Store in Snodland has taken bags away from self checkouts. Understand this is to prevent stealing them for but for the sake of a 20p bag you have completely ruined the convenience of a self checkout.... See more

A co-operative (co-op) is a different kind of business. Our Co-op is owned by individual members and other co-ops, not big investors, and our members get a chance to have a say in how we’re run. Profits mean members receive money, rewards and offers and a co-op can support its local community.

Rude sales assistant
Rude sales assistant
No hello , no please or thank you and even when I emphasised a thank you she still did not respond
Quite impatient for me to put my shopping down
This is very disappointing
I’ve always found the Ashley cross coop staff to be very polite and helpful
The overall rating speaks volumes
Once upon a time, I was told that if a pack has a price on it, that they couldn't charge more than that price. Turns out, a delivery from Co-op with two for £6.50 on the pack, can be sold for two for £7.50, via Uber Eats.
If this is legal, it is underhanded at best. This was for some Minted Lamb Kebabs. They also only had one day life. The same deal applies to the Cajun style Chicken Mini Fillets, both the BIG ON BBQ range. I tried calling the store on receipt, but I couldn't get through.
Coop
Coop. Milton road Cambridge. Absolutely awful experience. Decided to pop down the coop for some food but was greeted by some of the staff all hunched together at the main door entrance giggling amongst themselves. It seemed to me like they just didn't care with one of the male staff members who had a beard starting pointing to the fact I had a broken arm in a cast. It's a real shame but I can see now why the coop is so bad for customer service. It's their staff. Literally.
Missing items when had a home delivery…
Missing items when had a home delivery but took the money. Raised an enquiry. Nearly a week later and still no response. Rang twice and got the same response both times 'my colleague is dealing with it you will get an email later today'. Asked for complaints number and got told by them they can't help. I have also offered video evidence but not been asked for it.
So why advertise a deal
So why advertise a deal, when you cant have the deal. So 2 pizzas and beer for a £5 but no beer so couldn't have the deal . So it should be removed I had to pay £3.95 for 1 pizza . Its not the cost its the principle of the matter. Dont sell something u can fulfill
Lots of frustration with Co Op
Lots of frustration with Co Op
It's my local and most convenient shop.
But you need to be a member to get the better prices.
I am a member.... but can never get the app to work when I'm at the counter trying to pay. Multiple password resets and what not. It just never works at the till.
End of day I end up paying top price.
1.Please can you work on a app that actually works
2. Please provide a scannable card like tesco I can keep on my keys
That would be a great improvement
Thanks
Bought out of date food twice
Bought out of date food twice, (always check now) over charged numerous times and refused an energy drink at the age of 45 because my 19 year old was with me and didn’t have id.
Occasional offers are good and some staff are nice.
Shocking behaviour from old staff member
I called into the Grange-over-sands shop today at 16.16. Happened to swipe my co-op card too soon, which brought on her attitude, and after I paid for my shopping and walked off, (after saying thanks), I clearly heard the old woman behind the till call me a BIT-CH! Absolutely disgraceful for a woman of her age! Some of the staff there seriously need sacking!
Co op a disgrace Absolutely useless staff
Co op Lyndon Avenue swansea 1 7 26
Absolutely useless staff
No help at all
My bill came to 58 pound
They took it twice😱😰
I couldnt afford for them to take it twice as I had other bills

Scum of the earth robbing ... '
Poorly managed Cromer store
Went in to the Cromer store in Norfolk today and it was chaos.
No staff on either side the staffed checkouts so a queue at the three out of four automated ones.
The store felt totally unmanaged so we left without purchasing.
Co op badly managed
Co op S80 Whitwell. Get your act together. Day ten fridges still down no milk no dog food no large uncut bread. You have put self serv in and no where to put your bag to load up. Been in no staff servicing counter so left stuff went elsewhere. The offers are ridiculous buy five items and there is always two items missing from the offer. The only supermarket in the village. So Tescos or Morrisons if you are reading this get yourselves down here and give them competition. Large new estates being built around the village. Village has two corner shops.
If the Co-Op are such an inclusive…
If the Co-Op are such an inclusive company, how come they haven't hired me?
I spent 16 pounds on 2 bags of salmon…
I spent 16 pounds on 2 bags of salmon to throw away in bin it's not salmon and it's from china cant trust anything anymore.
Terrible
Terrible.
Fridges broken but still charging the public over £2 for fermenting salad.
Extremely rude staff treat you like dirt.
St. Marychurch Torquay.
The most incompetent retailer in the UK
Possibly the most incompetent retailer in the UK. Three weeks ago I took advantage of a members' offer. I didn't want to pay for delivery as the shop is only 300m from my house and I was going that way anyway. I got there and my order was sitting on the counter but they refused to give it to me because they "only do delivery".
I complained and head office said they would sort it out.
So today I tried again and the same thing happened. That's about £40-worth of perishables that will end up in the bin because the staff don't understand the concept of collection.
I found a dead fly in the bread
I found a dead fly in the bread that I had bought that was fully sealed. Within 24 hours the co op apologised and refunded the bread of £2.64. Really appreciated the quick customer service and apology!
EXCELLENT SERVICE
A journalist, I read papers every day.
The Coop at Childs Hill in London proves the only shop near my home that accepts the Guardian and Observer subscription card.
It, moreover, accepts subscription vouchers from me for the i, besides the Times and Sunday Times.
I find all the staff friendly and helpful, led by the manager, Harshad,
Bradwell Coop. Avoid!
Bradwell Coop, Newcastle-under-Lyme. Looks like they've given up with customer service altogether now. Without exception the staff pay more attention to picking online orders and ignore customers waiting to spend money at the till.
Often there is no one on the till and you're made to feel guilty for bringing a staff member off filling up shelves or racing to sort a delieroo order.
Sad to think that they bang on about giving profits to good causes and forget what the Rochdale Pioneers set it up for in the first place: provilding hard up locals with cheap food. Now they charge sky high prices and give profits to good causes to claim a moral high ground.
I'm sure 99% of thier long suffering customers would prefer lower prices and someone at the till when they choose to spend thier hard earned cash in this joke of a store.
The coop on kings road is a disgrace
The coop on kings road is a disgrace.
To avoid upset, instead of going there, i will order basic heavy items online & go to Waitrose for fresh food & fruit.
Well, that didnt work either! It wouldnt take my money. Which i suppose i should be grateful~ the reviews i have read, i dont know how this company is allowed to carry on. Wasted Saturday hour. No more….. my usual oroblem with deliveries, is they get lost! I live 107 steps from the coop!! Why do we put up with this! Oh! I rang customer care, but it didnt seem to exist 🤷♂️
