The pros to this cottage above the Swan pub are definitely the views and the closeness to the beach. There are three pubs in the Village and The St Brides pub is definitely worth a visit, great food, friendly service. There some great walks around the area. I would not say this is a five star luxury apartment as described in the cottage write up literature. I personally felt the cottage could do with a little bit of TLC plus attention to some of the smaller details. Rather dark at night when returning in the dark as the lights were not working on the entrance walk way. The key lock and entrance key catch could do with a dose of WD40 as these were very stiff, With it been above the Swan pub it was rather noisy in the evenings, but you can't beat the Location, Location, Location.

very good view
Wonderful nest delightfully situated on the edge of the water!
We were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the Swan, in fact it was filthy. We had to clean ALL table tops and kitchen areas before we would use them. There is no ventilation in bathroom at all, so with four adults showering the steam was an issue. Our other major concern was the complete lack of outside lights on the decking leading to the entrance. The building itself is ,apparently,200 years old, so some leeway must be given but we will not be returning.

Lovely stay in amazing location. Needs a bit of money spent on it - matttress and bedding need replacing - mattress too small for base. Had trouble turning shower off. Blind in one bedroom fell off the wall. There were no recycling bags/bins. Overall a great place and would return.
Stunning location.Well equipped apartment.
V. nice experience of Wales by the sea and you could not be closer to the sea
This property has so much potential. The location is to die for and the views are spectacular. The original features make this property special, but sadly, it wasn't very clean. The bin was dirty and there were cobwebs everywhere. The grouting in the shower was black and the whole place really needed a very thorough clean. Additionally, the furniture and soft furnishings was mis-matched and pretty worn. Information stated that the pub downstairs served meals but they don't, just 'light bites' and the bins on the terrace were nowhere to be found so we used the ones in the village near the cove. With a good clean, a fresh lick of paint and some well thought out furnishings this could be perfect, but we felt for £2,000 the finish and level of cleanliness should have been better. The beautiful village, wonderful cove, views and walks made up for the finish though and we had a great time despite being slightly disappointed by the accommodation.

Location is superb. Pub underneath not really an issue because it’s hardly open. The entrance is via the pub patio and not an issue for us but some might find it strange. The entrance to the flat needs improvement it doesn’t look too good. Not clean enough for our liking. Not a single clean mirror and the bathroom radiator definitely needs replacing and a good clean under the bath would be good. Bedroom has a super view but needs a larger mattress to fit the bed. The plaster on the walls need attention because it gives a tired feeling to inside. The location is brilliant but the flat needs updating
The perfect spot for an out of season break. Comfortable, cosy with spectacular views over the bay.
Absolutely amazing location but would benefit from more attention to detail on the cleanliness and quality of beds

We had the best week at The Swan during half term. The proximity to the beach and the sea views from the property were the best in the village. Idyllic. We travelled with our 4 year old who had a great week too. Little Haven is really small with only 3 pubs (including the Swan), a cafe and a little lobster take away but it was perfect for us to get away from it all. There’s a Londis shop for essentials across the bay (you can walk to easily when the tide is out if you don’t want to negotiate the steep hill). The Swan itself is a beautiful pub with a lovely wine list and a great welcome. Paul who runs the pub is on hand if you need anything during the week. When the pub is open you can hear the hustle and bustle below but this wasn’t an issue for us but maybe would be for those that want a quiet location. Hearing the sea crash against the shore throughout the day and watching the tide come in from our sofa was a real pinch me moment. We will definitely come back to The Swan!
