Not as clean and comfortable as we would have liked. Location excellent but they did not provide what we normally expect from an expensive holiday cottage.

The location is amazing: right next to the coastal path and with a sea view from the kitchen and upper bedroom. The standard of cleanliness was far below what I would expect from a holiday rental. There was a layer of grime/fat/dust/crumbs on and in many surfces and cupboards in the kitchen, and at the edges of the floor. Many plates, cups, saucepans, chopping boards, cutlery and utensils were dirty. There was a thick layer of slime mould inside the cutlery drying pot. There were two chipped cups (a meningitis health hazard) and two pans had so much burnt food or rust on the surface that they were unusable. There weren't enough large usable pans to easily cook for 4 people, let alone 6. There were cobwebs, copious amounts of dust and peeling paint in most of the living spaces. The only part of the cottage that doesn't look tired and in need of some TLC is the upper bedroom. There was dirt on the tiles in the shower. There was human and animal hair on the base sheet in the double bed. The sheet felt crisp and clean but needed thorough shaking and brushing out before use. Parking space was limited and manouvering a family sized car in the limited space was difficult and time consuming. We scratched the paintwork on our car on the overgrown brambles when reversing out from the parking space next to the cottage. The toilet blocked upon first use but the owners were quick to fix this. The re-clean on the second day was not a significant improvement however. The reviews on your website for this property are not dated, nor do they give a quantitiatve rating. We cannot be the only recent visitors to be disappointed but without the feedback from other visitors we were unaware of these issues prior to booking. We have previously had some great holiday rentals from your company but will not be booking with you again unless your review and rating system undergoes significant change.
The cottage was well equipped but wasn’t particularly clean. Access is difficult down a narrow path so better to reverse. Brilliant access to the coastal path but quite a drive to anywhere other than st David’s. The front door handle was broken and caused us to be locked out a couple of times. It was good, spacious, warm accommodation but could do with a refresh.

Lovely cottage great location. Wi-Fi non existent and only 3G on mobile data.
We keep coming back to this cottage because the location is perfect. Cottage suits us but could do with a bit of updating e.g. decent frying pan and chopping knife. Last time the septic tank was very smelly and made being in the garden unpleasant. But the living room is great and location is excellent.
