed that payment was declined I immediately went onto the site and tried to pay manually, but payment would not go through as they had old card on account phoned my bank and they explained that i had to register my new card, once i did this payment went through, this all happened over a few days not months and i owed less than £20,the payment i missed was less than £5.so what did clear pay do reduce my spending amount, then 3 wks later reduced my spending amount again.Because of this they put late payments on your credit score, absolutely disgusting, I am now closing this account.
My advice to anyone thinking of opening an account with clearpay STAY CLEAR,they do NOT value their customers.

Merchant never delivered my goods and when I disputed it with Clearpay, the merchant (cult beauty) sent back a picture of a delivered package to an unmarked address that wasn’t even a house. Clearpay decided cult beauty was in the right for never delivering my goods. I’ve spoken to them dozens of times over a month, and have NEVER gotten a manager to call back despite requesting one every day for a month. I asked about company policy. Apparently there’s a manager on site, and they are required to call me back. This company doesn’t care at all to follow the law or do their job. They’re a nightmare to deal with, and most of them are completely unaware of consumer law. Useless, I doubt a manager will ever call me back even though their company policy requires it.
Update: I have it in written email and recorded phone call that an employee said they reviewed the information I provided and promised a refund. They have no intention of refunding me, and I have called and provided written, photo, and law evidence in my favor for over a month. Furthermore, their response in app to this complaint was that “stolen packages are common”. What? It was delivered to the wrong address not stolen and I have provided evidence, they will do ANYTHING to get out of a refund.
