Nearly 7 months to complete one wardrobe, 5 months for another.
A colleague of mine once said that it can be good if something goes wrong on a project as then you see the true character of who you're working with. Those words have come back to me in the last months and not in a good way for Cloisters. We did a number of projects with them and some were fine, but there were problems manufacturing the doors on two of them and also fitting the plinths on another. As noted in the title it was 5 months before one of these was finished and nearly 7 months on the other. However it is what happened in the meantime that is so poor. Like other reviewers have noted we were simply ghosted by them for months. Across the course of the months we sent nearly 70 emails and made more phone calls and voice messages than I could count. We didn't receive even one phone call in return and only the occasional useless email, so had no idea what was going on.
After over 3 months of no meaningful response and the frustration of getting no progress grew too much we increased the frequency of messages and finally got a response. It said to stop harassing them, they didn't understand what all of the fuss was about as the wardrobes were functional and as we were only waiting for decorative items we weren't a priority. Finally we had to give up a Saturday morning to go back to the showroom in order to actually get them to speak to us.
It simply should not have required this much time, effort and stress. In completely ignoring customers and not even giving basic communication or updates they demonstrated a complete disrespect for the paying customer and a lack of even basic courtesy. What is so shocking is we didn't see it coming, up until the point of us paying in full they had been so friendly and responsive. As I said at the beginning it's easy to be nice when things are going well, but our experience has shown it is simply not worth the risk that they don't.
By far the most unprofessional company…
By far the most unprofessional company I’ve ever dealt with. Ordered a replacement kitchen door and then never heard back for weeks, no answer to emails, phone and no call backs actioned when you left a voicemail. The only way I got them to respond was by contacting the company that they represent and whom they work for as a supplier to put pressure. I eventually got my money back but please do not waste your money - it is a very poorly run family business where there’s no care at all whatsoever for the customer.

Absolutely would not recommend this company. I purchased goods and then was completely ignored despite multiple emails and calls.
The next email I had was to say they were coming despite me asking multiple times for a date and also to say they are no longer of use to me as the work had been completed. Now the products have been returned, funnily enough communication has recommenced!
Do not waste your time or money.
A family business that cares..
We had our entire kitchen redone. What surprised me was the level of detail they went into during the design phase. the fitters were so professional and cleaned up every day. The end result is just WOW. A proper bespoke kitchen thats built to last.
Avoid Cloisters Design
Avoid Cloisters Design. Whilst Joe is a great salesman and designer, it is superficial. This company want full payment prior to starting work on site. DO NOT pay this. Once they have dismantled and removed your kitchen, Colin, the father, managing director and kitchen installer comes in on odd days, if you are lucky. The work is good, but ridiculously slow with no interest in the job. Once you have paid your money, Joe’s communication as good as stops. He rarely returned phone calls and constantly ignored messages. The only way to communicate was to visit the showroom where he was verbally rude; our visit there was an intrusion. With the intervention of a solicitor our kitchen was almost finished after approximately 6 months, but over a year on it is clear Cloisters will never return to complete the job. They are not concerned about snagging, there is no customer care at all. After all this time we are still missing a larder door hinge, larder drawers and acceptable cutlery drawer inserts, having been fobbed off with very cheap and nasty ones. We could never recommend this company and can only advise to steer clear.
GAVE UP AFTER 7 YEARS!!!
Finally after 7 years of the kitchen NOT being finished we bit the bullet and ripped the whole lot out and have had a new kitchen fitted by a decent company who did all the work in a couple of weeks without any issues and to a suberb standard.
Save time, grief and expense and DO NOT USE CLOISTERS THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY USELESS!!!
Deeply Disappointed
Deeply Disappointed – Poor Communication & Broken Promises
We had high hopes for Cloisters after an initially smooth design phase, but things quickly deteriorated after we made payments. Once they received the second installment, communication almost completely stopped. Calls, texts, and emails went unanswered for weeks even when we were told we’d receive a confirmed delivery date.
The only mention of delivery was a vague, unconfirmed "target week" with no details. This left us unable to plan or book our kitchen fitter. We tried multiple times to speak to someone but were consistently ignored. The final straw was discovering recent reviews from other customers facing the same issues, delays, incomplete work, and being ignored after paying.
We lost all trust and felt we had no choice but to protect ourselves and seek a chargeback. Instead of acknowledging their failures, Cloisters responded with legal threats and tried to push blame back onto us.
This experience has left us stressed, without a kitchen as we prepare to move in, and now starting over. I hope this review helps others avoid the same costly mistake.
We had two kitchens from Cloisters
We had two kitchens from Cloisters. Both times we found the team incredibly helpful and efficient. We even had one kitchen delivered to the South of France!
The quality of the workmanship was good and value for money. The range was extensive.

