Location was very peaceful, lovely views. Loved the sun room, spent all our time there. However, the cottage on the whole is very tired and needs a good clean.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re pleased you enjoyed the peaceful location, lovely views and especially the sunroom. However, we’re very sorry that you found the cottage tired and that the cleanliness did not meet the standard expected. Your comments have been passed to the owner and caretaker for their attention.

We do hope to welcome you to Pembrokehsire again in the future.

Looking very tired and in serious need of TLC. Paving outside leading to front door is very unstable and a serious trip hazard. Vertical blinds in double bed room are falling to bits as also the ones in the room next to the kitchen. Despite receiving an email about the new recycling regulations, the welcome pack did not include these and was exactly as it was last year. There was only one new recycling box on site (waste food) so we took all our recycling home with us. The extractor fan in the bathroom was exceptionally noisy and in need of replacement. The toaster has also seen better days. Every mug on the mug tree was tea or coffee stained so we had to wash them all before we could use them. We know that should have been done by the previous guests, but should have been checked by the team.

Fantastic, spacious property in a great location. Also very well equipped; it really has everything you need. Would definitely recommend to others. Only let down by the outside appearance; the exterior is unkept to the point where we thought we’d pulled into a derelict property when we arrived; driveway is full of weeds and pots of dead plants. This is something that has been commented on by previous visitors in the visitor book.

Great location on edge of the village, with uninterrupted views across large garden towards the sea. Lovely 'sun room' is part of spacious accommodation. Very relaxing and quiet and close to the northern coastal path.

Wonderful situation exceptionally well equipped but let down by poor first impression, dirty front door, wobbly paving stones. Property also needs more than a surface clean

Would have been 5 out of five if we hadn’t found cobwebs and balls of hair in two or three places, also the recycling information needs urgently updating as it is totally wrong and five years out of date.

Nice quiet location but might be different when building work starts on opposite side of road.

We chose Bryn Y Brenin for its great views, location within walking distance of a pub and proximity to family nearby. The Ship does standard pub food really well with good beer on tap. It gets busy so booking is recommended. There's a lovely view of the sea across the fields and we saw seals from the cliff path which was only a couple of minutes walk away. The property has an unusual layout and there are several room plans around. We didn't see these and raised a query with the agents which was dealt with very promptly. The conservatory was a lovely place to sit and eat, even in the heavy rain. We had a couple of issues with the cleaning which were dealt with appropriately. We won't hesitate to return.

Would have been five out of five except for the instability of the paving flags leading to the front door. This could be an accident waiting to happen they are so rickety.

A beautiful location; however, we felt that the property was a bit tired and could do with some improvements; however, the quirkiness of all the different rooms was fun and interesting. The shared garden was lovely; however, for privacy, a separate washing line for the other half would be sensible. The driveway had a lot of weeds as did the pathways. The information about how to recycle and deal with rubbish was non-existent and we had to find out where to put it ourselves. To then discover that this was also shared with the adjoining property was odd as it meant that next door had to come over to our side regularly. There were only two tea spoons for a property that allowed four guests and when we arrived the coffee filter had a used filter left in it, which was mouldy. The knob for the one cupboard, which appeared to be the one left empty for guests, kept coming off. Despite what we have written above, don’t be put off. The property is quirky, the view over the garden to the sea is stunning and sitting in the conservatory each evening watching the sunset was lovely. Just be aware there are a couple of things that could do with looking at.

Very pleasant place to stay, light airy and spacious, on the edge of the village with open views across grass to the sea. Easy access to coast path. 15 mins from St Davids. The property is clean and tidy with all facilities provided - it has a slightly 'tired' and dated look and could possibly benefit from a few improvements, but on the other hand is very good value for money as it stands and very comfortable. A very enjoyable and 'chilled' week
