I loved my original version of the CoffeeJack, and had no hesitation in pledging for the updated v2. Wow! Stunningly impressive. A squeak developed fairly early on, but after returning my unit to Co... See more

I like my coffeejack, but I have a small issue. However they have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE whatsoever. It is impossible to contact them and find out how to solve my issue.
Great Espresso until it broke
I *really* liked my Coffeejack. I bought one for myself and one for my parents. It makes great espresso once you learn how to use it. Unfortunately, mine stopped working this morning and I cannot figure out how to fix it. I know that the designers are too busy to be able to provide customer service. It sucks that the machine stopped working right before I went on a trip (I *love* being able to travel with good espresso, which the Coffeejack made possible), which is hugely disappointing. I'd love to get it diagnosed and fixed, but I get the feeling that is unlikely. It sucks that a cute startup doesn't have the capacity to help old customers while trying to build a business. I feel for them, but I'm, also disappointed.
Mine broke
Mine broke, same place as many other users. Instead of replacing the part CJ gave me a discount code to buy the replacement part. Which was still waaaayy too expensive. Has the part been redesigned so it won't break again? I didn't want to find out to be honest. The whole experience with CJ has been pretty wack, I threw mine in the bin.
Flawed design and bad customer service
I ordered a CJ via Kickstarter. Issues during Covid mean it took a very long time to arrive and, also as a result of Covid, I have worked from home and not used it as much as I had hoped. Despite not using it too much, the same crack has happened as described in numerous other reviews and I can't get hold of anyone in Customer Services to understand what can be done. Doubly frustrated because I just forked out for a (very expensive) CoffeeJack tamper as it is a non-standard basket size so you have to get a specific one. Such a shame because it should be brilliant.
Excellent
Yes, it took a while but most of that was due to covid. So it's only fair to put that aside in terms of the review. The product is now excellent and fit for purpose. Its use entails a short learning curve and, above all, a gentle touch. It makes excellent coffee. It is a credit to the designers who have also maintained their dignity and integrity throughout.
Great perseverance to produce a Great Product!
I was a very early backer and - as an inventor/entrepreneur myself - I totally commiserate with all of the frustrations you've experienced in ultimately bringing to the market products that far exceeded my expectations! Keep up the Great Work!
Great Espresso outdoors and off grid
Even though this product took longer than expected to arrive, it actually did.
The team are a dedicated hard working group striving to deliver the best they can.
The CoffeJack is really good, I don't use it as often as I expected but my circumstances changed since I ordered it. I do use it when carravaning and when off the beaten path it pairs great with my JetBoil.
Where I have been enjoying my CoffeeJack
I have been enjoying my CoffeeJack. I have traveled with it many places and enjoyed an espresso when otherwise I would not have (on a plane instead of generic coffee, on a beach watching a sunrise before the coffe shops open, in the Cascades away from civilization). Definitely portable, definite easy to use. The funnel and spreader have helped take the experience to a higher level and I am getting better consistent results.
Although the development and delivery…
Although the development and delivery schedules were delayed, the developers still completed the development responsibly, and the quality of the products received was very good, exceeding expectations.
A minor miracle in the history of coffee
This is an incredible human-powered precision machine. It makes a beautiful shot of espresso when used properly, perfectly enjoyable.
wonderful espresso anywhere
The wonderful espresso from the coffee jack is so easy achieve and can be done nearly anywhere. Great travel companion.
Have had a few hiccups with seals and ordering. Lost confidence in delivery so have not ordered new accessories. But will soon.
Still love the coffeejack!
Satisfied and a brilliant idea
After tweaking a few things per the Coffee Jack web site/You Tube videos, I fell in love with the outcome. Using the Coffee Jack has now become the only way I make coffee. It took a little time to get used to, about a week, and now has become a daily ritual in my life.
The result was worth the wait.
My Coffeejack went to my son & daughter-in-law who use it often and have found that it makes very good espresso. The final design, the quality of materials, and the quality of manufacturing turned out well. Yes, I waited a few years for it, but no Kickstarter project comes with any guarantees for timeliness. Thanks for taking the time to get it right. I'd much rather wait for an excellent product than settle for lesser quality delivered quickly.
Great Espresso
I am writing this review enjoying a CoffeeJack espresso. I have had my CoffeeJack about a year and use it a few days a week. It is easy to use and clean, it's portable, compact and makes great espresso.
The jack and the van
While this coffee jack was being "constructed" I was also building a camper out of a former delivery van. My project also took 3x as long as I had estimated owing to the fact I'd never done it before.
Now my little Sprinter sits ready to go with everything I need and that brings me much joy! A favorite item is my coffeejack which was designed with great attention to detail I truly appreciate and gives me excellent espresso whenever I like. Its compact size fits perfectly in my compact little home on wheels.
This van has a huge front windshield which gives me an excellent view forward. That's the view I choose to take with this coffeejack project. Rather than focusing on the past and its hiccups I look forward to a future with many new adventures while I enjoy every cup of coffee
on the way.
Happy Coffeejacker!
Just to be clear, this little magic coffee maker is my best friend while travelling with our RV. The coffee is great!
And yes, as a backer I had to wait some months before it was sent to me. But who cares! We all had a difficult time during COVID and I really feel like this start-up cared. And still cares. It was worth the wait and I am a happy coffeejacker!

I am in my 70s and have loved coffee my whole life. I prefer espresso, but I couldn't afford an expensive espresso machine. But now, thanks to COFFEEJACK, I am happy that I can enjoy the best espresso at home or anywhere. Moreover, thanks to some recently added accessories (Dosing Funnel, Puck Screen, Distributor & Set Level Tamper), I can now enjoy espresso very conveniently and easily.
The machine itself is great
The machine itself is great. Takes some time to understand it perfectly. However the seals last several months and if you don't have spares to replace it will make watery coffee. So I would say get extra gaskets and a few extra pucks so you can make one for a friend. The holder/mount is a must so you can see the extraction.
When it works perfectly the espresso is amazing. Looking forward to my second one that I ordered and have yet to receive.
I would recommend and say that the wait is worth it. Also a huge plus is cleaning is very easy.
Much better than expected
As a startup, I was expecting delays. I was not disappointed. But I received my CoffeeJack and I was not disappointed. Quick and easy to use. Delicious espresso. Quick and easy to clean. I leave mine at my office so that I can have a great cup of espresso whenever I feel like it, instead of a cup from the large pot of typical American coffee.
And, about the delay: this startup was different than most in that they continually kept us informed about everything that was going on. A lot of the delay was because they were remanufacturing items that their contractors did not get quite right. They could have shipped a crappy product - I've had other internet crowdsource startups to that - but they didn't. They invested a huge amount of time and their own money to make a product that 100% matched (or even exceeded) what was promised.
Great espresso awaits you
I’ve been using CoffeeJack for sometime now. After some initial experimentation, I am now able to consistently get a great espresso.
There was a long delay and get the product. I contribute that to all the Covid madness.
The product works great once you figure out how to use it to your liking. I highly recommend this product.
The Coffeejack is pretty good
The Coffeejack is pretty good. If you want something for on the move that gives you a bit of a créma, then it’s a nice alternative to an aeropress. I use filter paper above and below the puck to prevent chanelling and start slowly to pre-infuse the puck. Not yet tried the puck screen, but suspect that might help with extraction. I’ve built the coffee jack into my morning routine, so the preparation required is a bit of a ritual in itself. It has to be said, the hand pumping is pretty satisfying. Had this now for over a year, no issues with it. Do watch the instruction videos though before you use for the first time though!