Cloisters completely transformed our home office. From our very first showroom visit, their team really listened, delivering a clever, high-quality design that even hides our underfloor heating manifold seamlessly. Every step—from planning to installation—was handled with professionalism and care. The workmanship is superb, the pricing fair, and we couldn’t be happier with the result. Highly recommended!

We’re absolutely delighted with our new kitchen from Cloisters. From the very first appointment, the team took the time to understand how we use the space and came up with a range of thoughtful, well-designed options. It felt like a completely different experience compared to the national chains – far more personal, creative and flexible.
The quality of the cabinetry is superb – even our fitter commented on how well made everything was. The ability to have custom-sized cupboards meant we could maximise every inch of space, and choosing painted doors in our own colour choice gave it a truly bespoke feel. Even the internal finishes were tailored to our preferences, which made the whole project feel very special.
There were a few delays beyond anyone’s control, but Cloisters went above and beyond to keep things moving – even arranging temporary worktops to make sure we weren’t left without a functioning kitchen.
The finished result is everything we hoped for and more. It’s transformed the heart of our home and we can’t wait to finally show it off properly. Highly recommended!

DO NOT GET A KITCHEN FROM CLOISTERS
This company will take your money but will never finish the job. Terrible customer service, and I regret the day I ever came across them.
**Avoid Cloisters at All Costs**
**Avoid Cloisters at All Costs**
I regret choosing Cloisters for a project that has now been ongoing for years. Despite paying in full for the work from the outset, the project is still not completed, with the kitchen left unfinished— still to paint and final finishings.
What’s worse, Cloisters has completely ignored attempts to reach out for updates or resolution on issues that have come up as part of the project due to their calculations and workshop production. Their customer service is nonexistent, with no response to emails or calls. It’s as if they’ve disappeared into thin air after taking our money.
They've even gone so far as to attempt to have real, negative reviews removed by prior projects by offering compensation or promising to finish the work. It’s clear they are more focused on hiding their lack of professionalism than delivering on their commitments. If we had seen the real reviews, we would not have paid in full from the outset.
We are beyond frustrated with the complete lack of accountability, and we strongly advise others to avoid this company at all costs. They’ve failed to finish the project, have poor communication, and are only interested in sweeping their incompetence under the rug.

Cloisters designed and installed our new fitted wardrobes, and we couldn’t be happier! We had an awkward space with sloping ceilings, but the team came up with a clever design that maximised storage and looked stunning. The quality is fantastic, and the whole process was smooth from start to finish. Highly recommend for anyone looking for bespoke wardrobes!
Great job
Joe contacted me very quickly to arrange delivery and set up and reviewed the property before the delivery date which was really helpful and made the delivery run smoothly.
My dad was very happy with the delivery men and the directions they gave him; they turned up on time and fitted the cooker well.
AVOID Cloisters Deisgn
Avoid this company. We are currently trying to get our money back through the small claims courts and wish to spare others the pain of our experience. We bought and paid in full for bathroom furniture to be fitted that never materialised. Don't fall for the 4th generational hype of a small local business like we did. It is important to us to look to small businesses but were naïve on this occasion. We followed their Terms & Conditions to the letter and they have basically stolen our money without any goods or services being given. Certainly we have dealt with Alex Nunn (salesman and presumably son) and Jacqueline Nunn (presumably mother and company secretary. We have tried to contact Colin Nunn, Director, but he constantly Has his "Out of Office "sign posted while he is on site and visiting factories. and has never returned an email or tried to contact us in any way.
Jacqueline Nunn has contacted us twice, agreeing to refund and giving a timeline to do so then nothing more. Alex Nunn has emailed us once since we paid in full by email using his wedding and other personal problems, as an excuse for non-communication and lack of action. He has since ignored all our efforts to communicate, so much so we feel our only option is the legal route. I am not sure how the company that we believe have another branch in High Wycombe has survived and wonder what their true purpose is!
Wonderful kitchen experience 😊
I was worried about making the most of my small kitchen space, but they surprised me with amazing ideas. The team was helpful and patient with all my questions. Highly recommend!
Exceptional Service
Dealt with Alex Nunn, gave a 5* Experience, his response rates were on point, picked up a project with me whilst someone was on holiday, so I wasn't impacted...very polite and friendly! Clearly an asset for Cloisters...thank you Alex!
Purchase of Blanco sink and tap
Easy to get hold of and very helpful.
Fast service and knew their products well.
I would certainly use them again.
I absolutely recommend Cloisters
I absolutely recommend Cloisters. Joe was so helpful with suggestions and creative regarding our kitchen design and colour. We all just love it! Even though it is smaller than our last kitchen it works better and we have so much more storage.
