Halfways is in a stunning location and everything had been provided to make our stay a comfortable and enjoyable one. It has a lovely garden, secluded enough to make it safe for children to play, and with an impressive number of wild creatures in evidence to add to the innate beauty of the spot itself. Unfortunately a number of the double glazed windows need replacing, some of which have water pooled inside them, and this did detract somewhat from the pleasure of sunny evenings sat inside. In addition, there is some evidence of damp in the property which needs addressing. Also, while we appreciate that spiders are amazingly quick at spinning webs at all times of year, the whole place would benefit from a quick whizz round with a feather duster to remove the obvious ones.

We took a little chance having never stayed here before and had a great stay at Halfways with good weather. The cottage has amazing grounds and space and the solar panel are a nice eco-friendly touch. The washing machine and outdoor line made drying up beach wear and towel a breeze. Location is great, an easy walk into St Davids. The cleanliness was a little poor with collections of hairs behind the bathroom doors and some of the cutlery and plates were dirty - but the dishwasher took care of the latter. The plastic dish rack had lining of grime on it. Our children found a used vape tucked under their beds. The older parts of the cottage seem to suffer from damp, with a strong mouldy smell when we arrived, but in the new build sections of the cottage this was not a problem. A couple of days of airing out and it was barely noticeable. Overall, a pleasant stay, the cottage info explained the owners parent(s) has previously lived in the cottage. Genuinely seemed like they are trying to make improvement and its clear some parts have been modernised while others are a little tired.

Another wonderful stay. If you are looking for remote peace and quiet this is the place for you. 5 minutes by car into St Davids centre. Quiet this time of year. We visited 1st week of November. Most shops and cafe's closed out of season. Nevertheless a wonderful stay. Just what we needed. Cottage, comfortable and well equipted with everything you could possibly need. Great price as we took advantage of the offer 7 nights for the price of 4. We have been booking with Coastal Cottages for 10 years. Cottages never fail to delight. Fabulous staff if needed but we have hardly have. Would not book anywhere else.

Good location. 10 mins walk down quiet lane to harbour. Same time other direction to St Davids. Spacious property- all rooms, very private and quiet grounds. Well equipped, warm, plenty of hot water. Close to all main places to visit in this part of Pembs. Didn't miss TV as owner provided lots of books/ games etc, A large OS map framed on the wall would be useful for planning days out. Also some outdoor games - eg pop up badminton to make the best of the outdoor lawn area. Handy porch for wet clothes etc We enjoyed the week. If you like fresh seafood Mrs Wills, the Fish, Solva sells seafood platters from her house (see Facebook). At £35 for a platter for 2 with lobster and crab is good value and fresh
