The furniture is very stained and uncomfortable. The tv is very temperamental as are the remote controls. The curtains in the lounge smell awful of stale sweat/sourness/bad onions. We had to stop closing them after a couple of nights as the smell was so bad. We had an issue with a wet slippy floor in the downstairs bathroom. Apparently the owners sent an engineer out according to Coastal Cottages who only informed me after I rang them but nothing looked any different and the floor hadn’t even been dried or the problem sorted out. The problem continued to persist and Coastal Cottages stated they were unable to offer any further help of any kind until after we had finished our holiday and suggested we use the upstairs bathroom instead. We came home early. One of the reasons for choosing the cottage was it having a downstairs bathroom which was out of use. We won’t be staying there again or booking through Coastal Cottages.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with some aspects of your stay on this occasion, particularly as returning guests to the property.

We have been in touch with you directly regarding the concerns you raised. As soon as the issue with the downstairs bathroo
m was reported, we arranged for a plumber to attend promptly and cleared the system. Following a further report, the property was revisited, however no fault could be identified. Based on similar reports received during the same period, we believe the exceptionally hot and humid weather may have caused condensation to form on the tiled flooring. However, we will continue to monitor this closely going forwards.

We were also sorry to hear your comments regarding the furnishings and have passed all of your feedback on to the owner of the property.

Cannot fault the location of the property. Great position, lovely walk into Amroth and Colby gardens. The best thing about the property was the conservatory. Property would benefit from a thorough clean. We felt the glasses and mugs were people’s left overs, very few matching items. Some of the baking trays need replacing and there weren’t enough forks. The beds have to be the most uncomfortable ones we have ever slept in, none of us wanted to go to bed at night as we knew we would be uncomfortable.

Lovely cottage in a great location with beautiful views and nice sized garden. Everything there you need so a real home from home. Yes some things are at little worn and dated but it's an old cottage with character. You get what you pay for. We would definitely stay again.

Lovely location and generally all round it’s a great place for a holiday and we have been back several times, but tv provision is rubbish and the fridge leaks which we pointed out last year.

Not recommended for nervous or inexperienced drivers. Great cottage but the parking information is deceptive- it said parking for 3 cars. The parking space may big enough for 2 small cars, but cars need a turning circle. The drive is very steep with a drop off, and the road is especially narrow and steep. (We are used to Pembrokeshire roads.) You need a forward entry and exit to the drive/parking and someone to direct the car on/off the drive. We had a Kia Carens. It was a very tight fit- I wouldn't do it alone. Without the hard standing on the far side of the road a 3 point turn in the road wouldn’t be possible. The top left bedroom smelt a little damp. However, the location close to Amroth and beach walks at low tide to Saundersfoot were great and we loved the conservatory. Overall the cottage/view/ location is worth the parking issue, though I would rather have a smaller/narrower car as it did affect usage.

Rose Villa had everything we needed for a great holiday in Pembrokeshire. Very well equipped, clean and perfectly situated to enjoy the area. The views over Amroth are spectacular and the villa is so peaceful. We had a great stay and hope to be back at some point.

Great house in fantastic setting, but so close to everything - beach, village amenities, woodland walks! And a new boiler and cooker! And recently decorated in and out.

First impressions not good. Exterior of the property needs a lot of attention and the access isn't easy. However inside is clean and comfortable and very well equipped. The welcome welsh cakes, milk etc. was very much appreciated as was the dishcloths, tea towels etc. The views from the cottage of the sea are wonderful and to be able to sit in the garden and enjoy a glass or two was a joy. Would have liked more heating as the central heating came on about 4.30 p.m. but seemed to go off at about 8.30p.m. so used the fan heater. Overall, an excellent property but first impressions need improving.

Rose Villa was beautiful. Beds comfortable, view amazing. Real home from home. We had a really lively stay. Only downside is driveway is a little challenging to get in and out of. There is a bar sticking out of the left hand post which needs grinding off. My son in law cought his car on it on his way in and scratched the car. There was everything you needed and more. Otherwise a lovely holiday was had and would definitely return.
