*Club Fitness Will Send You To Collections For No Reason and Without Informing You And Try To Ruin Your Credit*
7/21/25: Was on a month-to-month agreement...went in to CF location after 1.5 yrs absence (health issues) on K, was refused entry, told my membership had been cancelled (by CF), that I had a $330 balance (apparently late/collection fees), and that I had been sent to collections; I was surprised and had no idea. When I asked why, I was told they couldn't process my card back in Jan of this year (prob an expired or replacement card); again, I had no idea because they never told me there was a problem and I wasn't attending the club at the time. Didn't feel like I should be responsible for a problem they could have easily avoided and pay a sizable chunk for "late fees" that I would have not incurred had they simply communicated with me so asked to speak to the manager to come to a reasonable resolution. Manager 'Mike' was unhelpful and basically said contact customer service. Filed BBB complaint. CF responded, refused to accept any responsibility for their negligence and lack of communication, or apologize for the inconvenience, and simply said I should have canceled my account, and defended their unfortunate and unreasonable decision to send my account to collections which completely missed the point: I never canceled, never intended to, assumed I had been paying the monthly fee the entire time, and expected to resume using their services at some point. CF never bothered to let me know there was a billing/payment issue and/or ask for an updated credit card and never communicated with me - again, no bill, no email, no text, no phone call, nothing - and instead went down a totally unnecessary road. They have lost a loyal customer who, despite their false accusations, pays his bills. Pathetic. Will fight any silly collections, in court if necessary, and sue for court costs, lawyers' fees, and damages; my lawyer will have field day with this one. Will join Planet Fitness.
