Zero stars should be an option.

The request. To increase the limit on a business charge card. Simple really!
The experience. After speaking to no less that 15 advisers and one supervisor all of whom couldn't help but assured me the next one was definitely definitely the right person I was put through to what I assume is some kind of dead number that works to convince you that your phonecall has any importance to this inept poor quality bank until you finally lose the will to live and hang up.
My advice. Use anyone else.. Anyone!

My 5th attempt at getting through to a Lloyds Business manager and at least 4 hours on the phone. They froze my account and wouldn't accept payments into it, at the time the performance was in the black. I've tried to settle up the account but it's been so far impossible.

No communication

Unable to get confirmation of my loan repayment to Lloyd's even after numerous phone calls to the business manager and calling in the branch. They are continuing to take money from my account even though the loan has been repaid. Contact anyone in lloyd's is a nightmare. I would encourage anyone to go elsewhere. This bank is useless.

Horrible bank for business account

Quite honestly, if there is a way to give minus 0 star, I will do That without thinking about it, these are bunch of horrible bad novice customer service personnel that has absolutely no clue whatsoever. I did apply online to open business account since the first week of December 2022, today is 30/01/23 and they are still telling me it’s going to take another 6 weeks to process the account opening. I will advise anyone looking to open business bank account to stay clear from LLoyds bank, unless you have a back up business account to use for business while you wait properly 2 years before they open a business account for you, horrible, horrible and horrible bank to deal with

Business banking set up and wait times are terrible

They give a timeframe of 6 weeks to set up your business account which is lengthy but I appreciate the volume they are dealing with. I have waited 6 weeks, submitting some additional info along the way when they've requested it. At this point it has been 6 weeks since submitting what I thought, and was told, was everything. They asked for a confirmation on an address on 25/01 and I got told to call back in 48hrs if I hadn't been told anything. 27/01 comes around and I call up for an update. I then get told it could take up to 6 weeks because I confirmed things they'd asked me to confirm. So technically, if they then ring me up and ask for anything else my processing time starts again for another 6 weeks - makes absolutely no logical sense. I could be writing another review in 12 months time still without an account... just insane. I've used them for personal banking for 15 years and they've been fine but wish I'd used someone else to set up my business bank account. Would not recommend to anyone if you want to get set up! Here's to sitting tight for another 6 weeks of processing

Worse Business banking Ever

Lloyds bank business banking has the most unhelpful customer service, who can't/won't resolve a query, they pass you around from desk to desk each giving very incorrect information. To top it all the waiting times to speak to someone is atrocious and when someone finally picks up the phone, their lack of knowledge about products and service is shocking. No wonder they are ranked 8th in Business banking index

Phone support is disastrously bad.

My card is persistently refused on line but works in retail machines. I have been waiting on the phone for 20 minutes. I was just answered. THe lady confirmed the problem and transferred me to someone else. As soon as the agent answered and said hallo the line went dead to a constant tone and i had to hang up.
This is really not good enough!

Hopeless Online Support

I've been trying to reset my password for Lloyds online banking. Tried online and it failed and I ended up being locked out of my account. They mailed me a one time password but I couldn't use it as I failed their ID screening even though I've banked with them for over 40 years. Numerous phone calls later, and their agent hung up on me ! Hopeless. I closed my current account due to similar issues, now time to move my credit card.

FRAUD COMPLAINT.

Hi,

I have refrained myself for 2 weeks in creating this review. Two weeks ago Myself and my partner had a day off together where we went out to do our usual shopping and spend a nice day out at the beach. We had just got paid that morning so being payday bills were all covered and wanted to have a nice day out.

When getting home at around 7pm that evening i logged online to find that 49 transactions from 5 different companies called Jessport travel, Itai O'cloth and money others had made transactions from my account that day for around £1200. As you can imagine i was absolutely mortified and quite shaken up.

I immediately called fraud where I was on the phone for around 70 minutes. Whilst on loud speaker the team member asked me some unusual questions such as have you been using only fans?, have you been purchasing from unusual sites along this platform?, Have you been gambling?, etc etc...

With my partner being there this made me feel very uncomfortable, as if i had, do you really think that i wouldn't be aware of certain types of transactions on my account?

There very much felt like an insinuation straight from the start. I asked him relevant questions such as how i would of made soo many transactions in one day when me and my partner hadn't even been home or online, but they didn't care. They told me that the transactions were linked to my address?

This did not help as i don't have a specific knowledge of cyber crime and it didn't feel like their team were friendly or polite and intolerably rude to the point that when me and my partner were asking questions they told me that they were closing the case and put the phone down on us.

We were absolutely distraught at this point as frantically pleading them toward the end to listen to us and our questions as they made us feel like criminals.

I made a second call to fraud immediately after where another member of the team looked into our case. The gentleman actually couldn't believe the decision that was made and said it made no sense in how this wasn't resolved more efficiently and appollagised for the upset. He made notes on the account saying that he felt this was the wrong decision and wasn't handled very well.

Since this point me Andy partner have been left in an extremely vulnerable position where not having the ability to cover rent and expenses could essentially force us from our home. No help has been offered from a company who's mission status is to help customers in time of need and a company you can depend on.

We haven't slept well at all for two weeks when this morning i recieved a further text message telling me that they appolagise, and my complaint would not be resolved until the 29th of September and i could take it up with the financial ombudsman in the mean time.

I'm absolutely disgusted in the level of customer relationship management practices and level of PR.

We just don't know how this could actually compromise us now moving forward over the next two weeks.

Appallingly Bad Business Banking Service

I cannot tell you how completely useless Lloyds Bank has become at any kind of business account management. Nothing but VERY annoying recorded messages and long queues, then when you eventually get through to a human being they are invariably unable to do the simplest of admin tasks. IT HAS TAKEN ME OVER 9 MONTHS TO TRANSFER A BUSINESS ACCOUNT TO THE NEW OWNERS OF MY BUSINESS AFTER I SOLD IT. 9 MONTHS OF FRUSTRATION AND INCOMPETENCE. Best go somewhere else. This bank is no longer fit for purpose.

Business banking that is not fit for purpose

It is very sad that a bank that did once provide good business banking has declined to a point where they are not fit for purpose. After 36 years of my business banking with Lloyds I have no choice but to find an alternative. I have just had the most frustrating time doing something very simple that has taken over a week to complete because they absurd processes and given priority over anything that resembles customer service
