On arrival at 16.05 the cleaners were in the property and their van in the parking space, so we had to go and pay for car parking and drinks, we returned at 16.30 and they were still in the property and we were told they would be further 10 minutes. We telephoned Coastal Cottages and they said they were unaware of any delays and would call me back, this they did at 17.00 and said the cleaners were just finishing and the delay would be reported to management and we would receive a telephone call from the company after our holiday, it is now 7 days since we arrived home and still no telephone call . On entering the property it seemed to be in reasonable condition and almost like the photographs on the web site. We are sorry to say that the property is tired and in need of some works. 1) externally the windows were dirty and had cob webs all over them. 2) the area around the bins was dirty and the large dustbin had no lid 3) there are weeds growing at the front ant a large bush at the rear is growing over the parking space 4) the kitchen is tired, the oven door does not close properly and the fridge door makes an horrible sound when it is opened 5) there is damp around the front ground floor window 6) the extractor fan grill in the bathroom is covered with fluff and dust 7) the double bed sheet and under sheet was too small for the bed 8) the cleaners had not cleaned behind the settees because we found considerable dust and even a small football 9) three wall light bulbs were not working 10) the visitors information pack has seen better days and was out of site on a pile of jig saws under a table 11) there is no map or directions to the addition parking facility which is approx. 5 minutes walk away Sadly we would not recommend Coastal Cottages
