A nice cosy cottage, walkable to the sea. Not a problem really, but a bit musty, although it is an old barn, so didn't use wardrobe . Food storage cupboards a bit tired too, some insects crawling in there. FAO owners, guttering outside bathroom broken, so gushing down in heavy rain. Well equipped , cosy and a pleasant stay all round. thank you!
Dated property. very 1980s with décor.
It's unusual for me to write a generally negative review but as we left Elderberry Cottage well before our week was up, it's unavoidable on this occasion. The fundamental issue was that the cottage appeared to not have been properly prepared and inspected before, what I suspect, was the first rental of the Season. We were greeted with a rotten and badly broken front gate which gave a very poor first impression; the front door was swollen and actually stuck in the doorframe and the bedroom window handle came off in my hand. But mainly, the cottage was very damp and clearly hadn't been properly heated and aired prior to the start of the Season which made the nights increasingly uncomfortable until the point at which we decided to leave early. There were other more minor issues including only one set of rather thin towels and one tea towel and a towel radiator which appeared to be on a timer so couldn't be used, at will, to dry towels out. In fairness, I have already contacted Coastal Cottages who assure me that these issues are being addressed and the fundamental one we we encountered should become less of an issue as the weather warms and holiday occupancy increases. However, I do hope that Elderberry Cottage is properly prepared for the start of the 2025 Season as the lack of preparation did basically spoil what otherwise would have been a great visit back to my home county.
Great: location, customer service, v responsive (Ffion), character, woodburner, everything we needed for a short break and to visit interesting places. Less than great: cleanliness in bathroom, decor in need or a spruce, unable to open bedroom window. Overall, happy to recommend, I'm confident the faults will have been addressed.
The cottage was cosy comfortable and well equipped. (Wi-Fi worked well too!) The only downside for us was the location, as it was a little out of the way and not within walking distance of any amenities. That said, if you don’t mind using the car the area is beautiful and I would recommend staying here for a quiet holiday.
Lovely, quiet, cottage, provided everything you need for a comfortable stay. Ideally located for exploring North & South Pembrokeshire. Communication & information excellent. The only downside was the cramped shower cubicle and a few cobwebs on ceilings & windows. Would recommend if you are looking for a quiet retreat.

Idyllic little cottage tucked away in the heart of the countryside but only a short drive from the beach or Haverfordwest.
I loved the cottage. It was very cosy and warm. Everything we needed was provided. And the complex was sunny and peaceful. I am sure I will be back
Tidy and very well appointed cottage. Conveniently placed for touring all parts of Pembrokeshire and only a few miles from several beautiful beaches. Provided us with a comfortable base for a very enjoyable holiday.
Cosy, comfortable, well equiped and close to the Pembrokeshire coastal path.
A small, romantic cottage, somewhere in the middle of nowhere in Wales. Perfectly adequate for a week, everything you need is there.
