I had a very enjoyable week and Ty Lucy was just what I needed - comfortable and well equipped. Thankfully I did not meet another vehicle on either of the access roads - and so did not have to use any reversing skills I have. It was lovely in the evenings to be able to wander down the 100 yds or so down to the coastal path and sit and watch the sea for 20 minutes before returning to eat. My grandfather was born in St Davids, but moved away, and I try to get down there every so often. In many respects it is not that different to how it was in the 1950s and it was good to be back. I will certainly consider basing myself again at Ty Lucy. The one thing I was not so happy with was having to go grovelling behind the toilet in order to turn the water on - and I also turned it off at the end of my stay. Ty Lucy is a beautiful little cottage close to the coast path and St. David's. It was great to have pretty much immediate access to both. The cottage was functional but comfortable and we enjoyed our quiet evenings in!
Beautiful location. Cosy cottage. Could be improved by a bit more cobweb dusting and a proper range of glasses
Ty Lucy was a great place to hide away & still have amenities close by. Had everything to make our stay comfortable & has a glimpse of the sea too.
Lovely cottage - much more spacious than it looks from the outside - in a very quiet rural area with great access to coastal walks. The location, although stunning, made it difficult for us to eat out in the evening because we don’t like driving along very narrow country roads after dark. This meant we did a lot of cooking at home which, because of the rather antiquated cooker, could be a bit of a chore. But overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend Ty Lucy. Just get a new cooker, please.
Comfortable, quiet and very well located a few hundred yards from the coast path. The only reservation is the long (half mile) winding single road to reach it - little better than a farm track, with very few passing places, and low ground clearance. We were lucky not to meet any vehicle coming the other way! The cottage is well equipped. Although seemingly remote it is only a ten minute drive from St David’s.
Nice comfortable cottage well equipped in a beautiful location if you like remoteness, I do . Good Wi-Fi during my stay overall a very pleasant weeks stay .
Initial difficulties with WI fi were resolved. Location was excellent but the condition of the front door gave a poor initial impression. Cleanliness of kitchen pans utensils etc was not good. Cleaners attending the adjacent property used the Ty Lucy parking space which scared us a little as it was not at all clear that they were at the adjacent property. TV reception was very poor at times.
Lovely cottage ideally situated between Solva and StDavids with easy access to the coastal pat.h. Very homely feel and good outdoor space. Bathroom and kitchen could do with some TLC and there was a damp smell in the main room but otherwise great.
The cottage was not very clean and was damp even in very hot weather. The WiFi was really outdated and didn't support modern devices. The TV signal was terrible and the remote didn't work. Kitchen needs a new cooker and a new set of crockery. Definitely one of the worst Pembrokeshire Coastal Cottages property I have stayed in since the 1980's.

Lovely location. Facilities in the property are as advertised. Would benefit from attention to detail when cleaning. Cobwebs, dead insects and dust throughout. And the oven was dirty.
Superb location, worst welcome pack ever experienced.Damp and smelly! Only one tea towel for the week. Cutlery needs replacing however bed linen great and curtains were good. Had to leave a day early due to damp smell. We would not stay there again, any compensation?

We love Ty Lucy but having stayed there last year we thought that the cottage had not been maintained as well as it’s could have been. There was mould due to damp that should have been noticed and cleaned, the job was sticky. The light in the refrigerator was broken. The washing machine tripped and the cooker hood light was also out - these were fixed very efficiently by Coastal cottages as soon as we alerted them. However, that cooker hood light was out last year too and Coastal said they knew about it. For how long I wonder?
Charming little cottage let down by a lack of TLC.
What a fabulous hidden away little gem of a place, so peaceful & ideally located
Lovely- just what we wanted
Comfortable and well equipped cottage in very good location for walking on the coast path. Very peaceful and quiet.
Coastal Cottages is an excellent company with friendly, helpful and informative staff. We particularly liked the Concierge service and the Dine at home experience. We would definitely recommend this knowledgeable, professional and family run business.
