What a wonderful wonderful view from this house and this house is designed to make the most of the view out over Goodwick Bay and Fishguard.
On arrival a homemade sponge greeted us and milk in the fridge so we could have coffee and cake after our drive down. There was also some sachets of dog food. Nice touch from the owner Steve.
The kitchen is spacious and well equipped and was so peaceful, a lovely vibe. The lounge on the next floor is again spacious and has the view. If you are also lucky enough to have the bedroom at the top it's fabulous. The outdoor space was great and was used for our morning coffee and evening drinks as we were out and about in the day.
Myself and four friends stayed for the weekend and had a great time.
There are plenty of walks from the door with pubs and cafes to stop at. A big Tesco Express in Goodwick is good for essentials. The friendly pubs(Rose & Crown, Hope&anchor, and Royal Oak in Fishguard) are worth a visit. Also the yacht club in Lower Fishguard Bay is worth a visit just for their scones never mind the beautiful harbour setting. It was nice to find that there was free parking in many places a definite bonus.
Further away is beautiful Pwllgwaelod cove, Newport, New gale beach and St David's which we visited in the week when it was just my husband and our young sprollie dog. Our dog settled in well as the house is on a quiet lane.
The owner was lovely, and also checked in to see if everything was okay midweek.
My friends, hubby, our dog and l had a lovely stay from the 6th June for a week and would love to come back to this house in the future.
