Fairholme is a lovely cottage. Its location is absolutely perfect. It is in a blissfully quiet road (other than the noise from a few birds) and literally two minutes walk from the first pub in Solva. It had everything we needed including good heating for the evening when the sun went down and a comfy bed. Exclusive parking opposite is perfect. The garden is a delight with the babbling river at the end - so beautiful, so peaceful. Solva has all you could want, it's tiny but boasts four pubs (all very different), two or three shops, a cafe that makes smashing coffee and a great shop at the top of the hill that sells everything from plants to dressed crab. The surrounding walks and scenery is amazing and the many surrounding beaches are absolutely beautiful too. Being in such close proximity to St Davids (a ten minute drive) is an added bonus. If you are looking for a comfortable base, perfect location, peace and quiet, good eating/drinking and walking/scenery to die for Solva and Fairholme should be top of your list. Everywhere is very dog friendly too. We loved the food in the Cambrian Inn, the local pub cosy atmosphere of the Ship, the light and airy bar/garden at the Hats & Barrels - the Harbour Inn wasn't for us, but that's just personal choice. The Print House cafe was delightful too and the coffee was great. Would return in a heartbeat!
